One of the best video instructions I ever see. Really helpful, recommend it.
Fantastic video. Keep going 👍🚘🤗
Thank you
good job
Awesome video! 😎💯👌🏾
Thank you
@@SuperFastDriver You're welcome! 🙏🏾😊🤞🏾
Which engine stand is that?
Great video. Did yoy lubricate the crank bolt with oil/loctite or install dry
Hi, thank you! I install it dry no loctite
👍👍👍
Just before you install the upper oil pan, there is a seal for the oil filter housing which direction does it go on?
All videos seen to skip detail on this part.

what do you mean which direction? That is not something that needs much attention probably that is way people not recording it, but as every gasket for me better to be replaced..
@@SuperFastDriver You are probably right, I want to replace this gasket and all other gaskets, I definitely agree with you there, and fully intend on building the engine that way. however once I removed the pan it fell out and I did not have a chance to see which direction it came out, I like to be 100% sure especially since this pan cannot be easily removed once in the vehicle.
Can I reach you by Email for advice on a 05' N62 issue ? Please.

Just wondering them bolts at the back of the engine that tighten down the rear crank seal, do those hold the upper oil pan on? Basically just wondering if the transmission would need to be removed to do upper oil pan gasket because it really looks that way? Thank you
yes unfortunately you have to remove the transmission
@@SuperFastDriver wow that's some BS. I thought so! What car do you have? And have you got it driving yet?
@@radianm6 I have E60 550i, it’s my daily driver, so far running great :)
@@SuperFastDriver That's awesome. Do you have an Instagram I can give you a follow
@@radianm6 I don’t have instagram, but thanks :)
Is oil pump nut reverse thread
it is normal thread
You did not change crank sprocket (it looks fine btw) if the sprocket has some teeth slightly grinded from loose chain can this have any negative effect?
Chain fits nice and tight around sprocket only 6-7 teeth have marks
How is oil pump chain tighthened is it from turning shaft until tight
Great video... I noticed how the driver side timing guides have bolts, how does the passenger lower go on and come off? Does it just pull off and push on? Thank you.
Hi, thank you :)
yes, but once you install the cylinder heads, there is one more screw on each side check out timing procedure video
@@SuperFastDriver yup. I already have heads pulled. Replaced driver side lower guide bc they updated and changed the guide from the original so I had to pull the timing cover. So I replaced the upper too... bit now thinking of just replacing passenger side as well since cover is off
But yeah I was looking at it last night on my car and I noticed passenger side isn't a star bolt like driver side
@@radianm6 the guide rails bolts which are fixing to the cylinder heads has to be the same bolts, it is Torx bolt M8x38
The lower bolts are pinbolts you just slide the guides
better replace everything now, since the cover is off, it is not a problem if the bolt is different, hexagonal or torx, as long is M8 and it’s the right length
it will still run hot melt all the gasket and then you will still have a leaky piece of shit
looks like you had bad experience with it..
