1) How to know which company as declared Bones/spilt share (Record date). Since we have time to buy shares from record date to last buying date
2) How will know which is original share and which is bonus share before selling. Will that indicate.

If I purchased 100 XYZ Shares - say on 01 Jan 2019
Sell 50 XYZ Shares (holding shares - 50, before 365 days) - say on 01 March 2019
and again Purchase 50 XYZ shares (holding shares - 100, before 365 days) - say on 01 Apr 2019
and sell 50 XYZ shares (holding shares - 50, before 365 days) - say on 01 May 2019 *(Which share will get sell - Purchased on 01 Jan 2019 OR Purchased on 01 Apr 2019)*
and sell 50 XYZ shares (holding shares - 0, after 365 days) - say on 01 Feb 2020
So, Should I have to pay short term income tax in 50 XYZ shares and long term income tax on 50 XYZ shares OR Short term again on 100 XYZ shares profit?
How share buys and sells calculations happen for income tax when I am doing some buy & sell transaction on XYZ shares?

You are doing a great job by sharing the knowledge of investing. With respect to this video, I have a few doubts.
1. If I bought a share and sold out in 2 to 6 months with gain, do I have to pay taxes over it as this would be short term capital gain? and what about taxation if the share price goes down
2. could you please tell me if a person wants to buy shares and in less than a year he wants to sell it for expenses. Is there any other option to invest money so that tax can be saved?
3. With respect to the above video, What if a person wants to sell only one share. Is there any provision to sell a share either the bonus share or the share which is bought earlier?

There are several cost components when buying or selling an equity share like BROKERAGE, Exchange TXN CHARGE, GST, SEBI FEES, STAMP DUTY, and STT. It will be helpful if you can present a practical example showing how these various cost components are to be accounted for while calculating amount of capital gain/loss
I would also like to understand that this concept of calculating capital gain/loss for bonus shares is also applicable to demerged companies like Suven life or Future consumer etc wherein the shares of the demerged companies are received at zero cost... Thanks!!

a) Long term capital gain

2) In order to receive the benefits of a company (like dividends,bonus shares,split shares) do we need to do any action (like exercise voting rights or anything else) or its simply that I buy the shares and if the company is making great profits they will only provide the benefits ?
