Just got mine yesterday 10.28.2023. This thing is a beast compared to my Stihl handheld BG86. Wore it for at least 45 minutes and no issues with comfort and I don't have a great back at 50. Never needed to refill the tank, so no idea how long this thing goes. The term "Gamechanger" is so overused, but this thing is just that! It's able to do a gentle breeze to outright roar so it isn't just for tackling huge open areas. Works great in flowerbeds too. Making Fall fun again for this guy.
I think gamechanger is totally accurate for this backpack blower. Like you, we used the hand-held machine for years. I can't believe we didn't try a backpack blower sooner. I guess it's because they are somewhat of an investment - not cheap. But now that we have one, we're tempted to buy another one so that Jennifer and I can both be using them at the same time!
Totally agree! I wore it for a few hours at a time on several occasions now. No complaints. And it's absolutely amazing. When Jennifer puts the BR800 on, and I'm back with the little handheld, I start thinking - why am I bothering - she can do in two minutes with the backpack what would take me 10-20 minutes with the handheld.

the leaves are the worst part of fall - I try to chop my leaves with the BX, but it is amazing how the front tires pick the leaves up and put them on top of the mower deck. I had a battery powered backpack blower, but it was stolen along with 3 power saws and a few other power tools. The best part of the backpack blower is how you can get some of your time back. I remember as a kid, helping neighbors rake their lawns. Day after day raking and hauling the leaves away into the woods. have a great day - cheers
You're absolutely right about the tires holding on to those leaves, and then releasing them at the exact right time to lay them on top of the mower deck. Sorry to hear that someone stole your tools! That's so aggravating.

Hi David - They're not a cheap tool for sure. But they're not $800 here. Maybe prices vary by location? If it's as reliabel as my other Stihl power equipment, and saves our backs from raking, it's worth it. Thanks for watching!
Oooo!! That thing is so sweet but I seem to get away with using the riding lawn mower to blow the leaves back into the tree line!! Having mostly coniferous trees on the compound helps 😂 great video Chad!
Thanks! I mulched the leaves with the JD 2210 for years. But now that I mow with the zero turn, and don't have the mulching kit for it - I needed to be able to blow them further into the woods than the zero turn can do. The backpack blower is powerful enough to push them beyond just the edge. Thanks, James. We appreciate you watching and commenting!
I love the jobs that can be fun, but accomplish work at the same time. (Not many of those, I can tell you!) 😊 Just out of curiosity, have you ever used a machine called a Billy Goat? It's like a vacuum cleaner for leaves and yard debris. If not, I'd check into them...a new toy..I mean...piece of equipment is always exciting to look into. 😎 Thanks Chad for the videos!

The BR800 is a beast! I find it pretty comfortable to wear for and extended period of time. I would definitely buy again!

I actually just used mine last night to blow snow off the sidewalk. First time I've ever used the blower to move snow. It was fun!
