    I could watch Richie all day talking about music. So knowledgeable and he just loves what he's doing. Would be awesome to see him talking about production.

    Those 30 minute drops, bringing back the lost bass! Nothing like it. No one does it better than Richie!

    Growing up in Detroit I feel lucky to catch Richie early in his career and watch how far he’s come. One thing I can say is he has always been pushing the technology and he’s been thinking about how to play this way even when no would ever think about not using turntables!!!!!

    Didn't know about Duet Display... I tried the same thing with "Splashtop Extended Wireless Display", which does work, but barely... Good to know!
    I don't like that you have to connect it via USB, though... The whole beauty of it would be a wireless connection... Especially since the USB port of the iPad (3) sucks so much, the cable just constantly gets disconnected...

    I also try to use Traktor and Ableton together. On 11:50 he shows both programs, and is talking about how he doesn't sync the two programs together. On this screen i see he has both programs locked on 126bmp. Even when i do sync the two programs together it only changes the BPM on both programs. That still doesn't mean that the beat is synced, because i can temporarily slow down the Traktor track, In this case the speed of both tracks is still the same, but the beat is isn't on the same time. So how does this limit me?

    how is he setup x1 to control push tempo to get that clap in time?

    • @alexmetromusic
      @alexmetromusic 9 років тому

      Paul Neary He's got some funky Ableton mapping going on. He's not sending midi clock from Traktor.

    • @DEEJAYSTORE
      @DEEJAYSTORE 9 років тому

      Paul Neary x1 midi mode sending midi to ableton bpm clock

    • @jako5940
      @jako5940 8 років тому

      +Paul Neary i guess richie mapped the x1 with abletons tempo nudge for fine tuning the tempo. its beside the tap tempo button in the left corner

    • @alexmetromusic
      @alexmetromusic 8 років тому +1

      Christopher Heiß It's not midi mode. It's a direct mapping. I asked him. Now he doesn't even use the x1.

    • @aljowen
      @aljowen 9 років тому +1

      Ming Sin Ho There are also some other brands which do similar but different things. For example there is the ButtKicker stuff which is intended for more permanent installations. But you can put one on your couch and have it shake the whole thing if you get the correct setup. Or the gamer model will just shake your office chair etc.
