Zeal and Ardor is simultaneously "fuck yeah ima punch a bastard in the mouth" and "ill quietly drink this bourbon and vibe" and i cannot get enough of them
They're like Classy Angry in their vibe.
The sonic equivalency of dressing up in your Sunday bests and chucking molotov coctails.

@@korautoti60 - it's heavily metaphorical of course, maybe even just associative. The Greek god is the USA or Western culture (horse+highway). Why a Greek god then? Imagine one of these old god statues, not actual Greek culture - so: power, self-aggrandizement. Line 3 is quite literal. And line 4 could mean "the end of the Western/American way", so we wake up when it's too late after our dominance (our "day") has made us blind/lazy (because of social strife, climate change, who knows).
But these are just my thoughts, poetry is for the reader to feel.

When I first heard to Wake of A Nation, I liked how they used those bass hits and noise walls, and I wished to hear it again. Long story short, I loved this!

Zeal & Ardor together with Algiers have to be my favourite fusion acts of the past few years

@@carrion1234 Ich hab keinen Reichsadler gesehen, und Lorbeerkranz und Krone verbinde ich mit so ziemlich jedem Herrscher der Weltgeschichte seit den Römern.
Aber vielleicht bin ich wirklich zu naiv, und er bezog sich eben nicht einfach nur auf den Thumbnail des Tracks. Wissen kann man das nie, und spekulieren hilft nicht weiter, solange sich die Person nicht selbst äußert.

Why are the comments disabled on most of these? I was going to comment on Gotterdammerung because damn, those screams in German sound amazing, but I couldn't. German is already a pretty angry sounding language but with heavy vocals like that it's absolutely brutal. I'd love to find more bands with that sound.

Wtf, this song is a rip off of Nico Vega - Beast of America. Exact same melody, even the lyrics are the same in some places. This is awful they copied it..
This band releases way too many singles months before the album. Good way to make people skip more than half your album when it comes out
