Yahoo!! First successful warped template made! I have tried so many times unsuccessfully until someone recommended your tutorial. Thank you so much for making this easy to follow.
I have never been able to get my templates correct. I’ve had silhouette business forever and I avoid the warp panel. I couldn’t get it right. I followed your directions here and just made the absolute perfect template for my cup. I do sublimation so the sizing is important. I’m so excited to know how to do this now. Thank you so much.

I don't have access to Silhouette Studio. You mentioned Adobe Illustrator during this tutorial. Would I still be able to achieve the same effect using Illustrator? If so, do you have any tips that would help?

Help!!!!! I've tried this approach and I still cant get my vinyl to wrap around my skinny tumbler and have the design align. Im trying to cut out mermaid scales and once I reach the end the scales are completely off. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I have Silhouette studio designer edition plus. When I go to save the file, I don't have the option of saving this as an SVG. Do you know why that is? My options are "Silhouette Studio V3, Silhouette Studio V2 and GSP". I don't know what any of these mean, so I just selected the first option when saving. How can I save as an SVG?

I have opened the warp tool and looked around and I can not find the conical warp for the life of me. I haven’t tried! But that’s definitely something I will look into! I feel like a tapered bottle would be a good thing to experiment with!
@@KarleyHall I’ve been experimenting with this vid instruction as a baseline and it does make the skinnier part easier to “mold” (for Sublimation) but now the edges of the cylindrical body don’t meet lol. Hopefully you can make some magic of it❤️

You can cover it in painters tape, trace your logo, cut it off.
Great tutorial. I am going to upgrade to business. I did not understand that I needed it to go back and forth with Cricut. I have to check which I bought plus it not. I do have a question, where do you get all if the different patterns I see people using to fill in the cup. I want to print out on my sublimation printer and design them myself. I have bought files where you just slip in pictures, which is neat, but I cannot change their pattern if I want less pictures and want to add a saying or a name on the cup. So I want to be able to design my cups and fill in the designs and colors. Thank you for sharing your knowledge that newbies can understand.

Hi Karley. This video is awesome! I just have one question.... how do I do this if my tumbler is bigger than the 12” to fit in the space? My cup is a 30oz and I can’t fit the image in the box on silhouette
You shouldn’t have any issues with size limitations in either program- make sure you are using the measurements you came up with to create the first rectangle.
@@KarleyHall I did use the measurements. I cut the strings just like you said but this tumbler is like the yetti tumbler with a huge curve to the bottom half and apparently nobody can make this template. Could you make a template for me? I would totally pay you for it. I just can’t figure it out 🤦🏻♀️ I’m ready to throw the cup out 🤣
I have never used Silhouette Studio and only have a Cricut. Can you drop the warp photo into your tapered template that you make and save that file as a PNG or JPG?
Yes you can! You will need to upgrade to business edition to export it. The link in my description is still good and it’s often on sale!
Would it be possible to make this template from scratch with no online program? As long as you had the diameter of top and bottom? I'm just looking for a way to get tracing paper to wrap a round a bowl I'm drawing on
Tracing paper is a great option! Figure out your template and then trace it digitally using a design program! Clean it up and it’ll be pretty close :)
currently do for 12oz paper cup. how to put design on this if using illustrator? i mean should i do in rectangle scale first?

You need business edition(linked in description) for the conical warp function. Design has limited warp options.

You’d have to use the technique I teach but instead of using the software to warp your line, you’d have to create your own curves :)
I have Designer Edition 4.4 and my license key is activated but I do not have the conical warp tool. What am I missing?
You have some warp functions with designer edition- but need business edition for conical warp! I haven’t replayed this video for a while- so I apologize if I misspoke in the video. You can upgrade from designer to business though!

You absolutely can. But not nearly as easily.

Wine glasses are pretty tricky. I wouldn’t recommend doing a full wrap. A decal or scattered shapes would be a lot easier :)
I’m just curious as to why you designed in silhouette but took it to Cricut for cutting. Why didn’t you just cut in silhouette?
I prefer cutting with my cricut. And most of my viewers have Cricuts so it’s important for me to show it’s possible with the cricut!

This is just for the cold cups. The hot reusable cups are a lot smaller (at least the one I have is). But you could follow the steps in the video to create a wrap for the hot cups!

Yep! There is a free version you can try! It just doesn’t have these features I show in this video!

You’re right! I saw the warp panel was in Designer (but is missing conical warp). In Designer Plus & BE you get conical warp capabilities :(! If you have designer- you can upgrade from designer to business for $35!

Most people don’t have a flexible ruler so this was my solution 😅
