    You are right. When I looked at the estimate 3.8m was needed and I wondered where I was going to get that money. Well kidogo kidogo I started doing it and never looked back...from 2019 and by 2020 the external work and inside was done. Then other things followed.
    My undoing in all this was the fact that I am in the Diaspora and I was relying on fundis for buying of materials and the cost shot up to 4.3m.
    I have never dedicated myself to a project like I did for my house. I was sleeping,working and thinking of the house.
    I am delighted. The sacrifice between 2019 and 2021 was worthwhile however painful but well deserved.

    I didn't think I would watch the entire video, few minutes into it and I couldn't pull myself away from it, so many insights and wise tips about building one's dream home. Dr Sam truly has his dream house, simple, beautiful, and greatly aligned to his desire of a functional house! Congratulations to him and his family, May God bless them with a happy life in their new house! Kudos to you Mr Muema for interviewing the Dr and for a nice interactive and eye opening session that you have presented to us!

    His is a beautiful house. I love the window security/ safety feature. 20 years ago I built a school in rural Tanzania and I did the same on the classroom windows. The metal security bars on the window actually opened from the inside. Everything about this house is beautiful and well thought out. I too am a proponent of tiny house living . Congratulations ❤

    I Am an American and my Husband is from Kenya!! His cousin has her Master bedroom bathroom like how the American home bathroom are! I would NOT build any of my bathroom in this type of style! I also have seen how it’s an open bathroom with the toilet sitting right damn near the shower! No space and now barrier on the floor to keep the water from going all over the bathroom when you’re showering no no! That’s how my mother-in-law bathroom is and I’m glad that it is some things that I’m gonna put in place. That’s gonna help the family with the water to be stopped from going all over the floor and I’m putting up a shower rod that will connect to the wall so I can put up two shower curtain and this Water barrier rubber block to stop the water from going all over the floor!

    I like precast panels because I do see many possible architectural possibilities now like circular or oval exterior walls instead of traditional straight ones, even circular buildings like manyattas that are connected vie corridors. Is it a possibility in the near future? Where buyers are more style conscious in terms of non conventional building styles.

    • @PropertyNoma
      @PropertyNoma  Рік тому

      I would hope that people are more conscious when it comes to construction. But we're getting there slowly by slowly
