It's an app though. There are a tonne of similar apps for Android that let you transfer files wirelessly.
I remember I was looking for one for some months and finally I found SendAnywhere app on both OS. The main question is if the quality is no lossless.
The breakthrough is for apple users
Today, I decided to finally upgrade to Windows 11 for 2 main reasons, Dark mode and this app for my iPhone after ditching MacOS for it's lack of upgradability. So far, I'm pleased. Thank you Matthew!
Yuppp
Don't worry Matt I checked Windows on ARM for you 🤔. It works 👍. Plain bizzare ARM is everywhere but on Windows we're carrying on as if it doesn't even exist.
Hey Matthew what about KDE Connect? It works pretty well for seeing your phone's notifications on your computer, transferring files but I don't think the phone call bit works.
Thats also legit
How do you choose which SIM to use when sending an SMS or making a call from the PC using Unison?
Thank GAWD. Finally!
It's run on Intel or AMD, but the transfer data is not from LAN/intranet. It's using internet
Hopefully it's more reliable than the still really buggy Phone Link which still just closes itself.
How bout syncthing? I even don't need to be in same location to drop files.....
Finally a video that does not start with the word so 😅
Seems to me Airdrop is a must have for iPhone users. Have never met an Android user who craves it. With cloud syncing I've just never had the need.. Photos are synced with my PC in seconds.
Thats an option for iphone users also, cloud, but many iphone users do custom projects and video editing and cloud makes things confusing
The main question is if the quality of photos is the same after sending photos.
Are you dumb ? Ofcourse it'll be same quality
Can't find the app on my store
Any help?
The catch is you need to be in windows 11, I don't personally want to becasue I heard it sucks out battery on a laptop
It kinda does, i mean both do, but my number one hate with win11 is its more like macios
Thank you, Matt, that could be very useful, I'll try this right now 💖
That's wonderful and way better than Phone Link, only thing is missing is a dark mode 👀(I believe in you Intel, you can do it)
If you have an HP you can use HP quick drop
You forgot to mention that the Microsoft Store app does NOT run on Windows 10 (and will not D/L to it), and specifies Gen 13 Evo requirement. Pshaw to you Intel.
I just installed on an amd system lol it’s in the video and it will download.
Windows 10 is End of Life in 2 years. It's almost a decade old. This isn't uncommon. Most of the built in Windows 11 store apps aren't being ported to Windows 10.
@@bradavonya windows 11 is basically more MacOS and has more ssl style features also to integrate cloud more forcefully.
@@MatthewMonizit will not on a Win10 system
I cant find the app?
but it's very slow
I love the functionality but the smartphone app causes serious battery drain issues on my Galaxy s22. It's a shame really
Windows has phone link
You need windows 11 tho
Yes
You don't...
@@yuyenbruh ??? The guy who uploaded the video literally answered
The laptop?
Only on Windows 11 tho, no ?
Yup. Windows 10 days are numbered
AirDroid doesn't need PC app
Still not available in my Dell Inspiron 12 th Gen. Could it be possible that it’s not released to users in India or something else?
I have a dell inspiron with 12th gen evo processor i'm using it without any hiccups
I don’t have it (I’m on AMD)
And on win 10
Me and the boys on Linux using kde connect
Intel has some of the cleanest looking apps though
Good guy Intel, I guess
👌🏻👌🏻
Man's boutta play OW2 on iOS
I don’t mess around
doesnt work again
Oh my god finally😅😅😅
So it's like kde connect in Linux?
yeah
So does it use local network or this file it goes over the internet to riches my phone
local
@@MatthewMoniz nice
Cool but not worth upgrading to windows 11 over.
Why dont tell the people that it does not work with win10 and they need to upgrade to a better pc cuz their current setup which they are using is running 22H2 version and it can not be updated to win11
Win 10 is end of like next two years. Time to upgrade
@@MatthewMonizyou can upgrade to 11, what are you talking about
How can u send text?
There's a text message tab.
I use Google Drive idk if I ever need other apps
Then you have to use the internet and it requires you to wait to upload the file then redownload it. Takes longer
@@MatthewMonizalso degrades
I just tested it on my laptop and phone. And it is too slow. It's like other apps.
I also tested with samsung flow and samsung flow is way way faster than intel unison if you have a samsung phone.
But it is too slow
Only on windows 11
THat's fine Windows 10 is end of life in 2 years. time to upgrade!
@@MatthewMoniz there are some win10 that is not in win11. And I use it a lot.
Imagine you download a file from chrome, you want to move it to desktop, you left click and hold on the file in chrome, move the cursor to the right corner, desktop will appear, you leave the file on the desktop and you moved it successfully. It's just not possible with win11.
If only it works on Windows 10
You mean windows 11
@@MatthewMoniz it requires windows 11, yes. but i wanted it to be available for windows 10 also, which is what I have now and i dont plan on upgrading till much later
Nearby sharing for Android is much better
Sure for Android but if you have an iPhone this is pretty much your only option right now.
@@MatthewMoniz you're right for Ios to Windows this is the only tool "better" tool.
Not on win 10
There is a way to install on win 10. I just downloaded it on my win 10
@@hasanagera can u explain further
@@perfecttroubler1767 it shows how to install the app on windows 10. It's kind of long to install but if you need the app then go ahead. If you have samsung phone, then use samsung flow because it's way better.

@@hasanagera thank you it worked, but your link disappeared

Why use apples phone but not their computers? That's goofy. The whole purpose of their eco system is the seamless integration between devices.
I use Nearby Share from Google, works flawlessly.
