Congratulations! I found out I was pregnant with baby #3 right before I started my first semester as a school counselor. I'm due in April! It was definitely a shock for my husband and I because we didn't think we would try for another baby for another 2 years, but God had different plans for us. You guys are going to do great! ❤
My son was 2 1/2 when I had my second. I Def felt guilty that my attention had to be focused on the new baby. Eventually, you get into a rhythm, and then you watch your little ones have a beautiful bond, which makes it all worth it. I just had my 3rd. He is 2 weeks old, and his two brothers are 7 and 9, and the guilt still never goes away. The attention is focused on the new baby again. I think it is always going to feel that way initially, but it always gets better, and it is so cool to watch his older brothers show him so much love.

Oh wow, your family is growing. You guys remind me of me and my wife. We have three girls together, 22, 21, and 15, and I got two older daughters from my first wife who is deceased and the ages are 25 and 26. I have nothing but girls. I wanted at least one boy, but God blessed me with nothing but girls.

I have three under 4 and I felt the guilt of not spreading them out and spending more time with each. But literally my babies are best friends it’s the sweetest thing to see. ❤️
22:48 I am a mom that has only one and she is 3! It isn’t easy because we want to be fruitful and multiple but it hasn’t worked out yet. I would feel like starting over because she’s 3, I have forgotten what newborn things are like. I feel like it’s 50/50 but I feel like closer in age would help you remember more.

I can relate to the shock for sure. I’ve wanted to be a mama as long as I can remember.. fast forward, I’m almost 34 & pregnant with twins! (First pregnancy) I’m 28 weeks along & have only recently been able to find joy in this pregnancy. It takes such a mental toll on a person, and I think also the enemy will find anyway to try to destroy the dreams we once had.
But hey, GOD IS GOOD! And His plans for us prevail over any enemy attacks!

I don’t want to get pregnant on purpose… so we don’t try. The moment we start considering another baby- It happens because we make love- baby is made out of love. And that is Gods love. What a blessing. We have 5 kids and baby 4 was a huge surprise cause we were “done” with 3. But we are so in love and we try to prevent- but sometimes with natural sex between two committed adults- babies are made when NFP is used and ovulation makes us want to practice making babies. 😅 I use an app but we have risky behavior. I know my fertile window each month but THATS when I want to so…. Nature. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

YES. Everything y’all said. Our oldest was just 4 when our 4th child was born, so I get all the shock, silence, fear, etc. Our oldest is 6 now, so we are still “in the thick of it” in a lot of ways, but I still wouldn’t have chosen to do it any other way. Our two boys and two girls are all little besties and it is so sweet to see 🥹🥰 congrats, y’all!!!!!

I so appreciate your honesty. What you felt is normal. I was 3 months from having my son when I got pregnant with my daughter. Of course that was 39 years ago but it rocked my world. It was so overwhelming but also the best thing that ever happened to me and my husband. I wouldn't change it. There were challenging days but God saw us through. He will help you both through this and you will grow in ways you never thought about. You will become more intentional and praise God for His plan. Don't worry sit back and rest in His arms and enjoy the ride!

2:52 hey fellow mama here, I myself have Irish twins, had my first march of 2021 had my second February of 2022 and I love my girls, its certainly tough but despite my bad days with them I wouldn't trade it for the world. I had my first at 19 and when I found out I was pregnant I was 18 I had just dropped out of high school, I had gotten fired from my job and I was not making smart lifestyle choices, but the second I found out I was going to be a mom I changed everything and to this day I say she saved me, while I didn't mean to get pregnant she certainly was like a little gift from god and she put me on the right path and she truly saved me.
❤ When I married my ex husband his oldest daughter was only 2 months younger than my daughter, and people used to ask me all the time if they were twins, or some would even ask if they were Irish twins! 😅 I was like nope, and definitely nope! I could see maybe how they could have been real twins and say one twin were born prematurely, but Irish twins?! Do the math! 😂 I am sorry you had such bad days, and I hope you're making more smart choices for you and your girls. ❤ I would definitely get a bone density scan as soon as your doctor says you're a good candidate for one and make sure to eat a well balanced diet and or vitamins because having babies, especially so close together, but more particularly at such a young age (and if you breastfeed) can be really hard on our bodies and may deplete us of our own essential vitamins and nutrients. I am not saying this because I am like judging or anything like that trust me I got pregnant with my first at 19 and looking back, and especially looking at my daughter now at 19, I can see I was still so young almost a baby too! But anyways I'm only saying this because I actually really didn't know how much it took out us physically, to make our little blessings... and I wish I had been taking better care of myself than I have for the last 20 or 30 years, but I'm starting to now, 40 is better late than never! 😅 My grandparents actually never really started to and sadly they both passed away pretty young and that's a hole that's still felt in my family today. Or I should say there's nothing really muchleft of it since they've passed away. I've slowly quit talking to my toxic evil aunts. I can't help but wonder though if the grandparents were still here if they could have gotten their daughters to get their crap together though... but ofc we'll never know... anyways all we can do is take better care of ourselves then the generations before us did, and hope to be here to help our blessings from God survive, if not hopefully thrive on this big wild blue spinning rock am I right?? But so um yeah I personally definitely am getting on the healthy lifestyle bandwagon (not the green washed fake crap) just the basic well balanced diet- yk eat right (No I don't mean eating low fat or sugar free or low calorie/carb crap), consistent exercise, adequate water and sleep all the good stuff... I wish I could go back and tell my grandma all that... idk you might life a pretty healthy life already for all I know... 😂 But I guess I just wanted to make sure you knew, just in case no one told you- and that you are worth it, and your girls are going to grow up and take up and mimic the habits you display too so the better care you take of yourself the easier it will be for her them to. I know that not having a very good example of healthy living makes it hard for me to figure out how to live it, but I don't want to die young like they did, and miss out on things &/or not be here for my decendants when they need me like my grandparents. So that's a pretty big motivation to take better care of my body and live healthier then the examples I've had... I dunno I probably didn't need to tell you half of my life story but just hearing that you had girls so close together like my grandmother did with my mom and her sisters I just wanted to make sure you knew....

You will have moments of feeling overwhelmed, but i wouldn't trade my 3 for anything. I was basically doing it on my own as their biodad wasn't an involved dad. Y'all work together and that is your strength. AND you have God guiding you.

Lowkey felt y'all were pregnant in that NYC vlog because I got goose bumps when you shared that convo y'all had on the bed. God knew. This baby was orchestrated and I love the way Holy Spirit changes our hearts and minds. Growing your family is always a shock, and the most crazy beautiful life-changing moment of realization when you find out. Fellow PDXer here. Also, the, "So glad you finally announced!" is a real trigger for Josh. 😅 I think people say that, not to take away from you, but saying, "Congratulations!" alone would feel weird to say, because you both know they already knew, so it seems like they're faking not already knowing. And a mix of wanting people to know they're close enough to you both to already know. It didn't bother me, but I get EVERYONE is different. I didn't announce until six months, and what angered me was people being mad at us for not telling them sooner. We didn't tell even immediate family, because I had prior loses. Those family members would say things like, "I can't believe you didn't tell me sooner, and waited so long..." being genuinely mad at me, like, it's OUR baby... not theirs... I didn't have to tell them at all, if I wanted. It's my body. Not theirs. They have no "right" to know... That still ticks me off, a year and a half later.

I have irish triplets hehe 2019,2020&2021. You will forever be told you must be a busy mama. I finally hit the golden self play/independent play zone- all my Littles will have several play sessions without me so I can tidy or read or workout. Ages2,3&4 is when it gets a bit more managable.you guys got this especially since you guys have family support.

From my experience, and in my opinion it’s better to have your babies close in age! You’re already in the groove of having lil kids/babies, they get to actually grow up together, you already have the baby items that you’ll need for a new baby! I had my daughters at 19 and 21. And I swore I was done! Then I got pregnant 29 and 31 and let me tell you there’s a HUGE DIFFERENT in pregnancy the older you get! So now I have a 23yrs old, 20yrs old, 12yrs old and 11yrs old! My daughters grew up together and my sons are growing up together but my girls are just too much older than my boys so they don’t have that bond with each other like I would like!

Congratulations to you both!! I've had kids back to back so don't let others opinions get in your head. I'm a mom of 8 was a teen mom and today all but a couple are grown and the youngest are teens. Ppl will always have something to say and sometimes it's hard, but it's y'all's.life and y'all are happy and it's definitely a gift. Josh and Savanna you are not alone..... Or only one who has or soon to have three babies under three. My daughter, Has a son Noah who just turned 4 a daughter Layla who is two and has a newborn daughter Sophia who is currently 1month old. As much as its a shock it definitely a true blessing. Savanna I recommend getting as much rest as possible because you getting pregnant this early 6mos is when you get basically released from doctors care. I know you are strong woman just remember to take Savanna time. God bless your beautiful family.
