Thanks for the video. I changed my distributor on my 98 Accord. After I installed it, it won’t run. I think I had moved the rotor without knowing it. If this is the case, I can just turn the rotor back the other way and reinstall it,it should run, right ? Thanks
I believe it is the square shaped black and metal coil on bottom inside. It's right up against the shaft that has a fin on it. Near center of screen at 5:41
How do you do that my car won't start I'm thinking it's something to do with the electrical connection to the coil but I need to put a new o-ring in because there's oil leaking in the distributor I'm no mechanic I'm learning

The O ring and the Seal both need to be replaced to stop the oil from leaking in......and you might as well replace the bearings too. These cars are 20 + yrs old. Give it shot, and if it comes apart clean every thing with electrical cleaner spray and put in back together with the new oring and seal...... If not, like me you have to get another distributor. I bought a re-manufactured. It was less, expensive than a new one, or a used one from the salvage yard.
Thanks. Wishing you were my brother. The mechanic is charging me a lot to do the same in my 2000 Honda Accord. From California.
If we were closer we would gladly help.

I'm not sure.

What was the problem that made you decide to change the cap and rotor? The video was great. Was it do to being an older car and oil leaks?
There is another oil seal that "should' have been replaced. It is PITA because you have to remove the shaft.

I replaced mine with a brand new one and it still leaks.
I wonder if he knows what is he doing
Well, it is still working.
