Trigun - Vash Prepares for Final Battle (Japanese)

- One of my favourite scenes from the 1998 anime series "Trigun". This is where Vash gets ready for his final confrontation with Knives. I don't think anyone else uploaded it until now, so here it is.
I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE MATERIAL IN THIS VIDEO. TRIGUN IS OWNED BY MADHOUSE STUDIOS AND HAS BEEN LICENCED BY MADMAN ENTERTAINMENT, FUNIMATION AND MVM FILMS. THIS VIDEO WILL NOT BE MONETIZED.
The name of the music during this scene is called "Zero Hour" and can be found on both the "Trigun: The 2nd Donut Happy Pack" and "Trigun: Spicy Stewed Donut". - Фільми й анімація
So, now that I've finished the series, the plot as I understand it is that it's the story of a pacifistic space plant armed with a .45 who traveled the desert with a murderous priest and two insurance company representatives and they go on a quest to end the space plant's twin brother's plans to massacre everyone.
@The No.1 Guy Well to be honest they (Wash and Knifes) were superior to humans in every single way. So in a way nobody who knew who Vash or Knifes truly are didn't expect to have a chance against them. As much of a dick knifes was he was kinda like a little brother. He was too scare to be alone and that's why he didn't kill Vash and Vash did love his brother. In the end they need each other and maybe that's why this show ended with them walking away.
can they leave this plant alone, all this plant wants to do is live life with love and peace.
That is an excellent summary.
Basically....
More or less.
May She Rest in peace. The Voice of Muriel Strife. She passed away in 2017.
Man, Hiromi Tsuru's passing is still a great sadness...
A Legend of a Voice Actress for damn sure!
@@MousLS25 Absolutely!!!!!!!
I did not know of this. May they rip. 🙏🕊
RIP
What I love about this scene is it encapsulates all of the lessons that Vash has attained in his life. Vash has always had hope for the future of those he has protected, but he's always been too melancholy to give himself a break. Vash is too prone to punish himself for his failures, ultimately not caring if he lives or dies so long as he fulfills Rem's dream. But now at the tail end of his journey he sees the light. Vash is able to move beyond those failures, applying the lesson that making a mistake -- even one as grave as murder -- is not the end of his journey, but instead he can try to do better next time.
Vash has gone through a transformation, become a new person full of hope. His soul is full of the hope that despite the sins he has committed he can choose to live and find happiness in the future, both for himself and for others. So long as there is life left in him there is a chance to live better than he did before, and with that resolve Vash has the drive to face the day no matter what the future may bring. Going forward Vash will hold all life sacred and do his best never to kill again, as his way of repenting for that mistake -- but more importantly he WILL save Knives as Rem wanted. He has everything he needs now -- philosophically speaking -- to make that better future.
The music itself is fantastic in setting this tone of hope and repentance; it's very heroic.
Couldn't have put it better myself ;)
RustledEntity Wow. This comment perfectly describes Vash's resolution throughout the series. Thank you for that, you put in to words what I've felt for this scene as well
RustledEntity damn
Did a swell job dude ;-)
Yes he won't forget rem but will go down his own path
This scene helps me deal with life
Very nice👍
Me too my friend.
The most beautiful scene of a fallen hero who rises from his sadness and faces his Fate as a mission. Beloved Ren will be proud of him at last.
I have a weird fascination for this scene
This is my absolute favorite scene in trigun. The setting, the send off, the music, the emotion. It was damn near perfect. This is one of those shows you have to watch at least once in your life.
Trigun 1998 still the besttt!!
The music is so badass!! that tune with hint of military drum.....Triple A stuff
Prerak Sharma do you know what the track Is called?
Kitwana Hinckson I want to know too... But I think this one wasn't released.
【xGN AMVs】 I found it, it's called zero hour. I found it on a website named khinsider if I recall correctly.
I'll look for it, thanks man!
zero hour. theres a really good remix of it on youtube btw
This is heavy,
Its full of mercy.
God left the chat
The music sounds so heavenly
What I loved about the show is that this next evolution of men are two sides of extreme. One is everloving and second one is merciless and there are humans that are all in between. What this anime showed me is that you don't turn back on your family and being kind even when you have power or every right not to be.
Well said
This and Dragon Ball are the best things to ever come out of Japan IMO, Trigun's Anime is tragic in that so much of the story is left untold by the end and it gets so much better.
Vash carrying the weight of his, Wolfwood's, Knives's and humans' sins on his back as a cross as he goes to fight his demons
Thanks for posting this scene. The soundtrack title is: 'Zero Hour,' one of my favorites.
Fun fact: Vash and Hirako Shinji had the same voice actor
Milly and Nicholas are Captain too, former 2nd and 5th respectively.
Cool. A determined protagonist out to face his biggest and most personal rivalry in order to set balance with what he is fighting for or die in doing so
See thats cool. But i saw it more as a guy going out to save his brother.
I guess both interpretations can be true.
@@Getwright- both are true
Favorite scene. Moving and Epic.
Thanks for upload been looking for this scene everywhere
One of the greatest scene in the series no doubt a anime classic 😁
1:10 strange, I just realized it. Vash was looking back at Meryl then when Milly came, he appeared facing Meryl and turned away to where his body should have already been facing.
I think it's bc it looks like Meryl was going to start to speak more, so Vash turned off-camera towards her. Then Millie interjects
@@LupeJustinian Ohhh, good observation
@@LupeJustinian I wonder what was she (Meryl) going to tell him! 😭💦
@@rfh15xoxo72 dont worry they bang in the manga
This means a lot to me, in my personal journey thanks for this upload
This is so heavy, I love it.
I watch this scene everyday
I grew up with trigun when it came out on adult swim. What a masterpiece.
Music reminds me of "Irene/The Morrow" by Michael Nyman from the film "Gattaca."
damn this is such a good quality :o
Ed!
To me at 1:33, those sound like distorted gunshots, which has a heavy meaning I would guess.
My daily motivation 😁🧐
私はOSTが大好きです。完璧。
Ultimate Old Spice commercial 😁
Esse foi o melhor anime que assisti ano passado
Just watched the trailer for stampede and i just don't for the life of me understand how the changed his look so radically
It looks awful. Anime hasn't been the same since they switched to digital animation.
@@LukeMM95 but anime has always been digital. It’s just this anime was hand drawn, while the new trailer is in 3D (and admittedly, really bad looking in comparison to the original)
@@T-Law. Anime used to be traditional animation cels, painted backgrounds and photography tricks. The switch to digital colours happened in the early 2000s and by the end of the decade, everything became digital.
Damn. I can't help but think this moment would be way more emotional if Vash died in the final battle or something.
Why can't I find the English version of this scene anymore?
@Collins Ongaya They even took out the Gungrave anime score on khinsider too.

Because dubbing is as sinner's ideal.
I always think of gohan
Mystic teen gohan
Alright alright, admit! Who disliked?? 😏
I think they did it because this is the only scene that makes the episode worth it, and it is the before the final, just like evangelion, ep25 is always a letdown, congratulations vash
To die
English Dub is better
Dub was better
Yeah
@Hana Belle vash had the same VA of ichigo. The way be screams is like you can really feel it

"That's because it's so full of Mercy"
