nice notcher, should use real cutting fluid to get any useful life from bi metal bits, and possible demonstrate with a drill press or something that can do the correct drilling speeds for those, typically in the 150 to 200 rpm range for that size bit for steel on steel.
Doesn’t anyone know what or where to buy that 1” bar stock with the drill chick and hole saw attachment already on it? I have everything for my hole made notched but this shaft. I can only find standard bar stock or with other attachments pre lathed into it.
so for the cut mark.... could you put the hole saw blade 1/2 of pipe OD - 1/4" behind the cut mark for a perfect cut? you need a 10 inch long piece of 2" with a center notch.... make your cut mark half of pipe size minus quarter inch. (1" - 1/4") so 3/4 of an inch back from the end of the pipe?? which is also where you put the pipe.. 1/3 way past the hole saw, not on the center. I swear I read a formula like half pipe od - 1/4"
I was going to ask how much longer it would last turning much slower on a drill press... I have gone through 8" of steel 1/2" hole at a time with a home depot lennox 1.25" hole saw making header flanges, still plenty sharp.
do this one and your NT100 have an arber thread on the end of the stainless steel shaft to take a MT2 threaded arbor all our shop drills and drill press all take the MT2 into the mandrals, on all hand drill, mill, and drillpress, we got ride of all drill with chucks as they are usless in steel
So did you guys do a licensing deal with Eastwood? or did they steal your idea because it wasn't patented? I do see why they went from the allen bolt to a regular bolt to change degrees. Way more efficient and easy. I still don't understand why the super long shaft for the drill? I would love to know the thought process on that. I am glad I found you guys. Because of this video I found an equally or more usable tool you sell. The Portaband saw kits for the portable band saws is freaking awesome. I want one, but it doesn't look like you're supporting Harbor Freights new Bauer saw part number 63444. If you do in the future I will buy one. I like the version one just fine. Whoever thought of that is a genius. You're marketing needs a boost. I never heard of you until today, and trust me, I should have. I would recommend getting on the car guy shows like Detroit Muscle, Extreme 4X4, All Girls garage, etc. People would buy these up like crazy! Just saying. The at home fabricators need this!
have one and love it. But i really dislike the hight adjustment...well..i love it but hate it. Its a bitch to center up on a pipe. after you make your off-set notch.
Was disappointed after I bought this. Will only notch one direction which makes it not useable half the time. They need to put a slide on either side of the base or have the degree bracket go both directions to 50°.
He had his "Reading" Safety glasses on for the second half!! Really?? Workman's comp ins. is not required for owners! LOL! BTW I own a notchmaster with an arbor for each saw just to keep things moving in the shop. Cool tool!!
If a demo is worth doing, it should be worth doing correct. Come on man, square up the arbor if you say you're doing a SIMPLE 90* notch, and it would have been nice to actually get a look at your fitment.
I am sure the drill has not wobble. You tool is damaged man !!. Also you should have shown a close up, that fit appeared to be very bad besides your alignment being off.
Nice idea, but not an original one! Why do you need to use a spanner when adjusting the angle of the notch...................hmmm...........a bit more thought in the design process would go a long way.. I could knock one of these up in my garage and make a better job.
.....IMHO: IF YOU MADE ALL OF THE BASE PARTS FROM ALUMINUM, IT WOULD BE EASIER TO MOUNT IN , IN THE FIELD, ON A PARTIALLY ASSEMBLED FRAME/FUSELAGE/CAGE, AND NOTCH TUBES "IN PLACE"....
Great notcher! Picked it up last year when we picked up our model 32 hydraulic bender.
I've been using grinder all the time....but this this is awesome...thanks for the tip
Please make a video for the
RV-3 Rotary V Tube Notcher
cool tool, but where is your safety glasses

How well does it cut .035" wall 4130 Chrome Moly Steel? The teeth on the hole saw cutter is to aggressive for thin wall to me.

I wonder how many viewers understood the reference to "Lincoln Log"?

Safety glasses
@4:54 "c'mon baby" LOL!
you didn't show your work that good or how well it done I'd be better off to go get the cheap Harbor Freight pipe notch-er.
quiero un aparato de esos como puedo hacer
I see all your employees came on here to bust your balls about safety glasses.
very informative , brb after I go get the metal shavings removed from my eyes , can somebody drive me to the hospital , , , H E L L O ?

looks like it vibrates a lot :-/
I thing the chuck on the electric drill is bad, not the shaft and bearings on the Notchmaster.

You dummy, he didn't put them on for the safety factor, he needed them to read the measurement. Watch again.
I know it wasn't for safety my comment was an effort to be funny!! LOL

Who are you? His mama?

oh yhea , no entiendo un carajo
LOL this tool may work if you are doing 5 parts an hour ffs...
+Jason W Well, i don´t think it was ment for industrial production..
