I'm a 35 year old business owner/carpenter currently working in construction/building work making decent money. I'm seriously considering getting into dog walking /mobile grooming /boarding and maybe eventually basic training. 2 of my employees are on board and really enthusiastic about the move so they are coming with be as are the vehicles (kangoo vans), any advice for someone in my position looking to jump in with employees? We will all remain self employed at first to simplify the transition. We're currently working through some online courses, level 3 for boarding/daycare, first aid etc etc and looking to shadow a groomer for some experience. I personally own large dogs 70kg+ 1 is trained in bite work and very obedient and 1 which is reactive in certain situations so I understand the consequences of having a relaxed and layed back approach. My employee has a romainian rescue and an elderly uk recuse dog of 17 so I feel we have a good spread of experience.
@@danfothergill Ah. Thanks. I'm just starting my business and hadn't considered pack walks. How long does it typically take to get enough dogs from a single area? Perhaps this is something I could transition to.
Great video Dan! Very cool to see how you do it across the pond. I always have a blast making the 'day in the life' videos
Thanks bro!

I'm curious as to how you slot the dogs together and group them. Is it by location?
By location yes and each dog has a meet and greet to determine if they’d be a good fit, and which group they’d be suitable for.

What app are you using here mate?
Great video But what happened to the sign writing on your vehicles
Thanks! I took it off due to the dog stealing during covid last year, and we had a re branding.
Ok
How do you keep the dogs restrained? Are they loose?
Hello, here is an update video tour of the vehicle which shows you where the dogs sit - ua-cam.com/video/OpjoA4lu3kY/v-deo.html
Can you make 6 figures with private walks with employees ?
What is the app that you use?
