I like that you have beds, they can sit on, sleep on, if they want. I was wary of ever leaving my dog, Chester, anywhere, but left him once, (not overnight) for about 3 hours, with his girlfriend. He and I were incredibly close. I was terrified of having to go to the hospital, and when I needed surgery, found a doc who allowed me to leave. I'm even older, now, and would feel very comfortable leaving my dogs I have now, with you. If I was younger, I'd want to do this. My property is very large, with trails throughout the woods. I wonder if our grandson might want to do this, at some point.
I used to have soft beds as well but they all got chewed up. I really appreciate the comment about leaving your dogs with me. I try my best with them and their owners. Show your grandson some of these videos and ask em?
New here. Just built a small setup in a shop that was already on our property. Only holds 4 dogs, but I'm satisfied with that for now. I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew as far as cost goes. The possibility of expanding more into the existing shop is an option later. I have a question about getting business. How to you promote your business and how long did it take to get enough clients to be profitable? Thanks!
I put out Facebook ads on local garage sell sites only for about a month and some flyers at local stores. The need here was great so word of mouth traveled fast. Profitable from the first couple months.
This is such a cute kennel! I’m looking to start my own at a young age of 13 and I’m going to do obedience training with the dogs. I’m also looking to see if I can do any other training with them. I’m not big into dog hunting so I will not be doing that but I was just wondering if you do any kind of training at your kennel?
NO I do not! I am busy enough! LOL. I would not have the time to spend with each dog, too much to do on a daily basis. Good luck to you! Good to hear you are starting this young! GO FOR IT!!!!
I have 30 acres and looking to build some kennels so I can board. I currently pet sit and I am looking to expand once our home is built. I noticed you were walking the dogs. I was curious why you leash them on such a large property? I was thinking about fencing in an acre to let dogs run and play and release them in time blocks based on size and temperament. Thanks for sharing!
I am on the same journey! I thought about having multiple trackers to put on each dog when they arrive for extra safety precautions! We also have a pond so I was hoping to let the dogs go for a swim if they please and are off leash
Amazing build! Did zoning play a big part in getting your property set up for boarding facility on your property? I know some places are restrictive. Im looking to setup something similiar after i retire from the military but im not sure what type of property i should be looking at that will allow me have my residence and still operate commercially. Thoughts?
Great question. We lucked out being out side of village limits and being in a non restricted, non industrial area. Definitely a lot to consider on all that. Noise ordinances etc.
This is interesting, I live in Germany and want to do something similar. I’d love to pick your brain on some business numbers if you have the time. Thanks!

About 27k to build doing all the work ourselves no contractors. Monthly Id have to run some numbers but varies big time from month to month. New Mexico.
Ya know, I don't even know how much I am making per year lol! I used to be a truck driver and all I can say is that I have not stepped into a truck it over 3 years now, paying the bills fine and helping others for the first time ever, if that tells you anything.
I'd say number one, patience is key, no pressure on the dog, let the dog explore on their own and find out on their own that everything is going to be ok, some dogs you just can't do anything with. Do normal chores while the dog is out with you, almost ignoring the dog, almost. If the dog is not skittish towards you, try a walk. I actually dealt with anxiety myself for years and walking was the best thing, it tends to help the dogs as well. New dogs coming in you can expect some messed up stomachs and anxiousness for a day or so. It's really all about reading the dog and being incredibly patient in my opinion. Each dog is completely different. Some clients put them on pills, I honestly don't agree with this but you have to do what the client wants so..It usually never helps.
Hey man love the videos me and my wife has started a boarding business and I sent her your page for references…but my question is about the 3 green things you use to clean the kennels do you mix them together and if so what are the ratios

I leash them because there are deer, rabbits, skunks, elk, horses, bobcats, etc. I only can afford barb wire around property . It’s for thier safety.

Thanks! I have a lot of acreage here so it goes into a big hole then buried.
How much did it cost you to build the kennels compelte? Aout how much money do you take in per month? Where are you located? Thanks

Great video, brother. How is the income? I currently make around 50k per year. Would it be worth starting the same business?

@k9cabinscapitan911 wonderful. Sometimes, I fear it would not work for us, but we wanted to start a small pet business for a little while already.
What do you do if you have a highly anxious dog that won't eat or go to the bathroom much?

Thats melaluca products. Just depends on how strong I want to mix to be. It just depends on how much usage the stalls get, etc..
