I met Kim in the Wellington, NZ at the Weta Workshop tour while I was on a two week holiday - her enthusiasm was palpable! I cannot wait to start creating...
So glad you got the opportunity to meet our co-founder, she really exudes excitement after years of sculpting with highly toxic mediums, she adored using and telling every creative about our medium! X
I think I screwed up and used CRAFT ACRYLIC PAINTS and then sealed it after 28 days. Do you have any idea if the paint will stay on the sculpture? I wish I saw this video before got carried away
Hey Kat, don’t worry. Craft acrylic will do fine for a few years, say five or six depending on how much sunlight it receives. it doesn’t have the staying power of exterior grade which can last between 10 and 15 years before noticeably fading. So it’s more about light fastness as opposed to flaking issues. Your sealant may help this.
We did have a stockist in Canada however, they shut their store. We are trying to find a solution. Right now our Canadian customers are having the product shipped across the boarder and picking up from friends etc. Not ideal but a solution for now perhaps?
You forgot to mention how to achieve a bronze look! I use the products from Sculpt Neauveau. Not sure of spelling. They are a company from CA so I don’t know if you can get it where you are. They have great tutorials on their website on how to use their products. It is made for outdoor use. Very cool products....check it out ladies!
Purchase this product to cover a Mexican clay pot. It is crumbling. Should I cover original pot with leather foil. Then do layers of pal tiya? Or cal I keep the clay pot fully wet and as pay tiya dries will it bond with rough surface of the pot? At some point the pot will crumble away from the inside hoping the pal tiya will take the shape of original pot. The pot has a tall wrought iron stand making it pot spesific. Also was only going to use one coat. Or should I ad a coat on inside also which would encase original clay pot.. Any guidence would be welcome. Pauline

Always one more question. What is thinnest layer you can use and have your piece be sturdy. All new to me.

Do you know why pal
Tiya is not sold in Canada?

Any recommendations on how to cover pal tiya with mosaic tiles? Is grout needed for the finished product?
Great question - everything you need to know about Pal Tiya Premium and Mosaics is here: www.paltiya.com/mosaic.html
