I can’t lie, as brilliant as your channel is, I was really, really convinced you were going to play my Favourite Die track last; with the sample from the extremely violent for the time, banned Film: ‘Black Hole of the Sun’/‘The Mercenaries.’ The film is set during the Congo Crisis & alluded to Gay Ra*e/Sodomy; (which did take place during the crisis) as well as plenty of violence. Now, it gets even more interesting from here; many years later, Tarantino said that: ‘Black Hole of the Sun’ was one of his favourite war movies of all time & he loved the late, great star of the film: The Australian actor: Rod Taylor, who plays a British Mercenary leading a crack team of Mercenaries on an Armoured train, right into a Congolese town which is currently being torn apart by the war, in order to secretly steal £50 million worth of Diamonds from a Mine’s vault.) Tarantino loved Rod Taylor so much, that he had him play Winston Churchill in his epic: ‘Inglorious Basterds,’ in which I believe was Rod’s final role in film. The late & then extremely beautiful Erotic film/B movie star: ‘Yvette Mimieux,’ who plays a recently widowed wife of her husband, who had been butchered alive in front of her. Of course, naturally; Tarantino was also a huge fan of her acting/films, & so there is a reference to the late actress in ‘Inglorious Basterds:’ Her surname: ‘Mimieux,’ is used by the fictional, German Movie Star: ‘Shosanna Dreyfus,’ as a cover name for her involvement in helping ‘The Basterds’ to liquidate the Nazi high command. Phew, that took a while to type up! I at least hope one person will find some interest in reading about this little obscure story, that featured in my easy No.1 Bristol Track: ‘War & Peace’ by Die & SUV on the seminal London x Bristol legendary label: V Recordings; which was released in April of 97’ as part of the compilation album : ‘V Classic, Vol. 1.

Slide away" Get On Down (Delayed Mix): References to James Brown/The JBs. Vocal samples could stem from a live recording album. The main horn sample might not stem from a James Brown track, though it is somewhat similar to the intro on The JBs - Hot Pants Road. Achilles Heel: The main arabic mizmar sample (?). Short vocal-bit "Everybody.." is Louis Armstrong, I assume.
