    Thanks best explanation I’ve seen on the pin stitch using the front.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! It finally clicked!!!! I have been so afraid to use the pin stitch, afraid that it would come undone, doing it on a project with alphabets, so will have lots of practice. TKS again Lori😃

    Thanks! Even though I've seen several tutorials on this, I seldom use it - but now I may try it as your instructions were very easy to follow. Take care.

    For me ….this was a great tutorial…..loved just the focus of opening with the hoop and Aida cloth it got my attention focused immediately…..excellent for visual learners as now I know the “lay of the land” as they say……both examples were explicit with me siding with the second by a squig!…. Not so sure that is a word….but it works for me……so appreciate your sharing of the process of your work

    Thank you so much for the very clear instructions. Can this method be used to start and end in the same stitch for confetti or scattered stitches?

    • @mischievousstitches
      @mischievousstitches  9 місяців тому

      I haven’t used the ointment stitch in a full coverage piece, but I believe that it can be done as long as you aren’t starting and stopping the pin stitch in shared holes.

    I do mine like this from the back, not the front. I do my ending stitch from the bottom middle to the centre hole then from the top centre to the middle then I cut off on the back.

    • @emilykuriyama9759
      @emilykuriyama9759 9 місяців тому

      Interesting! I tried from the back and you end up in the center of the stitch on the front. Do you just double over half of one of the legs of the stitch to get to the right hole?

    • @jellybabies47
      @jellybabies47 9 місяців тому

      @@emilykuriyama9759 To start: go up through the centre, then down diagonally top right, then up bottom left and down back centre hole, carry on stitching. This is like a diagonal pin stitch over 1 Aida square.
      To end I go up through the bottom centre between the legs of a cross, then go down the centre of the square under the cross, then go up top centre between legs, then down that middle hole you made under the cross. You can also run your thread from the centre middle bottom up through your already stitched crosses on the front and snip the thread to end your thread
