I gave the lady at my local Nigerian food store the biggest smile when I, being the palest of English girls, went in and asked for Pounded Yam flour, I definitely made a new friend and found a great new store! Thank you so much for bringing these recipe techniques to everyone who loves them or like me, cant wait to try them! 😍xx

Fufu and pounded Yam are two different things. Cassava flour can be used to make fufu and Yam flour to make pounded Yam (poundo Yam as it's often called when made from flour).

Fearful, anxious thoughts melt away in the Light of My Presence. When you turn away from Me, you are vulnerable to the darkness that is always at work in the world. Don't be surprised by how easily you sin when you forget to cling to My hand. In the world, dependency is seen as immaturity. @ABI'S COOKING
I'm sorry to tell you but this is not pounded yam because you neet to bye the fresh yam cook it till its soft and put it in a wooden bucket and pound it for at least 1hour with a wooden pole and the real fufu is made of fresh cassava and is cooked til its soft and then pressed true a really fine sif and then is also pounded like the yam for at least 1 hour non stop and you need to cook the yam and the cassava on a low heat for a couple of hours because the yam and the cassava is exactly poisonous that's way you shredded first and you wash it with water til the water is clear that's the way its done in Mother Africa 💪🏽

Fufu...pounded yam...she did say however one decides to describe it and the title speaks for that as well. I don't think it's a major big deal that she called it fufu just because it's not made with cassava. Ugh. Must we be complicated? It's HER fufu version and she did a fine job. Especially for someone who may want to try this as a beginner. Thank you ABI
