That's awesome, I'm hoping to get out with them again this year and make another video. I had a great time last year.

Yeah, they were great guys. I also significantly lightened my wallet in the shop on new track system rod holders and JBI trolling rods which I needed for the new boat. Their tackle shop had a great selection. Thanks for watching.

So we recently went out with these guys and chartered the whole boat with a group of our Asian Friends. There wasn't ANY fish put back that was of legal length. We limited on Walleye, Perch, And caught and kept multiple Drum and White Perch. There wasn't any empty cooler space when he got back to the dock. And Yes, I tried the "Sheep Head" And it was actually a lot better than i thought it was going to be. Now im not going to go out and target them. But we will save them in our future trips for our friends. Just gut them and frezze them, They'll do the rest

@@Pyle81 I've never tried the white perch or drum but I would definitely try them if someone cooked or smoked them up for me. Sounds like you guys had a great trip. I just released another video on that boat from about a month ago if you're interested:

Cool video man. We recently had the mayflys here on Oneida..looked like some doomsday shit lol.

Yeah they can make a mess for sure, but they are actually a sign of good water and sediment quality. They all but died out on Erie in the 70's because of pollution, then made a serious comeback in the 90's. More walleye action to come 😁👍

Yes, the majestic Lake Erie sheephead suffers from the malign or indifference of those that fish the lake on a daily basis. I too, in my younger years as a Lake Erie charter captain, scorned their existence in a way you can only understand if you live that life. Now, I love and appreciate them for their willingness to bite and scrappy fighting ways. Thank you for watching.

@@MudSharkZ I must apologize. I didn't realize it was a sheephead. After reading your reply and watching the video again, I know that now. I can also appreciate the 'fight" of the mighty sheephead, but that's about it. I don't even want them in my boat. Never want to abuse nor disrespect any species, but hey, the gulls need to eat too, right? Liked and subbed.
