You know what would be awesome? If this movie got the “Golden Compass” treatment. Make it into a series that actually sticks to the original source material. Damn I would pay to watch that.
I would literally sell my soul for this series to get the "Golden Compass" treatment!! These books would make an awesome series if they would just give it a real chance, and actually try this time
Yes I would love to see a good portrayal of the razac, urgals, elves, dwarfs, werecats . Would love they made it so I could see islanzadi and togira ikonoka

I watched this when I was much younger, and even then the song captivated me. Now that I'm older, I actually understand the song, and I hope, I truly hope she's right...
I would have loved to have seen these books turned into a half decent movie! The movie alone is pretty good if you don't read the books but once you know the pure story line the movie fell WAY short. The soundtrack on the other hand... pure awesomeness!! I can also see this song going well with Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit
Minor mostly cuz it's Patrick Doyle . He did goblet of fire , Thor , rise of the planet of the apes. His tone was perfect for the stories the casting was perfect but a terrible director and screenwriters who just read spark notes just made the movie a Star Wars rip off
This movie was my childhood. When I was six years old I would get up early to watch it on weekends, and it never got old. Now I’m going to read the books, but they will never change my opinion of the movie because it has been a big part of my life. That movie inspired me at an early age to embrace my imagination, and even today my mind is a fantasy land. I’ll love the movie the same even after I read the books.

Not to mention the fact that, by letting Saphira do this, Eragon gave his dad the best possible last-rite ceremony without even knowing it (Saphira does not reveal this to him until Brisingr in the book series because Brom forbid her to do so). And Saphira bore the same name as Brom's own dragoness - killed by Morzan in the Battle of Doru Areaba - which makes it an even greater honor...

This song is a tear jerker ❤ and these books are SO WELL WRITTEN and some dude named Christopher just graduated high school and wrote them. Damn, I wish I were that wise!
In my opinion it doesn't matter if the book is better or the movie. Everyone sees it differently. To me even if the movie doesn't have as much as the book nothing is perfect as people would want. I take the movie for what it is and I really enjoy it.
Don't get me wrong, I love the movie but I also read the book and really the only reason they couldn't make a second film is at the end of the movie Eragon and Arya go different ways while in the book Eragon is told he must go with the elves to learn more about magic so by not being closer to the book they just ruined the possibility of a second movie
+WolfRainbowGirl what?? I absolutely love the books and hated the movie so bad, no one's allowed to mention it without me going on a rant ahaha I came for the music tho ^^
I think the cast did a great job. The filmmakers set themselves up for failure in that the movie was so different from the book that it would not have been able to even make a sequel
Exactly... The film WAS visually very good and had a high quality cast, unfortunately they made too many errors compared to how the story is in the books... Which was a real shame, as it could 100% have been a blockbuster film series :(
This song alone convinces me that in the hands of a more capable prosuction team, the Inheritance Cycle could have become an amazing series of films. Possibly even reaching similar heights as Lord of the Rings.

My two cents on book vs movie is this... As a standalone not connected to a book, the movie would have been a huge cult movie. Especially with it ending at the first book. However, it WAS based off a book, and even for book movies, it missed the mark. To be fair, Paolini was heavily influenced by LOTR so... Peter Jackson got to use all the cool ideas. Couldn't make Urgals look more like orcs etc. Not to mention how much magic is used in the series. I imagine a lot of the budget went to the SFX because of it. You have to make cuts somewhere, and I think the main plot took a hit because of it. Given another chance now that the series has actually ended, and we can do so much more with SFX on a lower budget, a reboot wouldn't be bad. However... Recasting would be a pain. Like, Jeremy Irons was perfect for Brom. John Malkovich as Galbatorix was brilliant. And let's not forget Robert Carlyle as Durza. Spot on. Getting those characters right again would be hard I think.
I wish people didn't complain about how horrible the movie was. It was a great movie if you hadn't read the books. It was well made and had great effects, casting, and soundtrack. All in all, the only bad thing was that they didn't follow the book's plot properly.
