    I knw I've said it before, that opening sequence and tune are brilliant!
    I sometimes watch it just to put a smile on my face.

      Thank you Geoff. I need to replace the stick man steering the boat with an actual picture of me. So far the light has been wrong and prevents me from getting a good photo of me waving...

    I'm enjoying the detail that you include in your vlogs, simple things like the high concrete moorings are overlooked by may others - enjoying your journey and looking forward to many more.

    Unfair. Here in sweden it was gray, cold and snow in the air as well as on the ground.
    As usual in January February.

    Great to see you back on the move again....I had no idea you had such a gift for playing the guitar...that was gorgeous. You should do some playing in some of the canal side pubs...you’d make a fortune..🍷🍷

    Hi Phil, You're right to say that people need to make their own mind up about where they moor, but as it happens, we did moor up along the stretch you covered from about 7:50 to 9:40 minutes in Banbury because we had to break a journey and go to a funeral and as the train station was so close there, it seemed ideal. We only left the boat there for about 36 hours, but all was well. I think sometimes people get a bit paranoid about leaving boats in towns/cities. You obviously always need to be mindful about where you leave your boat, but I'm sure the good experiences outweigh the bad by some considerable amount.

      It's usually ok there but I once spent a single night near the centre of Banbury and was woken at 1:30 AM by the sound of smashing glass. The neighbours boat had had its window kicked in and its ropes cut. So I am very wary about mooring in towns.

    So the real journey has begun now you have passed the winding hole. I had assumed that the cats were locked inside while you were cruising but obviously not as Midge came through the cat flap.

    • @NarrowboatJourneys
      @NarrowboatJourneys  5 років тому +1

      The cats are always locked inside whilst moving. Midge came in through the catflap whilst I was recording the commentary at the editing stage - several days after the trip.

    Who says its always gray and rainy in England!? Looks like you got some of that golden hour daylight, very nice. The trip seems to be a good decision -- keep the engine happy. Enjoyed the guitar music at 1:36, is that you? More. Cheers.

    Most of the other narrowboat Vloggers say the same thing about Banbury and a few other towns too.

    Great video . At the winding hole/Tramways section . Do those CRT moorings have all the facilities such as water, pump outs, etc? .

    • @NarrowboatJourneys
      @NarrowboatJourneys  5 років тому +2

      No, they have to cruise to the boaters facilities in Banbury.
