Hi Phil, that was such a scenic vlog, and the birdsong was amazing! Boots sat on my lap staring at me intently all the way through it, then when the music started, once again he sat up and watched it! 😂

Thank you. It is peaceful along there but in the early 90s there was an American airbase at Upper Heyford and the fighter jets would take off and fly right overhead. The noise was incredible and would happen suddenly without warning.

Lovely video, I would also be very mindful to the needs of my cats. Dogs can be a great problem to them once they’re away from the boat. Thank you also for considering the swan! I don’t think the people feeding him were aware that they could be putting him danger

I noticed in this video that along most of the stretch you travelled today the towpath had total disappeared with farmer almost ploughing up to the canal bank😢!
Perhaps the not so positive commentaters might try to do a vido themselves to see the time, effort and creativity required. I have done many over the years and it can be tedious, frustrating YET also rewarding. A video from you from any time of a year is alway a treat.
My videos are free to watch, or not, it's entirely up to you. The recording process is quick but each one takes several days to edit and upload, and I have other things to do as well. Given the amount of cruises I do, sometimes daily, a considerable backlog is inevitable. ;-)
Also i find it really interesting to go back in time and see where it all began for you. You’ve been on the water a long time, and the ease in which you handle your boat is so peaceful to me. You’re an excellent narrator and I’m so glad to have found your channel!

Thank you. Swans and ducks are particularly at risk if they try to go into a lock with the boat.
