it amuses me that a lot of you boaters are so pernickety about where you moor for the night. I worked as a long distance van driver (no tachograph restrictions) and learnt to sleep soundly (sitting up leaning against the locked door without relaxing my grip on my phone) wherever I could feel safe which was sometimes in noisy busy places.
Hi Johnny great video yes the lift bridge was a little low ,the water shooting up from the paddles would make you jump if you was turning the windlass lol and get bloody wet and cold hehe ,love watching you vids you are so laid back not getting excited over anything,you take care keep safe keep warm till next time,John 🍺🍺🐕🔥🌨🥶
A couple seconds later I'd have got a good soaking which would have made for good footage but it was so bitterly cold I'm glad it didn't get me. I had my share of cold water with that wellington boot incident the other week.

I wish I'd done those holes a bit bigger - just a tad slow to drain especially if bits of leaves etc in there. It's gonna be ages till cruising proper... the crt website thinks 12th April :( In time for the hire season anyway.

The stove fan, yes. It is supposed to distribute the warm air around the boat more efficiently. Works on some kind of electricity generated from heat type effect.

That swing bridge was playing up when I went through it last year and was a pain to raise. Those houses went up quick.

They are pretty low on the side the bridge opens to - luckily the highest points on the boat are in the middle.

If it’s choice between building or industrial I would always go for building as they tend to go quite a night whereas industrial can be 24hr

Those bridges are mainly agricultural - for the farmer to get his tractor across etc.
