Hi Phil, we are bringing our new narrowboat slowly down the Oxford now, bound for the K&A and are using your VLOGs as a guide. Really useful information, great music and helpful narration. We love your videos (and the cats!). Love from Jan & Mike (@NARROWBEAM DAYDREAM)
I'd feel very nervous mooring in the centre of Banbury as many of the boats are at the visitor moorings section. Perhaps thats just my years of living in rough areas in Scotland 😂. It sadly conditions you to be cautious of crime .
Enjoying these vlogs Phil. Do you have to get the cats back inside the boat when you go shopping? I suppose they wander off and go exploring, and know not to go too far away
Thank you. Provided that my boat is moored in a safe place (and I always try to do that) the cats can come and go as they please. If I have to stop in a town or somewhere not so good, they are shut in. The cat flaps are also locked when I am moving the boat.
Love the vlog Phil....so many happy memories....although we hadn’t had the benefit of your sage advice and dented our chimney on the Banbury lift bridge when we went through last September..🍷🍷
I lived in Banbury back in the 1980s. I loved walking near this Canal by Lower Haford et al.
I do remember it was quite narrow Banbury canal, but that was till I left in 1992!
I would be worried that bridge would come down on the boat lol
They have been known to fall down! Not that one though.

A thumbs up from me, nice vid

Good to see my boat moored in the arm Phil,,,
Am I the only one who waves back at the end of the video?
I miss the dance intro.........................
Great, I'm really enjoying following your adventure. Hope you aren't being battered by the weather at the moment. Stay safe :-)
It's too windy to move right now but I have found a sheltered spot to ride the bad weather out. Hopeless for solar power here though!
Enjoyable as ever
Another lovely vlog. Thank you
thankyou you put a smile on my morning thanks andrew
Thanks for another great video 🙂

Good to see the cruise is going well Phil. Let's hope the weather keeps fine for you!
Splendid :)
Beautiful music Phil
That's me up to date with your journey. Lots of useful information for anyone cruising through Banbury there Phil.
Great vlog thanks..
Liked the music at the mid point. Different to the usual?
Thank you. That was "Delicia", I've used that track many times. ;-)
I enjoy your videos and music too! What kind of Cats are those? I'm a new subscriber from Florida, USA
I think in the UK we call them moggies, hybrids of scattered parentage, its wot cats do..........
Yep, they're moggies.
What I don't like are boats with vegetable gardens, storage boxes, bicycles and assorted junk stacked on the roof.
It reflects the variety of people
