  • We bought a new/used 2017 Jetta Mk 6.5 Jetta GLI and need to repair an oil leak and assess the overall condition. I also decide to service the DSG transmission because we don't know the service history.
Here are some links that might help.
    DSG Service kit:
    amzn.to/49KXIN0
    24 mm socket:
    amzn.to/3T56Y7s
    14 mm hex bit:
    amzn.to/3Tub36A
    Fluid pump:
    amzn.to/4a1kWhs
    8 mm hex bit:
    amzn.to/3T573bg
The timing chain cover parts were purchased from ECS Tuning. Check their website for parts availability and fitment. I have no affiliation.
As an Amazon Affiliate I receive a small commission if you purchase parts using these links. There is no cost to you.
    Thanks for watching!

I don't own one of those but I like your videos! VW used to be a reliable car. I had a 68 Beetle and a book on it said if anything was tighter than hand tight, someone messed with it that didn't know how to work on it. That being a college kids car, I think I would find a battery cover, someone sitting on that hood could maybe short the terminals? Nice work though. 👍✌️

I am pretty sure she would not allow anyone to do that, but I will probably try to find a battery cover just on general principle. Thanks for watching!

Another nice job Bryan. Thank you! Just curious; I think you said you bought the car with 93,000 mi.. It look's to have a timing chain. At what mileage will you address timing chain replacement? Have a great day!!! Cheers!!! Illinois

I am not sure the timing chain lifespan on these cars, I doubt that there is a recommended replacement interval. I sort of miss timing belts, which used to be the norm, at least if I have to replace it should be fairly easy. Thanks for watching!
