Hey Scoub it's Victor, I just want to revisit this all Cup speedrun of yours because, while you were amazing even in the Special Cup, it was the fact that you didn't release a separate video to the Star cup, mainly because I want to compare your run on the Star Cup with KvD who currently holds the record of the Solo Star Cup run of the NTSC version of this game. So I got two questions. 1. Will you give this Star cup run it's own video like you did with the other cups? 2. Will you ever make another run on the Star Cup on the NTSC version of this game?
Hello Victor, i’m glad you enjoy my videos. :) As for your questions, the Star Cup from this All Cups video is my current best, so that’s why I don’t have an individual video, I didn’t bother splitting it into its own video. Also I don’t know yet if I’ll go for that record. Maybe at some point. ;)
Average margin of victory--20.68 seconds Largest victory--34.13 seconds (Bowser Castle 1) Smallest victory--6.16 seconds (Donut Plains 3) Generally, if the screen turns to black prior to CPU finishing lap 5, the CPU will automatically lose by 18 seconds (give or take). If the screen turns to black before the CPU completes lap 4, the CPU will automatically lose by 34 seconds (give or take).
Wow, excellent driving! back in the day on original snes did regular hop-skidding, didnt know about boosting then....how do you do those straight-line driving boosting quick shoulder turning shifts without skidding off road eg. 0:46 ??? When I try these I get too much lateral movement and go off road-
How come restarting the game to skip the award screen is not allowed in a Super Mario Kart speedrun yet it's allowed in a Mario Kart 64 speedrun? That makes no sense. Let me know in the comments.

Something is up here. He is going faster than the other karts and that aint how this game works. it is almost like he is in 150cc and the other drivers are in 50cc. IDK what is going on but something here is not legit.
Speed works a little differently in this game. Your character's speed increases when you collect coins (it maxes out at 10). And you can pretty far ahead if you can keep your speed up without going offroad too much. This game also has a rival system. All the AI racers are programmed to drive at a certain speed, and they change depending on what character you pick. this why you see DK Jr., Koopa Troopa, and Toad way in the back. Also, the runner is abusing an exploit with the mini turbos, when you let off the gas around the time the boost starts, it last a little bit longer and you can drive over off road terrain with little to no slow down.

I will grant you, 20 years of drinking may have skewed my memory, and the last thing you are speaking on, the other sht i know...but the boost exploiting mini turbo boosts, that may be the factor that is contributing to what I am seeing here. ill have to look into the specifics of it, but that probably is what is causing the main difference from what i'm remember, that and pickling my brain in vodka. IDK, the speed this fker is getting and how far ahead he is getting, I don't remember that sht being the case at all. Ive been wrong before, probably wrong here. That's an exploit. When you get a miniturbo, letting off the gas (around the moment the boost starts) allows you to drive off road without slowing down. There is a similar exploit with the boost from mushrooms and boost panels, but it's activated a little bit differently. When you get the boost, you hop and bump into a wall at the same time, you let off the gas and move away from the wall, the boost will last longer than normal.
Alternative title: Getting Bowser drunk as fast as possible
