One thing I never see people talk about with the characters is that Toad/Koopa can often take corners at full speed without needing to drift, and without spinning out. If you let go of the accelerator right before the start of the turn, then begin turning, and then hold the acceleration, they'll power through the turn at full speed without sliding/spinning/drifting. Combined with their tighter turning radius, you're often able to hug the inside corners of the track and end up finishing corners faster (overall) than other characters who drift through the corners on a wider angle. With this you can pretty easily take 1st place in every 150cc course even though their top speed isn't great.
This poster knows what’s up! As a long term Toad user I agree that Toad/Koopa tight corners and understanding of the kart is a great way to beat out 150cc. To this day I still use Toad and in most cases knock out almost everyone I play. Yes every race is different and there are people out there that can beat me (not full of myself here) but long days and time trial racing on the original Mario kart setup my future lol. My family hates this version of Mario kart… they don’t understand why I love this hard for most game. Lol
I always play Koopa, I never really do this though, I always powers like but a few times I found out that if you can hold the gas down the whole time, never letting go and powersliding through the corners, if you never bump into anything eventually your kart will go into overdrive and speed up and it sounds different, it's like a boosted top speed... I could only ever pull it off in browsers castle though...

Koopa Troopa and Toad are a lot better than you give them credit for. Having tight controls means you're not sliding all over the place like and can stay on the inside line and hit the zippers. Another thing they are great for is being able to drop items with precision. The computer players always follow the same path so you can strategically drop shells and banana peels to make them fall off the tracks and really set them back.

@Lykaios Oh I've played it but only got up to like 50 jumps in a row thing. I remember trading in my copy of Star Fox 64 for a copy of that title in 2000. I remember playing this game on the SNES and only discovered a few of the shortcuts and tricks discussed in this video. I was surprised to learn of how many more there are! I did come up with a strategy when playing the computer gives you some breathing room. When you come in first place in each race, you'll notice that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place cars are the same for each race. After the first race of each circuit you'll discover who that is so you strategically take him out in one of he later races. For example, in the 5th lap I get a red shell or star man, I would take out that racer near the finish line which means he would not even place. So this racer does not end up getting the 6 points for coming 2nd. So now that gives you an even bigger point lead at whoever is now the new #2. So in the later races in the circuit, if you come in 2nd or 3rd, you'll still have a good chance of winning the trophy for the entire circuit.
Toad and Koopa Troopa are phenomenal on 150cc if you know what you are doing. With their tight controls, as long as you stay on course and don’t bump into any opponents, their speeds can be absolutely amazing. On Mushroom Cup in 150cc, I just clean house with those two along with the other cups.
The guide omitted the very useful counter-steering technique. This one can help you regain traction much faster after drifting, especially with the worse handling characters on slippery surfaces. This technique works by briefly drifting the opposite way of the preceding drift line, so you can attenuate the kart's momentum much faster. Then, release the powerslide button once you reached the desired momentum. The same can be done without drifting, although its effect is lessened. Master this, and you might never need to let go of the acceleration button outside of certain shortcuts. This is vital along with using DK Jr. and Bowser for achieving world records in Time Trials. It also helps you a lot on winning against CPU racers, especially since you'll be more easily staying on track and end up being far ahead of the pack.
Some corrections, thoughts, additions/ things you missed: 1. How is the 180 boost/ sigzag boost not mentioned *(was briefly mentioned at the very end)*. It's literally one of the most important things in racing. It gives you speed and can be used with the correct timing to drive through dirt. 2. Toad and Koopa are not best for battle mode. Watch the world championships. They are decent choices for noobs. There are many nuances behind the choice in battle mode raging from speed to cycle through items and velocities to dodge red shells. There's a lot of battle mode tricks. 3. The star is not a ?most powerful item" at top tier play. You want mushrooms and feathers. 4. The window for the start boosts changes with certain courses and on different cc modes. Thought this should be pointed out. 5.DP1 nice wall jump, it's usually preformed at the earlier water patch. 6. GV1 I thought the long mushroom jump (the biggest legal ship) should have been mentioned. It's really hard to do. 7. BC1 has another feather skip crossing the bottom of the track. 8. CI1 there is a better feather spot to jump to the finish line. 9. GV2 you missed the legal finish line feather skip. 10. DP2 you don't need to bump the wall for the final mushroom trick you listed. 11. BC 2 you forgot to mention the feather jump across to the finish line over the lava. 12. MC3 you didn't mention the super zipper boost or the associated infinite long boost possible with middle weight classes. 13. KB1 How can you not mention the water slide technique to keep speed while driving through water? 14. VL1 You can power slide through snow without loosing speed by releasing the gas. 15. GV3 The platform jump is easily made without a feather, and the super zipper boost wasn't mentioned. 16. RR there's a few epic skips here with mushrooms hitting ramps. Also the legal feather finish wasn't mentioned. Overall great video.
Ha! There is always something new to learn when you watch this channel. I own about 65% of the games you've covered, so this channel is a great resource.
This was the second SNES game I got, all the kids in my family loved it, but only played it for a few months. I was the one who played it long term, unlocking things like the Special Cup and the 150 class.
@@rezterralico4369 I’ve seen so many kids today who completely disregard retro games. It’s been my method to introduce my children to the older games first for a few years before introducing them to more modern things
@Zalden 256 Yup done right. I remember my younger brother getting my Niece an NES classic and a SNES classic. I remember the christmas see got the NES classic my brother told me about getting her that gift so I went out to a computer supply store and got a 50 foot HDMI cable just so that when she opened thst gift at my folks house that the cord would reach the NES classic on the coffee table. The NES classic had short cords and I think my brother didn't know about the 3rd party bestbuy cord extenders as did I not knowing about those until I decided to get some for when I got the SNES later on when that came out. She's 12 now and she's still into PS3 and playing a 3DS. I think the first game she beat was Para the rapper 2 on the PS2.
As the discoverer of several shortcuts back in the 90s, here are a few to add: 1. In CI1 (Choco Island 1) you can feather jump to the right of the finish line to skip a lap, similar to ones you've shown. 2. KB1 (Koopa Beach 1) showcases one of my more infamous water tricks. At the beginning you can actually drive into the water to the left, but be sure to cross over the finish line backward while out not terribly far away. No items are needed, and you can skip laps this way. Yoshi and Princess are the best choices if you wish to skip laps multiple times, while Bowser and DK Jr. are ideal if you only wish to skip the final lap. 3. KB2 has a lap skip if you drive rather far out and deep into the water to the right of the finish line and hook back before Lakitu grabs you. A well timed feather or mushroom at top speed will give you the needed distance to pull this tricky one off. 4. VL2 also showcases a shortcut similar to the KB1 lap skip but you'll need to drive into the water to the left of the finish line and turn back. No items are needed, but they do make it easier. For similar reasons, certain drivers are more ideal for skipping laps multiple times, while others are ideal when you only want to skip near the end. Enjoy!
In order for Nintendo to pull off the 2-player capability, the devs loaded each cartridge of Mario Kart with hardware chips to add extra power so that the game could handle it. Two years later, Street Racer was released. This game allowed for 4-player simultaneous play without the chips. It was an incredible experiment for its time.
There are so many great touches in this game, like the faces the racers make depending on their direction, or the little "deedly-deedly" noise an opponent makes while invincible.
35:22 It took me an hour to get it right (thank you Switch rewind) so for the numbnuts like me who still struggle to do the water hop, the key is to let go of R once and press it again. My mistake was to think I was supposed to keep R pressed since the original slide. The proper motion is: B+R → A → R[keep pressed] (※works with R or L of course)
Thank you internet dog :) Still holding out for that River City Ransom episode! Another fun game would be Kabuki: Quantum Fighter, a lesser known good sidescroller.
I still need to play through that game on the switch. Also I need to continue my play through of Crystalis. I got to about the midway to 2/3rds of the way point in that title. I was stuck at a mind reading part for a while. Trying to beat it without a guide. I mean it has to be better than playing Castlevania II back on the NES with no guide.
@@johngavalas712 Its not a perfect game. The jumping is a little floaty, your projectiles dont go far enough, and the enemy sprites are recycled. But other than that.... its a solid platformer. "If you remember Larry" Well, he always WAS the neighborhood clown... ;) Sadly, Super Mario Kart is a game I still haven't beaten to this day, and I lost at the very last possible moment on Rainbow Road. That said, the original SMK is still a very fun game and I like to play it from time to time.
If you got to play mario kart DS then played some mario kart N64 you will see how sloppy the controls are on the N64 title. I think the multiplayer aspect clouded our minds back then. I didn't even realize that the turbo boost mini was first used in the N64 game. If you read up on the IGN N64 mario kart review the 6 out of 10 I believe was given to the game due to the sloppy controls. I owned mario kart for the N64 in 1998 when it costed 300 CAD just for the N64 system. Man in the mid 90s it was great for our collage funds since it was in US mutual funds but man did it suck donkey with the conversion ratio in the mid 90s. In 1998 just as I had saved up the money for the N64 I got a flyer route that paid about 35 to 45 dollars CAD a month and man it was 80 CAD for OOT.
I gotta say, there's no shortage of love for the channel and the games you cover. And boy do they inspire nostalgia. But given that my grandparents (who whom are gone) and my mother rented or bought me most of these games growing up, they hit me with a different kind of nostalgia, because most of the games (that you've covered) are tied to the memories of them. And those feelings (both sad and happy) are absolutely humanizing in an otherwise cold and uncaring world.
One of my favorite game's!! Did have the record in Nintendo power for the fastest time lap for first level with Donkey Kong, yeah that last for about a week... lol 😂
Man, this was unexpected in a great way. So many secrets! I knew like one of these but forgot it! Top 5 playable, top 5 mode 7, and top 5 quintessential snes graphics games.
My first game I bought with my own money £44.99 from Woolworths got on a bus home as soon as I see my SNES I realised I gag left it on the bus My grandad took me straight back down there and bought me a new copy Thanks grandad And thanks for the sweet work you do looking forward to watching this
Sadly I never got a SNES until my 17th birthday (1995), but I got this game later down the road. Then sold it, then found another copy a few years ago, also got rid of Super Mario World, and Mario All-Stars (But then found the Mario World + All-Stars cart at the same time as Mario Kart)! I had Mario Kart for the Wii, that was a blast. Well this should be interesting, thanks!
I remember my brothers playing this Mario Kart. I got hooked on Mario Kart 64, but my all time favorite is Mario Kart DD. I never knew that so many stages from the 64 version came from the SNES.
I had this game when it was new. 10 minutes into the video and I am already shocked how much I did not know about this game. Thank you for all of this awesome information.
If you counterhop after each slide, you can right your steering and avoid swinging off the edge of the track all the time (or spinning out if you slide too long). This is especially devastating if you're Bowser or DK, as you can really get the most out of their insane top speed. I had something like a 47 second lap in Mario Circuit 1 because it was just so effortless to glide down the track.
This is a fantastic episode; this is the only Mario Kart game prior to the Gamecube that I never played. Sucks about some of the things going on in the Kart Racer genre lately (looking at you CTR:NF and Chocobo GP, and the mobile Mario Kart game), they could really stand to look back at their roots. Also, wow Mance has grown up so much. He's as big as Kylo now!
Great video! Super Mario Kart always holds a special place in my heart for practically inventing the Kart racing genre, and although I understand why you didn't cover it because of the single-player nature of these videos, the Battle Mode on the 4 Battle Courses is also an absolute blast :)
Mister Metokur cited your channel as one of his favourite in his goodbye stream, I'm checking out of curiosity, and damn, this is quality content. Keep the great content ❤️
It's also funny when he goes all modern gamers that attempt this game will still have to deal with all of the challenges that the SNES is notorious for 🤣
Finally!! Oh man, what a classic! I had so much fun playing this game and trying to beat the best times in every race! Great call! Request for next game: Mickey Mousecapades! Thanks for the great content!
Some other commenters probably pointed this out already, but Mode 7 and sprite scaling are separate functions. Sprite scaling is exactly what it sounds like, hardware acceleration for scaling sprites. Mode 7 does involve scaling, but on the background layer.
Awww man, the memories! I remember I used to leave green shells or banana peels right next to the gaps in the haunted roads or right in front of lava so whoever spun out behind me had to get picked up by Lakitu. I was a menace with those things, haha! I saw tricks I didn’t know about and it was neat! 😊
I remember getting this game about a couple years after it came out, and I still own it, and still play it to this day! As a kid I was mostly a Princess main, but nowadays DK Jr. is my main.
Aw, you missed my brother's and mine favorite shortcut. In Rainbow Road, you can use a mushroom before the ramp in front of the gap and jump to close to the goal line.
One move I do is that if you really need a first place finish and are clearly going to lose, just come in 5th or later and redo the course. Better than taking less points.
I played this game tons when I was younger and I hardly knew about any of these tricks. Yoshi was always my go to racer, I also beat this game on 150cc but it was hard as hell to do. Awesome job.
Funny how it was similar to when I saved up all my birthday money, christmas money and 5 dollars allowance every 2 weeks to get an N64 for 300 CAD when I was 13. Was saving up for 2 years and was seeing a snes with donkey kong country bundle and was like do I want that (in 1996 not knowing about the ultra 64 since I had no magazine subscription to any gaming magazine back then or no word of mouth from classmates). I saved up the 300 CAD and I think my pops saw the effort I put in to save that dough and he got the N64 at Costco but the costco bundle sealed in radio frequency plastic had the console, an extra controller, Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64. My younger brother thought that the N64 was half his and I was like no way. The physical console was all mine. He could take claim to owning half the games and the extra controller if he wanted but damn no that system was my gaming system. I got a flyer route job like 2 weeks after getting the system that paid about 35 to 45 dollars a month (depended on how many flyers they ran for the month) and I spent 2.5 to 3 hours on a weekend sorting all the dumb stacks of flyers together and delivering it with a wooden radio flyer wagon with the red paint. I think it took 3 trips with that wagon to deliver those flyers. I'm still thankful for my pops and ma for me not getting a Snes or Genesis like most of the other kids on the block since it taught me how to save up for stuff and to appreciate the value of a dollar. l still to this day do online surveys like on the prolific website for an average of 12 dollars CAD net an hour to save for my entertainment slush fund. All my other money has to go towards investments, house repairs and the mortgage principle payments. I think 85 to 90 percent of my gaming needs are paid form doing the online surveys since 2015. The focus groups back then were fund and paid decent. The prolific ones are more psychological surveys at times and half the time some even play like a video game. Those other surveys about oh what crackers are good for consumer products were mind numbing. Mainly do then while watching videos or streaming.
Bowzer became my go-to character a few years ago, after years of always choosing Toad! I feel like Bowzer's heft is an advantage, and as long as you can stay in the lead, you're golden. However, if you crash out and end up toward the back of the pack, it's hard to regain the lead. Of course, the easy answer to that problem is, don't crash!
Wrath of the Black Manta is very nostalgic for me when I was a kid. Never got too far and haven’t gone back to it in a while. But I’m really thinking about it soon. Maybe one day you’ll get to that one.
I have fond memories playing this game during the 1990s with my dad. As much as we both enjoyed the racing, the best mode of this game was, by far, Battle Mode. We often spent hours playing Battle Mode, great memories.
it took me a while to learn but one of the lessons in this game is, "how do you beat rainbow road without falling off the edge." I remember being asked that right away, when I was getting better in the grand prix when no one was there, but they come back and find out
I never knew those lap skips existed. I knew the basic mushroom and feather tactics, but the power drifting boost is new to me. I thought I was a Mario Kart master. I am humbled. And for the record, Toad and Yoshi were my characters.
There is also another hidden yellow jump bar next too the wall in the grassy area right after the finish line, and before the ? Blocks. You can see it plain as day when at the lap skip part of the video. If you have a feather keep it for the entire lap. Then power slide hard as crossing the finish line. Basically U turn. Head toward the blue part of the wall. Use the feather hit the jump and wall to get a power jump boost. Hold left and you will be able to cut practically the entire course. Similar to the Lakitu trick on other courses. Instead of Lakitu it’s all skill using the hidden jump bar, and wall to super jump boost in a circle.
There is a hidden jump bar on Mario Circuit 2. It is in the grass next to the wall to the left of the pipes after the main jump. If you angle yourself to the left of the pipes. You can hit it and if you press jump can bounce off the wall for a turbo boost. You should land from the jump right around the finish line. If you use a mushroom when you hit this hidden jump bar it’ll launch you insanely far. I’ve actually landed at the ? blocks before. Usually land close to the pipes before the ? blocks.
One thing I’d love to see is more mistakes and mistake recovery. You mentioned hitting right and left to getting a mole of your face. I’m curious how that looks, as I’ve always just repeatedly mashed the jump button to get it off quickly, vs letting it time out and eventually let go of it’s own accord.
Excellent video! Loved the trip down memory lane! There's also the trick with the mushroom and yellow jump tiles that I didn't see in the video. You can skip large portions of Ghost Valley 1 and Rainbow Road (and probably others I'm not remembering at the moment) if you time it correctly.
One thing I never see people talk about with the characters is that Toad/Koopa can often take corners at full speed without needing to drift, and without spinning out.

Glad to see you doing SNES games again. Seems like it's been a while.
Well, i know what im doing when i get home now.
These guides are fantastic
Been playing this since I was a kid, and still managed to learn lots of new stuff. Very informative & fun video!
I play this often with my daughter. She loves it. She’s 6 and just recently got gold on mushroom cup. She was so excited!
Starting her on the classics. Nice.
@@rezterralico4369 that’s a great memory. And that’s what it’s all about
As the discoverer of several shortcuts back in the 90s, here are a few to add:
Wasn’t expecting this type of game, thank you for the walk down memory lane.
Can’t say this enough. Best channel on UA-cam 🤷🏻♂️
The proper motion is:
B+R → A → R[keep pressed]
(※works with R or L of course)
I also thought u had to keep hold of r but u loose alot of speed doing that
Thank you internet dog :)
Still holding out for that River City Ransom episode! Another fun game would be Kabuki: Quantum Fighter, a lesser known good sidescroller.
Ahhh Kabuki: Quantum Fighter headbanging your way through enemies lol
I still need to play through that game on the switch. Also I need to continue my play through of Crystalis. I got to about the midway to 2/3rds of the way point in that title. I was stuck at a mind reading part for a while. Trying to beat it without a guide. I mean it has to be better than playing Castlevania II back on the NES with no guide.
@@johngavalas712 Its not a perfect game. The jumping is a little floaty, your projectiles dont go far enough, and the enemy sprites are recycled. But other than that.... its a solid platformer. I was surprised how much fun I had with it! Hardly anyone knows of it either. It is for sure worth checking out though!
@@rezterralico4369 I could never get into Crystalis for whatever reason, I pounded through Dragon Warrior 1 through 4 though :D
@@ChairmanMeow1 Beat dragon quest 1 to 3 on the GBC. I still need to play DQ 4 to 8. Own them just need to get around to completing DQ6 on the DS. Have a a sealed copy for the DS of DQ5 so hoping to have it released on something else. Man I want to play the NES version of DQ2 for the difficulty. I beat DQ11 with shypox and the disabilities no items and such at launch the list at launch. Seeds helped put in that run and the casino for early weapons as a loop hole for no items.
You think you've already seen it all.
Fantastic research and great work nailing the execution of the tougher tricks!
"If you remember Larry" Well, he always WAS the neighborhood clown... ;)
Sadly, Super Mario Kart is a game I still haven't beaten to this day, and I lost at the very last possible moment on Rainbow Road. That said, the original SMK is still a very fun game and I like to play it from time to time.
I remember that when I went to see my cousin and his family back in the 90's, we would always race in Super Mario Kart. Good times :)
I realy enjoy all your playthroughs! Never had much time with the first Mario Kart, but the 64 version was my jam for a long while
If you got to play mario kart DS then played some mario kart N64 you will see how sloppy the controls are on the N64 title. Man in the mid 90s it was great
for our collage funds since it was in US mutual funds but man did it suck donkey with the conversion ratio in the mid 90s. In 1998 just as I had saved up the money for the N64 I got a flyer route that paid about 35 to 45 dollars CAD a month and man it was 80 CAD for OOT.
Wow! I learned a lot of things in today's episode. You knocked it out of the park!
Yea, use this trash in a glitchless run, become a laughing stock....baka
That was unnecessary
I came to learn two things, I could never figure out and still don't know it.....
I’ve been playing this since I got it for Christmas in ‘92 and I still didn’t know about all of these things; nicely done 👍
The international ending for princess is funny 😁
One of my favorite game's!! Did have the record in Nintendo power for the fastest time lap for first level with Donkey Kong, yeah that last for about a week... lol 😂
Man, this was unexpected in a great way. So many secrets! I knew like one of these but forgot it! Top 5 playable, top 5 mode 7, and top 5 quintessential snes graphics games.
I really love the Mario Kart series, my favorite being Double Dash on the GC. This was truly a humble but good start for the series
My first game I bought with my own money
£44.99 from Woolworths got on a bus home as soon as I see my SNES I realised I gag left it on the bus
My grandad took me straight back down there and bought me a new copy
Thanks grandad
And thanks for the sweet work you do looking forward to watching this
You would have been DEVASTATED
Awesome. I never knew that such tricks like a longer boost were possible.
This was the first game I ever starred in 🐢
W green koppa.
Your channel just keeps getting better. Loved this episode!
Thanks for spending the time to get the footage! Great game to review!
Thank you!!
Even so, the CPU is god awful.
Do you mean a 47 second race on Mario Circuit 1 because a 47 second lap is really, really slow. I can get sub 10 second laps pretty easily
I love the Mario 2 track when you drop your item before the jump and EVERYONE jumps it and doesnt complete the lap
30:48 Peach is chugging that champagne like Ayla chugs skull-smash.
This was an EXCELLENT low-key summary Super Mario Kart experience (and things even I didn't know about shortcuts and things). Awesome video!
Mance will almost surely be bigger than Kylo when he's fully grown. He can also jump really high!
I love it that you tell us a bit about the people who made the games. The backstory is almost as interesting as the gameplay itself.
Great video! Super Mario Kart always holds a special place in my heart for practically inventing the Kart racing genre, and although I understand why you didn't cover it because of the single-player nature of these videos, the Battle Mode on the 4 Battle Courses is also an absolute blast :)
Yeah, Battle Mode was a sweet addition that they strictly didn't need to put in there, but I'm happy they did!
Haha, I feel so old. I remember playing this so much with my brothers and friends when I was a little kid.
Same. I’m 40
Mister Metokur cited your channel as one of his favourite in his goodbye stream, I'm checking out of curiosity, and damn, this is quality content.
Keep the great content ❤️
I'm glad you show these games in their original resolution. The zoomed in widescreen version at the beginning makes my eyes go funny 😕
Absolutely love when you cover SNES games!
Mode 7 does involve scaling, but on the background layer.
youre one of my favorite content creators on youtube bro. thx for your videos.
Is this a trip down memory lane or what? Great intros, great videos! Thank you :)
That Guy. It's a Legend.
I'm 44 years young. I play this game from Day 1. I learned soooooo much things.
Legend...
That thumbnail with the Pups is level over 9000 adorable!
I love your videos, man. Great channel
I love how it you don't place high enough to complete the race, Lakitu still flies by with a huge joyful smile to wave the chequered flag at you.
I remember getting this game about a couple years after it came out, and I still own it, and still play it to this day! As a kid I was mostly a Princess main, but nowadays DK Jr. is my main.
Wow you're incredible !!! I love it !!! Will you make a Soul Blazer ultimate guide some day ? This is one of my favorite game :D
Soul Blazer is so good
Aw, you missed my brother's and mine favorite shortcut. In Rainbow Road, you can use a mushroom before the ramp in front of the gap and jump to close to the goal line.
My whole life I thought Bowser/DKJr had the worst handling and it turns out it was yoshi, the one I always used. Damn.
Sick choice to start off 2023! Lots of great memories with this one as a kid
Still have my original game with box. I still remember paying $45 for as a kid.
I remember when I got my super nintendo it came with super mario world and super mario kart one of the best days of my life
Funny how it was similar to when I saved up all my birthday money, christmas money and 5 dollars allowance every 2 weeks to get an N64 for 300 CAD when I was 13. All my other money has to go towards investments,
house repairs and the mortgage principle payments.
Oh this is just fantastic
15:51 - Wow, never knew that trick!
Man this brings back memories. I played the crap out of this back in the day. I prefer Mario Kart 64 to this, but this is still a fun game.
NEWS FLASH!! This channel will be bigger than any other Channel in 1 year. Keep up the great work! Mark these words.
This game was fun another great Mario classic 16 bit era of gaming SNES Sega Genesis just good times then everything made sense and that pup has grown
My childhood memories I love this game so much growing up.
I have fond memories playing this game during the 1990s with my dad. As much as we both enjoyed the racing, the best mode of this game was, by far, Battle Mode. We often spent hours playing Battle Mode, great memories.
Thank god your back I hope you had a great holiday season
it took me a while to learn but one of the lessons in this game is, "how do you beat rainbow road without falling off the edge."
I remember being asked that right away, when I was getting better in the grand prix when no one was there, but they come back and find out
Koopa Troopa all day!!! Keep his legacy alive!!!
Still running troopa to this day on the switch. Represent.
This was so good I've watched it twice now. Love your vids.
I never knew those lap skips existed. I knew the basic mushroom and feather tactics, but the power drifting boost is new to me. I thought I was a Mario Kart master. I am humbled. And for the record, Toad and Yoshi were my characters.
I like Koopa Troopa and Yoshi as a kid - It def helped to have my brother in as player 2 to get through 150cc!
Which track? Sounds like one of the Donut Plains.
I never use that I always hop when i get to the 1st set of arrows, hold r and release the gas to get the long boost
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! Love the variety of games you cover.
I've already beaten 150cc, but it's nice to learn some new things, even if you're a longtime expert.
Thank you UCBVG for this video it made my Birthday a little more better.
What timing! i was just playing this last night thanks for the great video
Shirt is AWESOME!
And thank you for the message! 👍🏻
These videos are so oddly soothing
Another fantastic video. Great work my man!
Awesome video, very well made! Pretty dirty tricks, makes me miss playing this as a kid. The first time I beat 150cc, I was jumping all over the room!
Man I played this game for many, many hours. Then mario kart 64 came out and blew me away.
