And Gorkha successfully invaded Garhwal in their third attempt, before this they got defeated two times by Garhwalis. And that's why there's mild influence of Nepali culture in Garhwal. But yes I also believe that gorkha, Kumaonis and Garhwalis are Cousins. We had same himalyan ancestors, our cultures are similar and I feel proud to call my self Himalyan. Whatever happened then was between maharajas, today we all himalyans need to preserve our unique culture and heritage and our sacred land.
