Till is doing this song with "Haftbefehl" which means arrest warrent. Like so many other german rappers Haftbefehl's parents originated from arabic countries. A lot of mathematics originates from arabic countries way back when. For example "Algebra" or "Algorythm. My personal interpretation of this song is: Till is making fun of all these german rappers originating from arabic countries, while they are being completely ignorant of the fact that their ancestors uesd to be at the forefront of science and mathematics.

Do you realize when Till creates something on his solo project how absolutely insane and maniac these productions are? I think Rammstein always calms him down and keeps his crazyness under control, but when he can do what he wants to do without them he creates the most crazy stuff ever?

Strangely enough, I see it the opposite way, I feel that what Till is saying is that without education, your choices in life are going to be much more limited - yes it's about math, but I feel it's intended to be about school as a whole. The more basic your education, the more 'basic' your job is likely to be - is drug dealer much of an ambition? I dunno, I had a reasonable education and ended up doing a job where it was all pretty much irrelevant (apart from some geometry lol), but that was my choice because I have always hated being told what to do by anyone!
Absolutely right! Being a prostitute on the streets, talking about selling drugs and being wasted... Maybe some would see that as glamorous at a young age, having a bunch of money and not doing the boring stuff, but absolutely no future. This is a parody on ganstert rap videos! I mean it has it all, the macho boys and the hot chicks... Haftbefehl is rather an infamous german ganster rapper, don't know what moved him to take part in this. Anyhow, his Lyrics and Lindemanns are quite different in tone. Lindemanns text is rather what high school kid would say, that is somewhat rebellious but still does his stuff. And at least he is educated, a gettho kid wouldn't know what integrals are. Ĥaftebefehls lyrics in contrast are rather what a hardcore german gangster rapper would say, as low as it gets. Unfortunately those subtile differences are lost in translation.

Of you look at the activities in the video, they all involve cash businesses - drug dealing, prostitution, bare knuckle fighting. No need for complicated maths! I hated the subject in school but passed my exams somehow😂. Spent my working life as a tax officer so worked with figures all day. It was all basic arithmetic essentially though including trial ledger balances. As long as I could add, multiply, calculate percentages and work with fractions, there was no problem and yes, I did use a calculator. I was looking at millions of pounds of tax every week to be fair. Btw, Haftbefel translates to arrest warrant in English😅.

The song is just a parody of rap and a large part of the content that is conveyed in rap songs, at least in German rap, and of course also on the self-promotion of many rap artists. The track is a fun thing, the video is styled like many rap videos are, but : I would have done the this with some better rapper than "Haftbefehl" cause i can´t take his voice serious. In camparison to Lindeman he sounds like a little boy.
