Till did an amazing job with writing this song. They meet and fall in love they are singing in the same language and as their relationship is gets worse and they stop communicating Till starts singing in German. Then once they both die they are back together again singing the same language. Beautiful.

You can also notice the change in colour. In the happy scenes in the beginning dark blue is the main colour they're wearing, but when things go downhill they change the colours. Till even flipped the colours (dark blue shirt and white suit - dark blue shirt and white undershirt. While Zaz changes from blue to pink.

This is really beautiful, I spent a tear...their voices are mesmerizing
In Germany we say "Jemanden in die Wüste schicken" (Send someone out into the desert) if he/she cheated on you or did something bad and you break up tell him/her to leave. It shall emphasize that you don't care about this person anymore (which 99% of the time is a lie to oneself).
There are 2 storylines in the video
One is the line of the woman (ZAZ) and one is the line of the man (Till Lindemann), both of which are merged at some point, and there is also a meta-level.
There is an actual and a meta level in both stories, even if the two stories are joined together.
The two are a happy couple until the relationship or the mood changes.
She sits on the sofa drinking and he sits in the chair frustrated.
But then we see how they suddenly get closer again, but that is only an illusion and they both try to kill each other.
But the whole thing is in contradiction to reality and the meta-level begins again and we see both of them start to kill each other independently of each other.
The whole thing can be an alternative timeline, an alternative story or we go to a meta level.
What it really is is deliberately left open, the meta-level can mean that I have had enough of my partner and just want to grab him by the throat to kill him.
After that, both behave completely different and opposite in their story line .
The wife lovingly holds her dead husband in her arms while he just quickly pushes his wife away.
As in real life, there are different ways of dealing with a relationship that has ended.
Some quickly push their partner away (to possibly quickly turn to a new partner) like Lindemann here in the video and some still hold on to their partner like ZAZ here in the video.
She still has him in her heart and even if she suffers not to be with him anymore she still has loving feelings for him and is there for him.
Even if this ex-partner was responsible for her pain in the relationship.
Lindemann fixes his hair and clothes after the murder of ZAZ without his wife and looks in the mirror.
Is he ready for the next relationship or does he even have someone already ?
Is he numb or emotionless ?
ZAZ, on the other hand, is completely different. She sees the ghost of Till Lindemann, her ex-partner, after she killed him.
She sees the corpse with the open wound and devotes herself to it.
With the ghost of Til Lindemann, however, there is already another ZAZ there
Does the dead ghost of Til Lindemann from the ZAZ story line find the dead ghost of ZAZ from the Lindemann story line here?
Both stories from the respective murder meta-level come together here again as ghosts.
ZAZ himself remains lying by the dead Lindemann, while the ghost of ZAZ stands by the dead Till Lindemann ghost and embraces him.
Blood sticks to the ZAZ ghost's hands, which lie on Lindemann's shoulder and embrace him.
Metaphor as a reference to guilt and sin ? Blood sticks to their hands
Both spirits embrace each other
Message : you can love each other , you can hate each other , but you can reconcile ..because you belong together , love each other or can't let go of each other ... who knows ?
Afterwards, after the reconciliation of the two dead spirits from both story lines of the couple , they stand outside and suddenly burn , while their house suddenly disappears .
This seems to pick up the theological theme of purgatory as a metaphor.
Here the meta-level, the purgatory means that the body separates from the spirit.
The fire is the symbol of purification and one is washed clean of one's sins in order to enter the other world.
At the end or already at the beginning ZAZ digs up her dead husband and finds him in the grave and deceives him again.
While Till Lindemann , the husband finds no one in the grave and wanders around in the desert forever looking for ZAZ's body.
Moral speculation :
ZAZ after the murder in the Metabene , also took care of her husband or the relationship in real life , while the husband did not do so in the Metabene during his murder and thus in real life
ZAZ the woman ended the relationship in real life and broke up with the man (Till) but was still loving and still friendly with him.
She caused him pain by ending the relationship, but still comforted him and was there for him.
She could bury this past or this relationship (in her memory) in her garden (or cemetery).
She knows where he (or the relationship) is buried in her garden, can dig him up at any time and immediately feel and perceive all the emotions she has towards him again.
he can bury him again afterwards and calmly go on with her life.
She is completely at peace with herself and her ex-relationship psychologically processed.
She has come to terms with the former relationship.
Conversely, Till Lindemann as a man has not processed his former relationship with ZAZ at all.

The lyrics of the song stand in contrast to the video if one were to look at and analyse both separately.
A love could be mourned in the flower box at his cemetery or in real life at his grave.
One of them could have killed his partner in real life or at least have been responsible for his death by accident (accident, suicide).

Till also translated the lyrics to 'Heirate Mich' into French for the liner notes as marrying a corpse is legal in France.

The moment I heard this song a few weeks back I'd been listening to it non stop. I learned French back in school and have long forgotten it, but its nice to be able to sing along with such a beautiful song.
The scene where they are dancing on fire makes me think their relationship was fiery, in that it burned hot but burned through quickly.
The song is like a lullaby and is a fascinating digression from Till. Absolutely beautiful and showcases Till's creative spirit and sensitivity.

I'm a metalhead to the bone, but sometimes I listen to other stuff too, for the sake of diversity and because there's a lot more good music, like Zaz here, out of the mainstream that doesn't get the recognition they should. Loving her, she has a special voice, IMO that doesn't get explored much in here. The song that made me wanna hear more with her is "Les passants".

This video is beautiful. What I took from it was that no matter how good they are, relationships inevitably end, and burn themselves out and you end up killing each other (figuratively, but LITERALLY in this video). There's poetry in that, and this video is saturated with it. Not all relationships, but yes, sadly, most do end, even though they burn brightly for a time.

What if they where both dead and now wondering around, because they can not find their peace. Like they might have thought about it beforehand. What if there was poison in that bottle? The house was a very nice one, in there was the paradise, but now they are outside in hell, trying to find each other again, because when they where together, they where part of the times burning for each other. Zoran made this video, so I would not wonder, if he thought in a similar way. I can be also completely off here, but I think, this is the great thing in such videos. Being a French-speaking Belgian, I'm familiar with Zaz's (which are indeed French) well-known songs, and I've never really liked what she does. It's just not my style. But this song with Till works really well, I didn't expect it!

On the face of things, this really should not work. It does though and it works brilliantly and beautifully. The voices contrasting so well and the song contrasting so well with a typical Zoran Bihac video. Till can also speak Spanish as well as German, French, Russian and English-Te Quiero Puta is another great song that always goes down well.

My interpretation of the video- I thought Till was some non-human thing found by this woman in the ground. Then the story played out which went down hill between them. And when it went back to him in the ground I thought that stuff of them it showed was just something she had thought up would happen if she "rescued" him, so decided to leave him in the ground and save herself the heartache or whatever
