I am a big fan of Kovacs and all her songs, and I find this video just wonderful, thank you for your reaction to it, despite what you find in the German press these days: it's all about the music and its realisation in such a wonderful, sad, beautiful video, as I am sexual I have often felt that way too, please keep up the good work with your reactions.

I really like Sharon Kovacs singing style. Kinda like a cross between Macy Gray and Amy Winehouse. Its a really good contrast to Till
The song is such a punch in the gut. It hits me very close home. Now about the context of the lyrics here's what Kovacs has said. The song is about abuse of Kovacs in her youth. "Overcoming it. That the traumas no longer prevail and that you free yourself from things in your life and become stronger. This is also the case with drugs and alcohol. Child of sin is the moment I say goodbye to the dark and self-destructive in me. I have learned to love myself. That was quite a journey.
Her abuser manipulated her for a very long time and as i understand she couldn't even say anything to her own parents😢

Interesting analysis. I believe as a child in the video, Till Lindemann got a heart transplant and that is why he has a scar on his chest. He did terrible things with his 2nd chance and the dark angel took it back after the car accident and gave it to someone more deserving and has survived more than anyone else, Kovacs. She didn't deserve to die in the car accident too with another mistake that he made. Dark video, dark topics but as always Fantastic music and their voices together are just about perfect for this song.

I liked and subscribed just because you had the American flag in the background and you were reacting to Kovacs! A really underrated artist. Great interpretation of the song btw. Saw Till and Rammstein back in the 90's in Iceland, so I'm a big fan.

I used to listen to this song when I barely understood English, and just enjoyed the way it sounded, now I saw the video, and the real meaning. It's sad. Powerful. An interesting time for this to be released, what with the current allegations against Till. I know Kovacs is a vocal supporter of abuse survivors and women in general so its quite telling that she seeked him out to do this with her, I think. But anyway, dope reaction and analysis as always brother
Well, the accusations against Till turned out to be incorrect. As most people thought. Press campaign.
I was under the impression that she was 14 when he turned 16 and they were being kept apart from their young love and he banged at her door. Then later they stayed together and it became toxic etc... and after the accident she lived on with his heart... as portraying them both as sinners carrying a sinners heart b/c of the age diff when he turned 16... maybe shining a light on the problems that arise around becoming sexual beings and adults. Let me know what you think of this b/c i'm still very curious. Listen the the first few verses carefully about 14 and 16 though and tell me if you think that's significant plz :) new: ok, yeah, i missed it says 4! years old... ok, i missed that bad... ok, this just new again: so she says 4 y/o and 12 y/o love was unsexual and pure to her it sounds... he says 9 y/o and 16 y/o... roughly the same 7-8 year diff in the 2 ages they give... i think they were friends that were 5 years apart in age, and this is about their growing toxic love.
