How Modern “Equality” Comes at Women’s Expense

- According to the so-called “Equality Act,” government officials should force women and young girls to surrender their privacy in locker rooms and restrooms, while shelters serving women who have survived rape, domestic violence, and sex trafficking should be told to abandon the best interests of the women they serve … all in the name of “equality.”
Despite its appealing name, the Equality Act poses an unprecedented threat to women, children, free speech, and religious freedom. At its core, the Act ignores what science tells us about the differences between men and women-leaving women and girls to pay the price in shelters, locker rooms, and on the field of play.
By adding gender identity and sexual orientation to federal laws, the Act seeks to impose the government’s views about marriage, sex, and what it means to be male and female on the entire nation. That doesn’t offer equality, it creates victims.
The freedom to live peacefully according to our beliefs is a bedrock of a free society. But attempts to weaponize the law as a tool of cancel culture like the Equality Act fly in the face of freedom by forcing all Americans to adopt the government’s beliefs about marriage and human sexuality.
Our nation can-and must-do better.

tl;dr: anything men are known for (in both good and bad ways) are automatically bad because "dominating gender rich supremacist heirarchy blah blah blah" and their plan to eradicate sexism is to cut off anything of the sort... it just doesn't work like that

I can absolutely tell you, AS AN ADOPTED CHILD, that JUST because a a opposite sex couple has been together for a long time (my adoptive parents were together for 7 years before they adopted me), doesnt at all mean that they’ll be a better option than a same sex couple who has also been together for years.
to be completely honest; most heterosexual couples are the most dysfunctional parents to exist. and most of it is because people push this "TRAD MAN STRONG TRAD WOMAN HOUSEWIFE" which lead to increased divorces after it made it easier for women to get one. Illegalizing divorce just made it bottled up. I don't get how giving my dad alcohol as a kid for a tooth ache made him more of a "man".

first of all, the only privacy you really get when changing in a women’s locker room is when your home girl is holding the towel for you or when you are in the stalls changing/showering etc.
secondly, a child is not forced to live alone bc of this, but rather the child has a higher chance to get adopted into a lovely family because all sorts of couples such as same gender/sex couples are also included rather than only cisgender heterosexual couples.
third, if what you are worried about is these women sexually harassing or making the other people in the locker rooms uncomfortable... lesbians, pansexual women, bisexual women and etc. exists. we’ve been changing in the same locke rooms, bathrooms, even bedrooms as other women far longer than it was considered a hate crime to kill or attack someone for being lgbtqia+. Also, wouldn’t your little fit also apply to trans men who feel uncomfortable but are forced to change in the womens locker room? Aren’t the other women uncomfortable giving up their privacy because a man is changing with them? But they can’t change in the men’s locker room right? because that would just be absurd wouldn’t it? but going against it would basically throw what you’ve said out the window...
And finally, if these women were far more passing, to where you wouldn’t be able to tell if they were cis or not, ya wouldn’t have as a big of a fit than you are rn.

I would just like to say that this ad ruined my life. As a young, depressed transitioning female, I was already terrified about women’s perception of me. This ad put it into my head that every woman I saw would hate me, when that’s just not true. After I saw this, I descended even further and depression and literally attempted suicide and almost died because of this 5 minute advertisement (okay it wasn’t the only reason but it lead up to it).
Half a year later, I decide to look it up and see the comments to see if this is really what people think, and I’m delighted to see almost everyone sees this as the disgrace it is.
Now, say whatever you want, but I am the most feminist person I know, and I can say with absolute certainty, that this is not a feminist cause. My definition of feminism is supporting ALL females, not just the people who (from my point of view) are lucky enough to be born the way they’re happy with. This isn’t feminism, this is blatant homophobia and transphobia. Doesn’t feminism stem from being oppressed by the majority? How can you honestly think that you’re doing something good when you are only doing the exact same thing to the minority?

We don't completely ignore darwinism...? I think you're talking about biological sex, which first of all isn't directly related to Darwinism so you sound like an idiot. And second of all, of course biological sex is real. It's just different from gender, which is a purely social construct that doesn't necessarily match up with your sex. This may be surprising to you, but you can actually believe in biology AND sociology at the same time.

It's VERY likely that they could be lying just to get sympathy so they can find some woman to abuse. They let the male children in, but adults outside of the people there aren't even allowed to know where the shelter is located. The people making this video may be fake feminists, but they still make a very good point. Biological men shouldn't be allowed in Women's Shelters. Increasing security isn't going to help at all. The one I lived in barely had any security. And if it did, wouldn't that be suspicious for an abusive ex looking for their kid and wife/girlfriend??

A) No, bathrooms should be gender identity based since it is extremely hard to define what exactly "biologically male" and "biologically female" are.
B) How exactly do you intend to police that? It wouldnt make sense to inspect *everyone*, so who would you do? Just the people who "Look too masculine" or "look too feminine"? Thats going to be really hard to define, and wont get anywhere close to actually getting a good sample of trans pepole in the bathroom of their gender identity.

Everyone’s freedom comes with boundaries. Trans women have the same freedom. I, of course, wouldn’t recommend someone transition (because trans people describe it as a very difficult thing to go through), but if the person choose to undergo a transition, that’s fine. That, however, does not mean you are suddenly allowed to enter women’s sports and makes female athletes like Selina Soule suffer. Nor does it mean everyday women have to accommodate them in their female spaces.

It's also funny that these people don't realize that some male/female adoptive parents can be toxic to an adoptive child. Saying this as someone that was married to a man that had been adopted through a religion based system... And his "parents" abused him in multiple ways possible but according to the church since his parents were went to church, were male and female and had high paying jobs they were "perfect". Orphanages really need to consider that just these things doesn't necessarily mean the parents are "good" for a child.
Everyone's capable of being good or bad regardless of orientation but a lot of people seem to be under the assumption that a seemingly "traditional family" on the surface is the right thing without looking deeper into something beyond "It's a man and woman and they're married and love Jesus."
And before anyone goes off on me, I said "some" and not all. I do know of plenty of male/female couples that were wonderful adoptive parents just like I've seen plenty of gay couples who are awesome parents as well. I just want to point out the fact that some religious folks assume that "straight and married" is enough to raise a healthy child in a healthy household without seeing how they genuinely are as people. Just like religious folks assume that gay equals bad without seeing how the gay couple are as people.

I honestly don’t agree with the Religious thing about same sex people not being able to Adopt children. I was my self adopted by same sex couple. But I don’t feel comfortable with trans women in women spaces like bathrooms and changing rooms unless they have a vagina. They need to understand that their lifestyle can be sabotaged by people who are not actually living that life. They need to create a secure place for them too.
