Dany was absolutely right. The Tarlys betrayed their liege lords (the Tyrells) for their own greed (Jaime promised them they could rule the Reach).
They refused the Wall so death is the only option. It's what every ruler would do including the Starks. It's what Jon did to Janos Slynt.
As for Tyrion, he's good Hand during peace time but a shit Hand during war. Ellaria was right. He doesn’t have the stomach for war and is weak. And a hypocrite because he burnt alive thousands of Stannis' men.
Also, I'll point out Targaryens love incest. They wed brother to sister for years. So aunt/nephew isn't a big deal. Dany's parents (Jon's paternal grandparents) were brother and sister. As were their parents.
The Starks are the second most inbred family after the Targaryens. Ned's parents were first cousins. And Starks have married uncle to niece before.

an important thing to note is that in both books and series, all the Stark children love each other but pound for pound Arya is more connected to Jon and likes him more than any of her other siblings. so she's naturally inclined to defend him at anything before anyone else

People always forget that Dany gave them an option to not bend the knee and still live - she gave them the option to go to The Wall and they refused. THEY chose death over following Dany or being stripped of their titles - she didn't choose for them. & every single Stark would've done the same thing as Dany, especially Ned lol.

@@Nihilanth Genocide is the intentional destruction of a people[a] in whole or in part. In 1948, the United Nations Genocide Convention defined genocide as any of five "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group." These five acts were: killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. Giving these backstabbers the option to join her was nice enough already. This is war, so yes, you either join or die for killing her ally! &Tyrion acting all brand new when he has no issue using Wild Fire against Stannis' army. And Sophie is 100% right about Dany's counselors, she really should have just gone with her own plan to fly to the red keep and get rid of Cersei to begin with, would have avoided so much time and lives lost, Tyrion's counsels as her hand has been straight Ls so far

Once people decide they are rolling with someone they will just rationalize and justify anything that happens. Honestly acting like "She gave them a choice" makes her point morally valid is really something. Yes, she gave some complete strangers who have absolutely no reason to have allegiance to her the choice between being her slave or burning alive. Agreed. When all the power of the choice (including your own life) is in the hands of the other) there is no real choice. It's the same as someone putting a gun to your head who says "Your money or your life". Yes, you can choose to give up your life, but your life is still on the hands of the person who just robbed you at gunpoint.
Also... ruling by fear is not a good way to rule. People will never really respect a leader they fear. Before long, they will grow tired of living in fear. And when they've had enough, they will either leave under peril of death, or they will gather together and plot to overthrow and kill their evil leader.

Sophie, Dany literally just forced an army of people to bend the knee or die. It wasn't like when she gave the Dothraki's a choice to follow her or go their own way. Dany wants to rule as much as Cersei does and she's starting to become more ruthless.

I noticed that y’all are cheering the brutal choice’s Danny makes because it shows strength. Remember that “fear” in leadership isn’t always a virtue… sometimes it is seen as force. Some may think Danny is forcing them to bend the knee through fear. Danny set out to give people a choice ie. Missande, Greyworm and the unsullied. She gave them a choice to follow her. Now things have changed… why?! It can’t be just because they’re in Westeros. The people of Westeros are suffering under unjust rule and yet Danny still wants to force them to serve her instead. For the most part, she’s being cheered for it too. Be careful that you don’t advocate for brutal tactics just to sit on a throne. Does the outcome really justify the means at which you obtain it? When it came to the Tarly’s.. y’all confidently said “they had a choice”. Yes… so did Danny. Just sayin that things aren’t so black and white

Cersei and Dany are equally villainous. They both think that ruling by fear is good. And they are both willing to kill anyone for power.
