Hi, do you also have problems with sound on your radio when using MirrorLink? The most noticeable is when i’m watch UA-cam. The picture cuts, and the sound is crackling. When I use navigation and listen to Spotify music, the sound is cut too. Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (Passat B8 2016, Discovery Media)

Hi, i have followed all your instructions on how to get this to work on my samsung s8 but still no luck, where you load the car mode then click the back botton, mine does not allow this, the back button does nothing when i press it. am i missing something?? thanks

This *does not work* like this on S8 on most models. Requires CarMode app which controls other Mirrorlink Apps
i only disagree the message and it works fine
oxymoron works how? On S8+, as it came from the store, the internal carstub only shows the carmode app to the car. The other apps only run from within car mode, and then LG won't bring back to phone screen.

isn't working for me. I can't hit the back button (left arrow) on the warning screen before entering car mode. As soon as I accept the warning i only see the standard apps. Do you have another patch or tool installed to allow you to skip the warning message?

Hello Oxymoron, please can you help me? I just bought my brand new car Peugeot 3008 and I tried connect all apps throught mirrorlink like you show on videos or what I found on youtube. I have Samsung Galaxy S8 and when I connect phone to my car and I start mirrorlink I see there lg mirror drive but when I click on it display only flash to black for 1 second and nothing happened more. Can you tell me what I can do more or how I can show all apps to my device? I have Android 7.0, Thank you so much

Hello, I did try on a Toyota Fortuner and only a grey screen is display showing MirrorLink is playing. I was able to see for a few seconds the screen from my cellphone on the car radio. I am using a S8+ non root.. Any help would be appreciate it.

Hi Oxymoron, I downloaded the apk "Car Mode" from the official Samsung galaxy store.
According to the official Mirrorlink web site, it is assumed that Mirrorlink recognizes this apk but the screen of my car only shows the following apps: LG mirrordrive, RockScout, and Sygic
The apk Car Mode does not appear on the RCD 330g screen of my car
Any idea why this happens?

how you get that screen on there ? what car you using I trying it in a 2017 skoda octavia and the lg mirror doesn't appear in apps unless you open samsung car mode then it just errors

So I tried older version of car mode (5.1.17.327) and when I connect mirrorlink I get warning that I can´t use S voice, so I press OK and then I press Car mode. In Car mode I have black screen but I can use Easy Touch without problem, if I press back button, screen goes back to basic mirrorlink screen where I see Car Mode icon. If I press Car Mode icon again, now I see google maps 1:1 on my car screen but only for 2 seconds then screen goes black again and I can use only Easy Touch to go back to main screen of mirrolink. It sucks :-(

I have an odd problem. S8+ with a SEAT LEON.
If I don't install CarMode App all I get is a prompt on dash screen asking to install it (prompt is providede by CarStub)
When I install CarMode it opens ok, but LG MirrorDrive and other Mirrorlink apps like RockScout don't (calling from inside Car Mode).
The only APP that shows on "Mirrolink Apps" screen on the dashboard is the CarMode app.
Odd thing is my Samunsg A3 works. Doesn't even call the CarMode App. And on the list of apps it shows both LG MirrorDrive and the SEAT app..

Pedro Almeida same as mě. S8 and vw golf 2017. Last car mode app dont let me push back button so I tried odlet version. Back button works but it only took you back to main screen with car mode. But I see full mirror link for just two seconds then it goes back to main screen.

Irgendwie ist meine 1. Antwort verschwunden. Daher vielleicht doppelt.
Es funktioniert so wie im Video zu sehen ist bis auf das oft bei jeder App der Haftungsausschluss angezeigt wird und man ihn jedesmal nicht zustimmen darf. Manchmal reicht es einmal am Anfang.
Die LG MirrorDrive App sorgt bei älteren Geräten (zB S5 ua-cam.com/video/orR5QX3tJmg/v-deo.html ) dafür das man fast alle Apps spiegeln kann. Die App bricht beim starten ab. MirrorLink bekommt den Abruch nicht mit und zeigt dann nicht zertifizierte Apps und/oder den Homescreen weil das System denkt die zertifizierte LG App laufen würde. Es gibt zahlreiche Beispiel Videos mit S7 S6 und A5 ... Auch mit Android7.
Dieser Trick funktioniert bei meinem S8 nicht mehr. Das ich die LG App drauf habe und zufällig das LG Video starte hat leider nichts mit dem S8 zu tun.
Ich hatte mein S8 an das DP angeschlossen. Dann hat sich halbautomatisch sie carmode App installiert. Damit ging nichts. Nach einem Werksresett habe ich die carmode App aus dem Samsung Galaxy App Shop manuell installiert und es lief wie im Video oben. Des weiteren kannst du versuchen mit der "
Nach dem ich Carmode deinstalliert habe und wieder installiert hat es funktioniert, zumindest teilweise.
