I like your record storage
That Gil-Scot Heron album you showed is a masterpiece!
Hi Jeff, good answers to Rob's questions. I was impressed by the band you showed Magma.
Thanks Steve. Took small bites for a bit. I have your response marked in my watchlist. Cheers
I'm a newcomer here and really dig your list! I hope you feel better soon. I do want to say your Elvis 7" selections are delectable looking, amazing releases! Congrats. You make me want to collect him now especially in that format!
Thanks for the kind words. Never to late to start any collection. Cheers, Jeff
Excellent choices, I especially liked the Elvis records.
Thanks Harry. I was pleasantly surprised by your Elvis tag responses. Didn’t realize you were such a fan (assumed by what you’ve amassed). Cheers, Jeff
Really enjoyed this one! Subbed and excited to see what you post next.
Thanks for watching and the kind words. Cheers
Happy New Year Jeff! I hope you are feeling better. Fantastic response! I watched your video this past Saturday as I was taking the Christmas tree down. I think you've inspired me to dive in on Magma this year. So far I've only really just scratched the surface with them. I think I just need to jump in head first. Woah, those Elvis singles are great. I'd love to see more of your collection if you have more. That'd be a heck of a dinner party. The stories that crew could share. Crime Of The Century holds up so well. Your copy still looks to be in terrific shape after all of these years. I'll make it a point to check out the channels you mentioned. Enjoyed this, Jeff! Best wishes to you in 2024!
Thanks Bill for the kind words. I trust you had a great Christmas. I've noted and added your response to my vinyl tag watch list. It's difficult to keep up as there are so many, but looking forward to seeing yours. Hold I/O is a great start... Cheers!
i am so behind on keeping track of the recent MFSL releases!
Great tag. I probably won't pull the trigger on that Elvis record but it is one of my favorites by him. I really liked your Elvis singles/EP's.
Thanks Randy. It's got me thinking about doing an Elvis 7" video. Hope you're doing well. Cheers!
Killer
Thanks
Nice records. The Elvis box set is great 👍. My first appreciation of Elvis was in 1976. My grandmother took me to the Pearl Harbor memorial. Elvis helped get this memorial built. He felt those men needed a proper memorial instead of just an American flag place on the ship.
Elvis, aside from his musical talent and ability to change music and influence musicians for decades to (even still) come, was a humble, empathetic and giving man. The few, great artists close to his popularity and selling ability can’t hold candle to the person he was and the things he did. Thanks for watching.
Love that Neil album. What a collection of hits. Gonna check out those channels you mentioned and subbed to you as well. I also agree that Nirvanas unplugged was the best of them 🤘🏼. This was great. All the best!
Thanks Jason. Appreciate the kind words. Cheers!
Hey Jeff, Enjoyed your video tag. Nice choices. Hope you feel better. Take Care.
Thanks Edward. I trust you’re considering the tag? Have a great day.
@@Speekers_corner I'm thinking about doing a response.
NEIL!😎🎶😎
Just did my first. So much fun
Look forward to checking it out.
Hey Jeff! Cool Magma albums. Hard to pick a decade of music. It’s funny how our dads music rubs off on us. Decade! Amazing Neil comp that I don’t yet have. Impressive Elvis 7 inches. Excellent dinner party guests. Rest in Peace Gordon Lightfoot! I wish I could have seen him perform. You always show really interesting albums Jeff. I’d love to spend some time exploring your collection. I almost picked that Woodstock album too Jeff. Great Sticky Fingers! Greatest hits indeed. Nice Joni album! Feel better soon Jeff!
Thanks Chris. Appreciate the kind words. Growing up, my dad was also my concert buddy. I learned any thing music from him and I didn't have friends who were big into music like I was. Music runs deep. Cheers!
Hi Jeff - I enjoyed your tag video. You showed my fav Supertramp record. Gil Scott-Heron record seem to be hard to find. I don't have Thriller! Woodstock is a fabulous choice.
Thanks Brian. Yes, the S-H album does now seem to be difficult to get. I recall getting the reissue quickly anticipating a healthy demand. Cheers
Hey Jeff! Hope you can kick that cough soon. Crime of the Century is one my all-time favs. I just bought a new turntable a couple weeks ago, and it was the 2nd album I tested it out with. Cheers!
Hi Steve. Crime's a beauty. A new TT? How exciting! Enjoy and thanks. Cheers, Jeff
Happy new year my friend and great video and great stuff i have that same Elvis album on cd on mofi.
Thanks Curtis. Happy New Year!
@@Speekers_corner happy new year my friend
Great stuff Jeff!
You k ow what I had always sold off all of my Elvis but a few, then I watched the most recent movie, which at times was hard to watch but good then the footage of him singing in Vegas right near the end it just got me, I’ve now regained an appreciation for the man, and will build my collection back up a bit.
I e heard the name Magma but am
Not familiar with, will seek some out.
Nice call on Decade
Good party choices.
Mine was going to be Gord but Myles just hit me a little
Bit More.
I picked the country from my heart :-)
I hope You are feeling better!
I have watched quite a few tags so far and I have not, not had the one everyone has. I have not had any the no one has :-)
That’s an awesome cover on Midori I like the horse/sheep/bunny.
unplugged is very good, I recently got Pearl Jams and it is good as well, and I kinda liked the Kiss one.
I chose my album cover quick, and now have thought of Many others but I am standing by my choice.
Joni is going to come up
In a video I recorded yesterday.
Good stuff man feel better!
Hello and thanks for your in-depth reply. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Yes, the Unchained Melody performance in ‘ELVIS’ where they surprisingly change from Austin to the actual footage with Elvis forced an audible gasp outta me in the theatre. Thanks again for the well wishes. Cheers, Jeff
@@Speekers_corner it was a moving scene.
Happy New Year Jeff. Hanging on to Elvis for the right time huh. My kid brother Ted does that with superior Hash. LOL... Can't sleep huh? Welcome to the club, bet I got you beat. Three and a half hours for a night is tops for me in 2 or 3 hourly lay downs. I never sleep longer than an hour and a half.... I might do this Tag for Rob. I like the limey... LOL
Happy New Year, pal. Wow, 2-3 hours.. you have me beat alright. My problem is falling asleep coupled with being a light sleeper, so I wake easily. I'd love see to you do the tag. With only 2-3 hours of sleep, your days are extra long - you've got all the time in the world lol.
Great video and answers. I will have to check out Magma the French prog albums since I started the prog journey about six months ago.
Thanks. I wouldn't say Magma is your typical prog sound. Certainly unique. Cheers!
Hey Jeff. Thanks for the mention. I very much enjoyed our record show day. Cant wait to dig with you again! Properly this time.
Certainly Rob. I’ll be in touch in the next few weeks to hammer out a date.
i like elvis presley's music too, jeff!! i have almost every 10 hit by him on 45 record between 1956 and 1963.
Essential stuff, Dave.
Magma... a band that has always sort of scared me to get into (and as a prog guy I should be ashamed!). I'll need to tip-toe into them. Great response and hope you start feeling better soon. Cheers Jeff!
Thanks Alex. Magma certainly isn't for everyone. I suspect the "vocals" scares some people away. I love their unique sound. Did take a while to process, though. I saw you did a tag response and have it in my watch list -- they're rolling in swiftly now. Look forward to it. Cheers!
Hi Jeff
Magma are a group I'm yet to dive into, although i'm aware of their reputation.
Nice to see that Hollies Evolution, don't believe I've ever seen that one in the wild.
I worked with a guy who suffered with dreadful insomnia and said he rarely slept for any length of time.
An artist that could write a song like ' If You Could Read My Mind ' is sheer genius..RiP Gordon Lightfoot.
Nice choice with Crime of the Century..one of their finest for sure.
I think my local independent had some Midori Takada, I wished I'd picked one up.
Nirvana unplugged is also my favourite MTV unplugged, with Neil Youngs' a close 2nd...I was offered an original pressing of Nirvana Unplugged but it was just too rich for my blood!!.
Great choice with Court & Spark..Jonis' best selling album I believe.
Great response Jeff, enjoyed it.
Thanks, Rob. Neil is also my second fav unplugged performance. Love the Takada album. I recommend sampling it. Gorgeous stuff. Cheers!
Hi Jeff! At one point I thought you weren’t going to make it ! But you’re old school the show must go on 😀.. you made 14 videos I made 22 we need to up our game in 2024 …. It’s always a treat meeting up with other people from the vc. Great response Jeff 👍
I didn't think I'd make it for a second there, either. Too stubborn to throw in the towel. I thought: I must do this for Rob. Cheers, pal.
Are you familiar with the Japanese 2 piece Ruins ( bass and drums) largly influenced by Magma ?
I’m not. Thank you for the info. I will look into them. Cheers
Magma. I saw them at the Roundhouse sometime in the early 70s. They were just horrible.
Bummer.
No need to apologize for mispronouncing the Magma albums. It is a made up language. I also chose the Hollies for Manchester band. I purged my copy of Thriller. Personally I think Woodstock would have been a nightmare.
I’m sure the revolution will be televised.
I’ve had a couple nightmare weekends when I was younger… didn’t have that line up, though!
