Thanks for this really wonderful, literally, video. Just wondered what stops any poachers from doing the same as you. Could you not have gone in but not said where you were and not show some of the track you used?
I remember the first time these were shown by David Attenborough and he actually sat in

That country is beautiful! Amazing, and brave to go thru those forests. =]
250 to 300 kilos? Isn't that about 550 to 660 lbs?! Wow; won't want one of those to attack. ={ Have they ever been known to maul or kill if feeling threatened?

It’s surprising to me the Silver Back or any others really do not look at the camera as an eye. Whereas the other avert your gaze to show there is no threat, the camera is constantly on them facing them in the eye.
Great stuff, and far better than the first David Attenborough program, though that may also be because some of the Older females and the Silver Back may have actually been a part of the original group.
Do you have the Data telling you or anyone online, if these were related?

the middle of the group as was then, do not know how many there was, maybe a dozen?
I only hope these are seen as animal gold and there is no corrupt country leader somewhere planning his triumphant walk through this patch holding the Gorilla’s head or a couple of arms you know?
No insult intended, but I had to write what I was and am truly worried about.
    Take care.
