- Unboxing and first mods of Quansheng UV-K5 Transparent clear case. We backup calibrations and config, and then install Punktracker firmware. As well we throw on new belt clip from motorolla and volume button from baofeng, as well as SMA-to-BNC adapter and BNC antenna. Plus we discuss what mods await this radio.

Those clear cases look like the electronics you get when your in jail here in the US. I think I will go with custom paint job.
That's a U.S. thing. We don't have this in Russia, so it looks cool to me.

Is there anyway you could share those calibration files with those who didn't do that before installing a new firmware?? Asking for a friend....

Thing is, your calibration is yours, calibration from others is different, I checked. Calibrations from others are awailable on this telegram channel -- uv_k5.
@@codernov I understand, the calibration is unique to each radio. I don't currently need it, just wanted back up if I screw things up. LOL I should have taken the calibrations when it was brand new, before the firmware updates.
@@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks Depending on what you installed, calibrations might have not changed. What did you install, entire order of operations?
I'm also adding more versions to my collection. On aliexpress i found a Ksun version.
I checked it out. In my market it cost almost 180 bucks. Mad.

What belt clip did you swap to? All you mentioned was that it was a Motorola clip.
If you search for HLN8255 on ali you'll find whole bunch of options. Button is for baofeng uv-5r, and be sure to get t-7000 glue for the button.
