Beautiful. Thank you
Lovely ❤ Thanks John 🌻👍😍 Enjoyed this and Thank you Harri
Richard Hawley has a great back catalogue of songs.
Just beautiful. I think Sinatra is definitely a more apt comparison. Regardless of all that, it was a lovely listen. Thanks Harri and John 🌺✌️
John - This is my first time listening to Richard Hawley and I am quite impressed. Harri, I think you are right about sounding more in the Sinatra category.
Try “Valentine” by Richard Hawley. That is my favorite song he has done, and the style of the song is much more like Roy Orbison. Richard is amazing and sings many styles.
I stumbled into this song a few years ago, and it became a favorite. In fact, I just searched to see if anyone had reacted to it, and there you were! How did I miss it? Definitely more of a Sinatra vibe. Maximo Park (Leave This Island) as well. Brendan Perry of Dead Can Dance also has a great crooner voice.
If you want to hear the song 'crooned' check out the recording by the great Tony Christie. It has me reaching misty-eyed for the whiskey bottle every time I play it.
Heart of oak is another great track
The first person I thought of other than a modern-day Frank Sinatra was the voice of Michael Buble'. I definitely did not"feel" a Roy Orbison vibe. Did anyone else think of Mr. Buble'? It's a beautiful song. He has a dreamy, smooth, sexy crooning voice. A song to enjoy with a special someone cuddled in front of a fireplace with a glass of wine. What can I say? I'm a romanticist at heart. LoL😅❤
I agree that he's very similar to Michael Buble.
Good call, Harri. Certainally no Roy Orbison in his voice; rather more like Sinatra or perhaps closser to Tony Bennett.
,
No comparison to Roy here, this guy's a crooner.
i sampled this album. it's 20 years old and may put one to sleep
