Richard Hawley for me is definitely one of those artists that I can’t believe isn’t huge, but then I also prefer to have him to myself, then when you meet other people who love him, it is like meeting someone from an exclusive club you are both in. Also, you can pick and choose who to introduce to Richard based on who you think will appreciate him and deserves it.
Your very much like me, I love richard Hawley. His music is smooth and soft.
Hawley is a modern day genius with an old time soul. His back catalogue is an absolute treasure trove. That album is melancholic beauty typified. His albums Coles Corners and Lady's Bridge preceding Truelove's gutter have more variety to them, but I do think this one is his best, so much depth. I am glad you have found him!
Open up Your Door is another beautiful song by this guy. I love love love his voice . Agree with you, under rated.

I love me some Richard Hawley and this track is a firm favourite, it starts off sparse and becomes all encompassing - a truly beautiful piece of music.
