Dr.Francois can you do a video about how doctors are scheduled. Talk about things like what is considered FT vs PT in a doctor's world ? Do you all have a scheduler or do you pick out your own shifts? Is there a first come first serve basis or does it go by seniority? What happens in case of a emergency and you can't make a shift? Do you like a schedule with random days or a set schedule?

The fact that you’re from the Bronx, black AND in a level 1 trauma center as an anesthesiologist… it’s literally like I’m looking at my future self.

I want to work in the trauma center but I don't want to be like a nurse , or a sergeon I'm not very well informed cuz I've tried to find someone to explain all the stuff there but I can't find anyone and Google isn't being very helpful . Physicians in trama can like diagnose and treat patients too right ?

Yes, they do. If you’re interested in working with traumas, You could consider becoming an Emergency medicine physician, or Anesthesiologist.

I love everything about your channel and journey! I came across it when looking at Anesthesia as a potential specialty. I love that you can share your experience of being a non-traditional student (like myself), plus black representation is so meaningful to me since I still do not have much of that in my everyday life. The icing on the cake is that you work at the same hospital as my bf (surgical tech), ik this man is tired of me asking if he worked with you today 😂

off topic but I see this push to not always remove the appendix when appendicitis is occurring. this is a money saving measure and is nuts!

    • @3anesthesiame40

Sometimes when appendicitis is occurring and the appendix is not ruptured, it can be managed medically which means using antibiotics and resting the bowels. This is done often, and can cure the infection, also this can helps avoid surgery which not only saves money, but reduces risk-surgeries aren’t without risk, even a simple appendectomy, especially if the patient has other medical problems as well. Thanks for watching..Hope this was helpful!
