      No worries! Yeah I'm really enjoying it so far. There's a few things I really don't like, (I think a dedicated properties panel would be better than double clicking each layer to open a separate window) but for the most part it's been a good experience.

    I've used Anime Studio 8 Pro for years and have tried upgraded to Moho Debut 13.5. The vector import isn't perfect. I've learned you have to tweak no matter what. One trick I did is have a transparent rectangle the size of my character and then import each part. That seems to help keep the size.

    Very cool! Looks complicated to learn, but once you're comfortable with it, things would probably move along much faster and easier. And once a character is created, you can use it over and over, right? Thanks for this. Annimatjon is the one thing Affinity is missing right now.

    You are right that the workflow from AD to Moho...well, is non existent. But this video is very helpful for those of us who have both softwares. I don't know if you've gotten there yet, but Moho has many fantastic tools that allow for pixel based images to be manipulated. Of course, we like vectors because of flexibility, infinite resolution, etc. But many moho artists import PS files and Moho does do that pretty seamlessly. Just subscribed to your channel and I'll be looking over for more tips, thanks! BTW, Moho's vector drawing tools are pretty good. You can achieve most of what you created in this tutorial without the headache and added workflow of Affinity Designer. Still, there are good reasons to have both.

      Thanks tuning in! I did wind up creating a logo animation that combined pixel and vector based artwork. It's a 3 part video series I uploaded here on my channel. That said, I haven't used Moho since. I'm thinking of using it to make animated loops of a lot of my other artwork though, and using those loops to play to the music on my other channel. So yes, more Moho to come, just not right away :)

    • @RSKT_art
      @RSKT_art  Місяць тому

      I used Adobe animate for a long time. My personal experience is even after all the updates, it's a program that just scratches the surface of a lot of great tools without giving you more advanced features. That said, it's still a great and fun program. Personally, I find Moho's bone tools and drawing tools are 100x more fleshed out than Animate. I'd reccomend getting a trail of each one to see what works best for you though.

Isn't there an option to export a PSD file and a designer file and maintain all the layers I'm sure there is I remember reading about it so why couldn't you just do this with affinity because it has that option of exporting as PSD...

    I just cannot find a way to import vectors to moho without the vectors getting distorted. Like you said. working with bitmaps is much easier but i wish i could work with vectors in a more intuitive, easier way.

    • @RSKT_art
      @RSKT_art  2 роки тому

      I totally feel you on this one. Not sure if this will help, but I found my vectors got distorted if I'd done things in Affinity like flipping it or merging 2 objects together. Basically, make sure your vectors are expanded before exporting them. It's still a pain to import them though, much easier to make everything from scratch in Moho.

    • @Metathronos
      @Metathronos 2 роки тому +1

      @@RSKT_art I juts went and tried what you said and expanded everything, saved it as svg but it still distorts on import. Not sure what i'm doing wrong, but it's precisely objects that have been flipped/mirrored. For instance if i make an arm, duplicate the arm, flip it, expand it. it will distort on import. Everything that has been flipped doe sthe same. That is so weird

    • @RSKT_art
      @RSKT_art  2 роки тому

      @@Metathronos yeah it is really weird. Sorry the expansion trick didn't work :/
