Hi Rob. Thanks for making these videos. I'm a nomad as well. Thankfully it doesn't snow like that here in southern Georgia. Hope all is well brother. Keep up the hard work
Great job Rob! I can see that look of satisfaction in your face. Now you just need maybe some good food and hot beverages. Also some quality of life such as entertainment! Snow shoes are great for hikes and books are a great source of entertainment. I know that when I am alone with my thoughts things get bad. Writing is great or some form of Art. You don't need a lot of cash for either of these. Setting goals and planning too can also be entertaining. Think of what makes you happy and gravitate toward that. Your place looks like a cozy castle now compared to the beginning when everything looked dim. Bit by bit you will embrace your new environment or you will make the best plan ever to move up and out but you will be happy knowing you did your best!🙂❤
Glad your doing OK, I look forward to your videos and updates. I never realised how much snow New York gets, we don't get alot in the UK. Take care stay safe hun xx
The South East shore of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario recieve a ton of snow thanks to Lake effect. NYC doesn't usually see nearly as much snow as upstate.
Good to see you made it through man, stay warm and get something to make some hot coffee or chocolate or whatever, as long as it's warm, gotta keep your core warm, much love from Missouri man, stay safe and warm brother.
You're going to make it Rob, a warriors spirit runs through you. I know because it takes one to know one. Hang tight,....you have people who will make sure you make it.
Any way to use two tarps, use zip ties to fasten them together, and put that over your whole setup? You could use poles to make them higher and every so often knock off excess snow
Nice seeing you Rob, once the month of February is done so shall the snow, cold, wind and the storms.... it'll be over before you know it...in less than 3 weeks..... your place is looking good, keep the good fight, I didn't see you for a while, was worried.... God bless Rob..... hope to see again soon...✝♥🙏
Hope that last stick you put up over the tent roof don't rip a hole in it from the weight of the snow and ice. I thought I saw a small piece of branch nub hanging down.
Seeing your set up had me wishing I could be out there with you. All those trees you have piled up there would be fun to build a bush craft hut with them! lol. Well now that I think about it I’m not sure that would be possible with frozen ground. We do not have that problem here in Georgia.
Hello Rpb hope your well up there I'm down on long island. When I was homeless for 2 years I used a Dakota fire hole until I built a shanty shack with a fireplace I made out of bricks food for thought if your looking to stay. I know you where looking to go to Florida in any case good luck and don't give up..
looks like a nice set up . that snow will help keep your heat in . pack it up around your walls . leave it on your roof as much as you can . not only will it help keep you warm it will help you blend in and hide from prying eyes . you can cook on that little buddy heater with a little rigging cans of soup or a small pan . just make sure you have it nice and stable . but yeah you can cook on it . i would be more worried about them candles . dont go to sleep with them on .
If it were possible I would’ve a couple years ago. I have a ton of layers between the ground and tent, and myself and the tent. It’s like a bed, and even have a waterproof mat way down.
Awesome job on the stealth shelter igloo style 😉 I love it!!! You are looking good young man!!! How's the candles working to throw much heat? Something to think about is making emergency candles from grease or shortening...I've made them before...they burn for a long time and you can heat water in a small cup ontop of the candle source...need empty coffee can...put grease filled soup can inside the coffee can...I used twisted Mason Line as a wick when I didn't have candles ready...I put a mesh over the heat source and boiled water for tea in less than 5 minutes...those homemade emergency heat source candles can burn for a few days...I wish I had a video of how I did that 😞 but it was during a time when I didn't have a camera or a phone...you can google it...I got all the stuff I needed from scavenging around so didn't cost one nickle...anyhow I just wanted to touch base with you and send you a warm hug ♡♡♡
Hi you doing Rob . Listen I don't know if you know this but Amazon sells hot tents for something like $200 dollars . I mean it's a cheap type but it'll keep you warm for the winter you know what I'm saying . I'm just letting you know in case you might be interested in getting yourself one . Stay safe and be well Brah . Here in NY we got rain all day and night . Be well .👍🙏✌️

Things are surely looking better for you :) Nice to hear you say you are warm. All that snow is going to help insulate your tent. Hoping you didn't get to much though. Kind of hard to get around in a foot of snow. Warmer days are ahead :) Looking forward to your next video ! Take Care 😊
Hi Rob. Thanks for making these videos. I'm a nomad as well. Thankfully it doesn't snow like that here in southern Georgia. Hope all is well brother. Keep up the hard work
Be careful with that buddy heater and all that dry wood, make sure you have a scape route in case of fire, God bless you friend.
There’s a lot between the heater and any type of wood. And I only use it when directly supervising it.
Nice work. Praying good things to happen for you. 💯❤️🙏🏻✨🕊. Loved your set up.
The snow is absolutely beautiful. You home looks comfy. Stay warm and safe. God bless you 🙏✝️
Thank you!
@@RobTheNomad Your welcome 🙏

Glad you made a roof structure, hope you are staying warm. Keep up the vids, they are great.
Your a warrior Rob.🇺🇲👍❤
Glad your doing OK, I look forward to your videos and updates. I never realised how much snow New York gets, we don't get alot in the UK. Take care stay safe hun xx
There is a yearly snow total competition and we either win or are at the top consistently!
The South East shore of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario recieve a ton of snow thanks to Lake effect. NYC doesn't usually see nearly as much snow as upstate.
@@salvatorebaleno9807 I am upstate. Right in one of the main lake effect bands.
Good to see you made it through man, stay warm and get something to make some hot coffee or chocolate or whatever, as long as it's warm, gotta keep your core warm, much love from Missouri man, stay safe and warm brother.
Hey Rob hope you're doing well you almost got an igloo there . Spring couldn't come fast enough . Keep strong brother
Hey Rob. Greetings from Germany. Stay safe and head up.👍

Hey rob to be honest it looks cold but your getting there. Keep it up and you will have a cozy warm space. One step at a time is all we can do.
Making yourself a nice nest I see, I like it!
Glad your doing good Rob. Stay warm!
Keep them coming man good to hear from you ☝️👍👌
You're going to make it Rob, a warriors spirit runs through you. I know because it takes one to know one. Hang tight,....you have people who will make sure you make it.
Looking good man! You got it going with tent and the heater.. And now a roof :)
We got a buncha snow from the same storm glad your well
Stay safe mate glad to see you have a heat source 👍
Any way to use two tarps, use zip ties to fasten them together, and put that over your whole setup? You could use poles to make them higher and every so often knock off excess snow
I have a few tarps and zipties. I haven’t tied tarps together though. I like that idea. Thanks!
@@RobTheNomad Use brown ones or camouflage ones-less visible from a distance. You’re welcome!
@@charliesnarky9726 All of my tarps now are the brown ones. Green bungees.
Hell yeah good to see you doing good bro, keep your head up bro and keep moving!
Stay Active + Stay Strong Brother
Bless Up
Stay safe and warm. This storm was no joke here in Ohio.
Damn you snow!!!! What was the death toll in Ohio? Lol
Hey Maggie! Yeah still going! I can’t wait until it starts warming up! It’s going to be so nice!
Hope that last stick you put up over the tent roof don't rip a hole in it from the weight of the snow and ice. I thought I saw a small piece of branch nub hanging down.
I have stuff to cut those off. That was a 15ft tree by the way 😎. But thank you! You definitely have to watch for those, and they’re everywhere!
Yeah I think I’m done with NY. And definitely wouldn’t want to go near NYC. Thank you though!
I completely understand I have 13 more years to go before I can retire and get out of N.Y.
Glad your warmer now.. That storm was no joke! Keep up your great videos Rob.
looks like a nice set up . that snow will help keep your heat in . pack it up around your walls . leave it on your roof as much as you can . not only will it help keep you warm it will help you blend in and hide from prying eyes . you can cook on that little buddy heater with a little rigging cans of soup or a small pan . just make sure you have it nice and stable . but yeah you can cook on it . i would be more worried about them candles . dont go to sleep with them on .
I learned that when I accidentally fell asleep and set my shoes on fire.
@@RobTheNomad lol.
Just a suggestion, get some pallets to put your ten on top of. To keep yourself off the ground.
Thank you! The candles won’t warm up a tent, but when done right they put out a lot of heat. Just get close to warm up.
Great to see you rob! Keep it up, that’s a great setup
Hey Rob, Im glad your doing alright. Hang in there my man.
Great job with the shelter Rob. Glad you are staying relatively warm and dry. = )
Thank you for sharing... stay safe .🙏🏽
Was wondering how you were. Thank you for the update
In winter you can see through the trees and see it's all a few yards off a main road
Only if you’re really looking.
I think It would be hard to leave after spending so much time improving your dwelling. I enjoy watching your journey. Good job with it.
Yeah this place, especially with hundreds of thousands of people who have also seen it now, it’s part of me now.
For what you have scrounged around and found it’s looking pretty good. Stay safe
Merry Christmas Rob! hope your doing alright and staying warm dude.!
Hey Rob good to see you. Your tent looks cosy and warm. God bless. 🙏
Be well .👍🙏✌️
hot tents are an awesome invention for cold weather camping/living...there's actually a channel, called Far North Bushcraft, him and his wife show how to make one with tarps! I actually built my own sheet metal wood stove with a metal chimney to use outside when I became homeless last winter. keep your head up rob! ✌️
As an Australian I couldn't imagine living outside with all of that snow. I've been to New York and I loved it.
You must have been north of the Catskills..I live in the Catskills and it was a mix of sleet and snow. Awesome video man I'm glad that I found your page bud!
Thank you! Yeah I’m right in the Lake Ontario lake effect bands.
Thanks for an update. Glad to know you are well.
Good job, Rob👍🇺🇸
That’s some nice bushcraft
At least the snow keeps surroundings nice and clean.. Although thats easy for me to say inside my warm house...
No worries. And it’s clean without the snow too!
I wasn’t worried about you at all. I went through the same storm. Such is life..
Put tealight candles in a clay pot upside-down on a saucer look up cornish heater very old and clever way of heating a room
Yeah I may get some pots soon. I already use tealights and made something for them to go in. It puts out a decent amount of heat
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.
