Those two lenses look very interesting. I really like that they are par-focus and that you can adjust the backfocus. Would love to test them to see if that's what I'm looking for. Thanks for the video and the base information about them!
Hi there EMBE, hope all is well! You really have to use them your self to make an opinion. I really think that they are really great for anybody doing cinematic videos. Hope all is good with you!
Arber, in the broadcasting World that I live in, that flange adjustment is called back focussing. It is standard on all broadcast lenses which are almost always zooms. Back focussing is always checked as soon as a lens is attached. The tolerances in the mount can be a little off between even the same make and model of several lenses and even the same camera bodies yet alone all the possible combinations of differing bodies and lenses. All broadcast zooms are par-focal but it would be the last freelance job I would ever get if I forgot to back focus on a job especially if it was live. If these lenses perform optically to the level of their build quality they could be very interesting for me especially as a compensation if I decide to hold off on the S1H for the time being and I start to hear rumours of A GH6 with that newly announced Sony MTF sensor. Plus, it is my guess that a global shutter will come to MTF way before a full frame video mirrorless, then these lenses would be a worthy investment! Really looking forward to the real review but it was nice with this teaser!🤣🙏🏾
Hi there! Hope all is good! Thanx for the valuable insight! I really appreciate your knowledge that you always share! ✌️ So you are also thinking of the SH1, that camera looks crazy good! But as you say its so hard to with all these options. Im going to test out the SH1 really soon so a review will soon be out! Have a great day! Best wishes to you my friend!
Hi Arber, I hope all is well with you and family too. I really appreciate the content that you are putting out on your own and Voostore’s channel! Reason being, is that it is not only spec based but you show that you think about the ergonomics and handling that a camera and lens combination needs so that the tool becomes a natural extension of the creators mind rather than something that one has to fight or compromise with to get the image one wants. We in broadcast have seen many of the technical fads that are now available to the masses many years ago. We tried Fuji broadcast lenses that had better point autofocus than the BMP4K or the GH5 almost twenty years ago. We have tried expensive attachments to make most hand held lenses stabilised fifteen years ago. Our excellent 88, 92 100 x zoom lenses from Canon have had inbuilt stabilisation for many years yet we hardly ever use that feature. When it comes to getting the image especially LIVE it is only equipment that works time and time again and is a reliable as possible that matters. So even though autofocus is amazing today, we cannot afford to let the camera make a focus mistake when a the 100 meter World champion crosses the line, we cannot allow the image stabilisation lag when we need a quick pan or not stop immediately when we have finally composed our frame, or cameras that have bugs and can shut off without warning. The bottom line is that many others just go with the hype and glam factor of the new specs but you have another approach that keeps me interested in your content and as I have said before, you get hold of gear that appeals to me and saves me a whole lot of testing time! Thanks😂👍🏾🙏🏾
Thank you very much for the overview! I am looking forward to more videos regarding these lenses... With that said I am planning to pick up the bmpcc 4k but I am having trouble deciding on whether or not to use a speedbooster. I like the idea of using native mount lenses such as the DZO cine lenses as I would rather not alter the image with the extra glass. However I am not sure how much field of view I will lose at equivalent focal lengths. Is it a dramatic difference? Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe depth of field may be more of an issue? Cheers, Greg
Get the speedbooster. The image is phenomenal. And you can use a wide range of full frame and APS-C ef glass. You get shallower depths of field and extra light on the sensor so you dont need to push the iso as high.
@@daletidy. - I do indy narrative work - for myself. I have the black magic pocket 4k - would you lean towards one of these lenses or say the sigma 12-35 with the metabones? THanks.
Hey. help me. when I rotate the zoom focus, I hear a sound in the form of a click and the zoom ring does not reach the end. what do you think is the problem? I can throw a video. Where can I send you a video so you can see it clearly?
Since they are 2.9 hopefully they are sharp wide open. I love my BMPCC4K but seems that s35 and full frame is becoming the future and more affordable every day, so I am curious how long MFT mount is going to continue.
Hi there! Well we would say yes and no. Full frame will always need full frame lenses. So for size and portability the MFT system will always have its place. Its really nice that the price of the cameras is coming down but many of the lenses have gone up instead. We can't really see that the MFT mount will disappear anytime soon.
There is a space for differing formats för differing needs. Video full frame has arrived for the masses but it is not the end point. The Panasonic S1H is the first hybrid camera that offers a more all round video package than their own GH5 yet because of that huge full frame through-put it had to sacrifice the rolling shutter performance. So the present and future MTF sensors still have an advantage over full frame for high end features and easier processor performance to handle smaller files and the obvious advantages in heat handling. Just like the high end smartphones with their tiny sensors and global shutters can produce fantastic video performance for their size and convenience. MTF still has some life in it yet for some!😉🙏🏾
Every platform has its distinct advantages . Sony is still producing and selling camcorders with 1” sensors to working professionals. How long have people been touting the demise of those? MFT has distinct advantages over s35 and FF sensors, one of which is that virtually any lens ever made can be adapted to it. Its not going anywhere.
I was waiting for something like this. Specially for the price. Is there any way that I can test them? Are this lenses mm changes because of the crop sensor or they are actual a 10-24 and 20-70? Thanks.
Im excited about these lenses although I’m not entirely sure Im willing to part with $2k for one. At that point you’re approaching the price of cn-e and cp.2 lenses. Yes they’re fixed focal length and not explicitly for m43, but they’re tried and true in the field and I know exactly what the resale value will be. If the company were more established I’d be more comfortable with the price. I’d like to see it between $1500-$1700. But thats just my personal opinion. Cheers

Flange-focal distance does not change. The adjustment you are showing is for back-focus, which is something entirely different.
Does these Lenses work with Auto Focus?

Awesome! Thanks. What about resale price?
www.voosestore.com/se/objektiv/dzofilm/ but you if you are outside Sweden you take away the 25% VAT.
Hi, great review! In regards to the concerns you had with these production models have they resolved the issues as of February 2020? Thanks 😎👍
how come you have to have these lenses before everyone else?
Arber - have you tried putting the 20-70 on yer moza air 2? I have the moza and the BMCP4K and was wondering how it balances. merci
So what feedback did you give to DZOFilm?
Please can you tell which cage, base plate, etc you are using???
Hi there! Everything here is from Tilta. Here are the links: www.voosestore.com/sok/Tilta

Would love to know how these handle breathing. Thanks!
Apparently there is almost no focus breathing (read that on B&H)

mm don't change. But to answer your question, 20-70mm on the Pocket 4k is roughly equivalent to 37-129 on a full frame camera.
How do I film in slow motion on bmpcc4k or is that done in post?
use 60 fps or better 120 fps when recordeing, then in post create a 24 fps timeline and interpret the footages
Hi ! Nice video ! I have 2 questions.. Does it have any variable ND filters for this lens and where in internet i can buy this lens ? Thank you guy !

Hi! The 20-70mm cost $1599 and the 10-24mm $1799usd if you live outside of Europe . So the prices are already pretty close to what you're asking:)

The par focal feature is great. but too much money to invest in mft lenses.
To expensive for a under $2000 cine zoom lens that is parfocal and almost doesn't breathe?!? It's the same price that a lot of photo lenses. Come on.
I use the G9 camera, does this have autofocus?

2500 $$$$ hell no
Do you know of something cheaper with same or similar quality?
