      Many thanks, been searching for "how to get rid of sciatica" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Venayden Wanillian Method - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got cool success with it.

    I had horrible back pain for a week, to the point I couldn't even get out of bed. I stumbled upon this video and another that you posted. I was extremely skeptical that this could help at first, but tried it anyway. The first day I did it all of the pain went away almost instantly, the only thing left was slight pressure. The second day I did it, all of the pressure went away completely. All I can say is Thank You!! I'm going to continue to watch these, and do them daily, because not only has all the pain went away but they make me feel 10 times better in general.

    A a Chiropractor I encourage you to perform this stretch weekly to open your Lower back and Hip. You will increase your bodies performance greatly. Good job Jen!

    I am a dancer and recently I have suffered from lower back pain because of the jumps and leaps that I do. After doing this stretching routine twice, 80% of my back pain was gone. This is amazing!

    As a 72 year old man, I had a server sciatica caused by long time sitting in front of computer. The pain came in when I sit or drive. Thanks to this very helpful video, I followed for several month, the pain has been gone. I still do it Monday - Friday. Very helpful, thanks, Jen!

    I'm in tears right now because absolutely nothing has helped so much with my pain as the minutes I spent doing these stretches! I've had 2 epidurals, physical therapy, traction, narcotics and this surpasses them all in terms of relief! THANK YOU! I am so glad I found you today!

      thewooflingdiva that's the truth, this has helped me abundantly. wow, amazing how small exercises can ease pain in comparison to the drugs that claim to help. I rather become dependent on exercise than medicine, respectively.

    I’m a injured Iraqi veteran who’s experiencing second hand injury and after my first stretch tonight I feel less pain than before but I know I have a long long way to go before I can accomplish the stretch fully. Thank you.

    I liked the relaxing music and that you didn't rush through the stretches. One yoga instructor rushes you through a bunch of stretches while talking super fast, with house music playing in the background. Thank you for being the opposite of that.

    Jen! I just wanted to say I suffer from sciatic nerve pain and lower back pain. I am a horse trainer so as you can see that be a problem. My massage therapist told me to try yoga.. I'm so busy I was like how do I get to a class. DUH I can do In my own home.... Started getting up VERY early and found you!!!! I am so in love with your videos! I AM NOT FELEXABLE never have never have been even when very fit. Ive gained 20 lbs since married.. Let myself go at 38 its all just a battle lol So I'm trying to take charge of my body again! YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION! I never enjoyed yoga.. Thinking of my day, errands... life.. what I needed to do.. NOW I own my own mat.. lol cut off the lights in the living room and practice! I feel a difference all over and am even getting more flexible! THANK YOU!!!!! I have done several times of your videos but really sticking to back pain. I want to check out weightloss though asap! Thanks!

    Jen... Last year I got bucked off a horse and broke my left femur up by my hip. I have a rod going from my hip down through the femur to my knee. Also, another rod going from the break area into the ball that rides in my hip joint. They are tied together with a cable.
    After three months I seemed to be recovered until one day I awoke with a terrible pain in what I thought was the break area. Went back to the doctor and had xrays. Nothing out of the ordinary. He said it was healed. For the next seven months I was back on a cane and the pain was an eight out of ten most days.
    My PT said she thought it might be sciatica and that I should look on the internet for some exercises. That's where I found you. I followed your lesson on reliving the pain of sciatica and in just three days my pain level dropped to four out of ten. Now, two weeks later the pain level is down to possibly two. Some days it's at one.
    So, I want to thank you for your help in getting me back to a normal life. Feeling really good these day.

    I couldnt perform the second or third poses a month ago but ive been working on my hips and glut stretches every day and I surprised myself tonight. I can now do these stretches. I will continue with these stretches and see if my sciatica pain decreases. Thanks Jen.

      Lovely Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you tried - Proutklarton Enjoy Playing Plan (do a google search)? It is a good exclusive product for relieving back pain in just 16 minutes without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend Sam after many years got cool results with it.

      I agree 100% with you comment. I'm an office/work from home employee and this changed my life since 2013 (I was seriously thinking of having a surgery as one day I couldn't wake up from my bed due to the pain) I also have noticed gaining more flexibility in my day to day life or during my amateur muay thai trainings. However whenever I stop practicing the stretches more than a week the pain and tightness comes back. So as Jen says: we have to practice the stretches as often as possible. I guess these are lifetime stretches to keep. I can't thank Jen enough

    Thanks Jen, I'm an ex h.s. gymnast but daily life stresses of work and family have slowly worn down this 52 year old body; overweight, achy and tired. Just wanted to thank you for this video.     Thank you for the stretching tips. I have a herniated disc in my lower back so I'm always looking for new ways to help relieve the pain. I'm not very flexible in my lower body so these stretches hurt and aren't easy to do for me, but I know how important it is to do them! This is definitely going into my favorites.

    I do a lot of weight lifting most days of the week. For a few months i've started having lower back pain only when I did back squats. I'm not even sure if "pain" is the correct word but it didn't feel right and it was very uncomfortable. I got this feeling of tightness/mild pain even when I was sitting on a chair. I took a month off from squats but after that month it was kind of the same issue. I started doing the stretches in this video and I felt instant relief. The last two stretches she shows helps big time. I diagnosed myself with tight glutes and hamstrings and have been doing these stretches plus a few others. My squat is almost back to normal now. To the bodybuilders/powerlifters out there, don't underestimate the importance of stretching!

      This works for me: Place one foot on a chair, keeping the other leg straight. Bend over until your chest touches the knee of the foot on the chair. Keep your chest on the elevated leg as you slowly back the other leg away from the chair. Hold your stretch for 20 to 30 seconds. This stretch gives good back pain exercise without equipment. Hope it helps!

    There is no doubt in my mind that these exercises can have enormous benefit, but, Jen, you may have no idea how impossible it is for most sufferers of sciatica to even get close to most of the positions you advise!

    8 months of debilitating pain and I finally searched up some yoga (and I already love psychetruth) I've did this sequence for 4 mornings in a row minus the pigeon lol it has reduced my pain by over 95%!!! AMAZING!

    Thank you very much for this video! I have been practising these stretches for some weeks now (along with the other stretches for back) and if at first i could not even do the strech 2 (did it with a lot of effort) today i just did the pigeon by leaning over completely! i feel so good and back pain is really gone.

      I do have a problem though... I cannot do the first pose very well. I cannot lean over too much without curling my back, even if i can do the pigeon totally leaned over. Why is that?

    Tried these workouts and felt instant back relief in the second stretches, although every other part of my body was confused as I dont excersise at all lol.... for a 21 year old with daily back pain I sure hope this really wprks trying to get on the best diet I can and find stretches that I can do to help the pain, hoping this really works.

      reg shovelworth​ lol no but my lower actually at the end of my neck like the top of the spine naturally comes with a hump in between the shoulders so yeah how would that work also I have heavy back packs

      Heavy backpacks caused me a lot of backpain in my early twenties specifically sore mid-back muscles. I started taking all my college textbooks in a little suitcase on wheels. Wishing you healing soon.

      Bad news I guess. My MRI showed a herniated disc L5 that is pinching my sciatic nerve giving me the pain on my leg so I will need surgery to cut the bone pressing on the nerve itself, so in other words I'm screwed!....lol
      And I have no cartilage in my L5-S1 disc so basically is bone on bone.
      So even if my nerve issue is fixed I will still have tightness in my lower back because of the bone on bone L5 disc.
      They said maybe further in future I may need surgery to fix my bone on bone disc, when I get a little older. I'm only 40 now.....
      And still I need to wait 3 more weeks from today 3/24/16 for the pinched nerve surgery... I already been in pain for 3 weeks now 3 more to wait.....grrrrr
      My buttcheak doesn't hurt as much but my calf, top of my feet, under it and big toe is always in pain with like needless like symptoms.
      But thanks for the video but for I have to be careful how I stretch. .

      I tried her back pain stretching exercises for the first time and half way through I felt stomach pain, I realized my tension had left my back and shoulders and concentrated on my stomach; then, I started crying and slowly the stomach pain and I felt so relieved and pain-free! It's amazing what tension does to your body! I'll using her videos for sure!

      your young, just listen to your body, stretch good and if u work out be smart and work out light more reps, heavy can hurt you if doing it wrong. I'm 40 and I was having lower back pain for about 10 years because of throwing my back out shoveling snow. My L5 disc gave out and herniated and pinched my sciatic nerve.
      I had surgery 5 weeks ago now. All they did was clean the herniated disc and release the pinched nerve. I probably will still have lower back pain but I'm hoping I can work through it.. My L5 disc has no cartilage so is bone on bone... praying for supernatural healing on that.
      I feel good just my nerves on left feet are acting all crazy it feels like needles pinching through the skin..Is all because of the sciatic nerve being pinched for son long. That would take time to be healed.. But I guess I'm back to work as of June 6 Doctor said......😂😂
      I hope I didn't scared you.. You be fine you still growing.... Blessings

      +bruceliem Just try the first one. It's about as easy as it gets and helps you to move on to the 2nd exercise . Once you can feel that stretch , then progress to the 3rd. Sometimes on the pigeon, it is hard to find the nerve or muscle that is being stretched, but when you find it, you think, I got it!

      It will take a while to regain mobility. Your back needs time and attention to heal. A good chiro or PT can help...most importantly, you need to break the cycle of pain.

    i started with lower back pain that i felt was normal since ive delt with it for about 10 years, and finished the video with no lower back pain.
