There was an article posted to the Doctor Who website following this episode (but before P.S. was released). A newspaper article about author Amelia Williams by staff reporter Sarah-Jane Smith. It contains: "Although she had no biological children. Amy and her husband adopted a little girl they found living on the streets of New York. Her name was Melody, & they raised her not only with love, but in luxury for within months of arriving in New York City, the Williamses had already made their fortunes. Young Melody was black while her adoptive parents were white - when this caused consternation in '70s New York. Amy and Rory dispatched any critics quickly and ruthlessly."
I always deduced River wasn't too upset because we don't know exactly where this is in her timeline, so for her she might believe she'll see them again
I always saw Rivers reaction was because she was being strong for the Doctor. Whilst he was grieving, she was protecting the Doctor from the danger that was still around.
in case you`re still confused about River, this was the Doctor`s last time seeing Amy&Rory, but its not River`s last time seeing her parents. As River says at the end "I´ll tell Amy to write an afterward for you". She and the Doctor have different timelines and she can travel back to NYC at another through time w the vortex manipulator. In reality so could the Doctor but he doesnt like endings and creating fixed time means there are reasons it should happen, e.g. it could potentially be good to have Amy&Rory living in NYC in 1969 when we know a baby River regenerates and needs parents to raise her until she can travel to Ledworth in the 1990`s ;) River`s encouragement at the end for Amy to follow Rory to the past confirms to us that River knows they`ll be fine and this is what they were meant to do.
We all cried when we watched this episode. And again at your reaction! But that's why we watch great reactors, the vicarious pleasure of seeing others feel the same emotions we felt and feeling it all over again (one reason at least). This is one of the great emotional episodes for Doctor Who reactors and always anticipated by us viewers. More to come!
To be fair based on River saying she has to give the manuscript for Melody Malone to Amy, so it can be published + River's vortex manipulator being more of a motorbike than a TARDIS, means River could visit Amy and Rory whenever she wanted, but the Doctor couldn't, due to A) the TARDIS not being able to get to the coordinates and 2) the afterword heavily implying the Doctor didnt see them again and once read its fixed. There was a second minisode done during the Lockdown global watch/tweetalongs of 2020-2021 where cast/writers would reveal trivia and film/voice act/write short stories & minisodes to go with them. like it released for a watchalong of The Doctor's Wife from S6, but is connected to this episode, called: Rory's Story (Edit) Link to Rory's story ua-cam.com/video/eVqW4XjZwC8/v-deo.html
Thanks for the link. It got suggested to me on Patreon already, and I will put my reaction to it on Patreon as well. :) Can´t tell you when exactly though, don´t know when I have the extra time to record it :)
I just cried (again) with you Nicole. This is a beautiful, heart breaking episode, featuring amazing performances from the whole cast. And your reactions to this episode were incredible to watch.
You know it’s final the moment she calls him “Raggedy man”. I think River’s not sad because she’s able to see them again. Her timeline runs largely in reverse order to the Doctor’s. But also the Doctor’s pain is more than just loss, it’s also guilt. He’s lost more companions who were under his care. He had failed people after promising to keep them safe.
Something that I think os really cleverly done in this episode is the early reveal of Rory's grave while the doctor mentions that once youve read something it's written in stone. Because looking at it after the fact, I think the line is meant to basically be directed towards us more than Amy. We've read it so it is going to happen now. No matter how many times we think it will just change, it's too late and that's kind of our warning I feel like
In a way though, it's the happiest end for them. Not for The Doctor of course. But they live rest of their lives together, as happy as its possible to be. Memories intact , in a relatively modern era. Many companions would envy it. The silly Sgatue of Liberty aside, which doesn't make sense and is only done for a quick shock, I think this is a great episode and a interesting take on the Angels.
But River knows that Amy and Rory didn't die. She knows that Amy publishes the book. She probably knows that Amy and Rory have a long (and presumably happy) life in New York. She is not as distressed as the Doctor because she hasn't spent as much time with Amy and Rory as the Doctor has (in fact she hasn't spent much time with them at all). Amy and Rory have been almost constant companions to this Doctor. And as much as Amy (and to a lesser extent Rory) want their life to be with the Doctor, so the Doctor wants his life (or at least this regeneration) to be with Amy and Rory. For me, and I guess for River, we didn't see that scene as Amy and Rory dying. Amy is just choosing to live out her life with Rory. Choosing him over the Doctor, choosing him over a life of adventure.
Awww thanks for your nice comment. Yes it was heartbreaking for me as well. And it was much harder to go trough it for the second time, while editing, cause I knew what was about to happen.
2) Fire in the house. Your story with fire was amazing! :) True, I take it more calmly, I had to deal with more serious things and more often, so for me this story was not so scary, I was a little surprised by your concern, although I'm probably just a different person. But on the other hand, psychologists say that you should not belittle other people's problems and anxieties. So I sympathize with you, but at the same time I’m glad that this happened to you and everything ended well, I think this is a useful experience, I’m usually always grateful to fate that it gives the opportunity to experience the experience of a safe catastrophe, as a teaching, so that in cases of future danger to be more prepared to meet critical moments, being stronger. I met people who were not prepared and experienced terrible events for the first time and they literally just lost their heads, after which the story often ended in tears, because they could not reason sensibly. In a sense, you were on an adventure with the Doctor, he lives like this every day and almost never loses his head :) I am very glad that you are doing well, even to be honest, I was a little worried whether there would be a reaction or there would be a long pause, because it is not known how serious a fire can be, so I understood your worries, there was something to worry about, the apartment costs a lot of money. By the way, have you ever told us the name of your cats? :)
I've been looking forward to you reviewing this episode for a long time, because it's so well written, but now I've seen your reaction I feel bad. I know it's sad but such is Doctor Who.... Stick at it - it's much like living through another regeneration. Fantastic stories and adventures to come!!! Not to mention other Doctors!!!
Brilliant episode. Loved your reaction. A combination of the episode and your reaction brought me to tears too. This is another great Moffat episode. (The bastard! LOL) As for River, she needed to be strong while the Doctor was losing it because someone needed to watch the Angel. I think she probably was said but she had to be strong for the Doctor. Also, it may be she will see them again (as she gives May the book to publish). Remember, her timeline is all jumbled up. Finally, while they are her parents, she didn't grow up with them the same way as a normal person. Oh - and she is a psychopath as she says herself!
The first time I watched this I remember thinking, "I'll never love another companion, ever!". I was, of course, wrong. Jamie, Sarah Jane, Sarah Kingdom, Rose, Donna, Amy and Rory...the list goes on. By the way, the writer here was Stephen Moffat who wrote most of series 5 to 10. an excellent but very sad episode for me, one of the best nonetheless. in the house, I don't think River knew Rory was there, after all, she hadn't yet written the book. her reaction in the tardis was, I think, for the doctor's benefit. she held it together for his sake. I may be wrong, but that's how I read this.
There's a (spoiler-free) reddit post titled "I just realised something about River Song's timeline that blew my mind" which explains River's reaction here. I can't link it without my comment getting removed.
Thank you for that recommendation. I already knew about this because people have mentioned it in the comments. And it blows my mind. I love it when things like this happen. And they didn´t even explain it ever, it was just there for fans to put it together. This is the masterclass of writing a storyline, wow, just wow :)
11:46 it’s because regular angels can convert regular statues into weeping angels and then they become alive it’s a really interesting concept that should be more explained in dr who
If there's anyone who would want Amy and Rory to be together, it would be the daughter that made sure they got together in the first place (remember Mels in Let's Kill Hitler). River, who is able to see her parents again with her vortex manipulator, and who has training as a psychopath, is able to keep her emotions together while her husband grieves. I do love how Amy and Rory's marriage impacts their daughter and son-in-law. The parallel dynamics between the two couples is interesting to see. The first thing the Doctor and River do after Rory and Amy's "together or not at all" moment is grab hands as the paradox starts. They face the unknown future together. Yes, the slap part is harsh, but makes a bit more sense when you learn some information later. Until then, remember that River's seen her one job since Let's Kill Hitler as making sure the Doctor stays alive. Anything that might jeopardize that outcome is not something she's okay with.
3) Now about the important. - Story and relationships. The last time I wanted to warn you to be on the half that liked the show, I was really worried about whether you were reacting in the right way. But my friend, who changed my mind about changing the show's mindset, said that I'm overcomplicating things - that in the first place there are no spoilers, so why ask permission? And secondly, she has a person who watches spoilers and she was already warned that in season 5-6 she was more attentive to the non-linearity of the plot, so just tell her. The essence of the importance is that now you should not be more attentive, but separate plots from relationships. If before the relationship and the plot went hand in hand, now it is a separate concept. in episode 1, Amy and Rory were in a quarrel, they ended up in the planet of the Daleks, their relationship was not connected at all to the current plot ... and let the whole world and the plot wait, we are here to find out our relationship! in episode 3 of the cowboys, Amy said to the Doctor - That's what happens to you when you travel alone, without companions you would almost go to execution. in episode 4 there was even more of this, the whole world is threatened by cubes, and the Doctor and Amy are sitting and discussing their relationship in an embrace, which is in no way tied to the plot, about how he rushes to them and how long they have been together and how good they are as a friend friend know. And now we get the 5th episode, which becomes a key one, it is very clear to us why the character did one way or another. This is one of the reasons why the ratings start to fluctuate, we were not warned about this, some people perceive the episode correctly, and some do not. The plot and relationships are now separated and you need to react to them separately, the adventure remains an adventure, and the relationship is already a different world. You can combine these in a react, but in your head, keep this separation in mind. Imagine meeting a stranger who will later become your lover or friend. He is complex, but he attracts you, no matter what adventure you have with him, it will remain an adventure, but you want to get to know him better, why is he like that, what does he love and what does he not, what does he think of you? etc. It is very important for you to know this than what is happening in the district. You will know the relationship of a person and you will try to remember them always, throughout your life, and your adventure was just one short event and moment. Those who understood such a new concept, a change in the style of the series, were more satisfied than those who did not understand and waited only for an interesting plot, not noticing that the series presented them with another interesting detail. Yes, this series is multifaceted and complex, I will look forward to your new reactions. PS: Sometimes you notice this separation and sometimes you don't. I also really liked your separate reaction in episode 4, how you spotted the relationship between Amy and the Doctor here, when they hugged at night, you were able to separate it from the plot and talked separately. You loved the way they talked about their lives, it was heartbreaking that it felt so good, they just needed to talk, that they finally shared their feelings and talked to each other. It really was an important moment, it was nice to hear your reaction to this particular moment with their relationship. The rating was low, everyone was waiting for a cool story! But you were able to separate from the second half of the audience and see not only the plot in this episode, but also warm feelings and the ordinary life of the characters, so you liked the episode. :)
Yes, Doctor Who is always a ride of emotions. Happy one moment and super sad the next is how Doctor Who rolls. Never was a big fan of the use of the Statue of Liberty but everything else was fantastic. You watched the short right after watching this episode but it was YEARS after the Manhattan episode aired that it was first seen. Ended up being just as emotional.
Why I love Doctor Who ? Because this series as the power to fell me in love with their characters and crush my heart during an episode like that. So.. in the end Rory died 8 time during the series. Impressive ! It's sad because the Doctor just basically can just use the Tardis to return in the USA maybe one year before Amy and Rory are stuck in NY, wait and take a bus and see them again, but he still can't because the last page say that he didn't see them again. And with all the paradoxes that the Doctor and co created in New York the city became now instable and one more paradox will destroy the city.. So he really can't.. 😔
Also the doctor doesn't like the vortex manipulator because its very crude time travel. That is why whenever he crossed paths with Captain Jack, he would always disable his vortex.
I think Amy was over traveling with The Doctor at this point. She was traveling more for his sake. How tragic they had to give up the Doctor and their modern lives/family
Outcome: Sorry for the wall of text, I'll be shorter from now on, it's just that there are some things here that I thought were important enough to explain. I won't spoil anything, enjoy watching and I'll be looking forward to your reaction, and yes, I'll be getting ready to send some videos to watch, I think it's time.
River had her husband read about her cleavage, possibly kowing it would be read to her mother.😂 Karen is actually reading the lines of that Afterword, sitting next to Matt on the New York bench. Karen goes straight onto Guardians of the Galaxy. Arthur works on Broadchurch with David Tennant & Olivia Colman.
My apologies if I have translated you incorrectly (je ne parle pas le français!) but I believe what you have written has an error. In "A Good Man Goes to War" the Doctor works out that Melody was probably conceived on Amy and Rory's wedding night. I think there is a strong implication that this occurred on the Tardis, especially as we see them leave their wedding celebrations when it's dark, and it was a conception on the Tardis while it was travelling in the time vortex that made Melody "half Time Lord". Their honeymoon on the spaceship seen in "A Christmas Carol" would then have taken place after this.
Yeah, Moffat was great at character arcs. Building stuff up and paying it off... Chibnall.... Well, screw it, I'm not talking about this era of the show anymore... Moving on.... Also can we not get Moffat back on the show? Please?? I know I am a fanboy, but I would love it so much, even if it was for just one episode....
1) Why can't the Doctor bring Amy and Rory back? Foreword: I've had a tough week. Today I had a dream that I wake up and want to write a comment after the reaction, and then I see that you have already put likes and read everything and won’t read more, but I didn’t have time to send a comment ... I was scared by these likes that I woke up early in the morning and let's rush to write answers before the likes appear. What a horror, the fear of the appearance of likes, hahaha :) So, Amy and Pond got into the past, the Doctor can fly to them in the past, yes, but not, because there will be consequences, why: Remember the fallen ship with the angels and the extinct two heads of Oplani, how they died out? There were many angels, they sent all the inhabitants to the past, the only chance to save their kind is their future offspring, but the future offspring were also sent to the past, they began to meet each other, overpopulation and the like, until there was no one left who could live in the future, the beautiful killing of civilization and the Oplani have become extinct. The Doctor has a ban on time travel to Gallifrey, he can't get into the past of Gallifrey before the destruction of the planet, now for the Doctor it's not only Gallifrey, but also Amy and Rory. The doctor said how dangerous paradoxes are, but if the first time they took a chance and created a paradox, then after the second time, the return will create a paradox within the paradox, the consequences are catastrophic, I don’t think they agree to erase New York and the inhabitants, just for the return of two beloved people. This is why you can't do it! Why New York? The angel took revenge, returned the companions to the place that was erased by the paradox! If the doctor returns to something that no longer exists, then it means it exists! And this causes a double paradox, a stronger one and will take not only the house of the Angels, but the whole awake New York. The surviving angel knew about this, they all became part of this event, and the grave only strengthened this line of those two more. Is it the Doctor's fault for bringing his team back to the Tardis? I doubt. The heroes were in their time stream and in the park, I think most likely Rory would still have been waiting for this fate, he went for coffee and the angels were in the present time anyway they would have taken him. The doctor survived a difficult break ... He answered Rory's father that some of his companions left, some he left himself, and some died. What the angel did, he basically did three things at the same time, loved ones died, they voluntarily left him, and the doctor left them, poor Doctor. In short, in simple terms: Amy and Rory's timeline, like Gallifrey, must be shared with the Doctor and the TARDIS, they must live their own lives in their own timeline, and the Doctor in his, so they cannot reunite. They live in the same universe, but their time scale has been torn apart from each other. It's like if your real friend goes so far away that you probably won't see him again.
Awww I´m so sorry that you had this bad dreams, I hope you had a lot of good ones in the meantime. :) Thank you so much for the comment and for explaining all that stuff. :) It was a fantastic episode and I´m glad I´m not the only one who loved it, and also Amy and Rory. I still miss them :)
Like the others already told you, it was so hot in Germany that day. So I thought the only way I can possibly survive this reaction, is to put some water onto my hair. :)
Not a bad episode but one that highlights moffats flaws as a writer... ie silly plot twist with statue of liberty, and poorly written ending/explanation as to why the dr cant just go back in time to visit or pick up amy and rory.....
everything is simple, time is not different time, it is the past and the future, which simultaneously occurs with the present. They now have to live a separate life, they have been separated! And if you intervene, it will cause a paradox, at least because they know about the grave.
@user-wx1qz8hf7x where did it say that? He stated clearly in the episode new york was a fixed point, not them, you are making things up to try to fix the many holes in the plot!
He can't visit the previous version of Gallifrey for the same reason, Gallifrey is closed to him. Where is it said? It was talked about in Rory's bed, his life will be like this for the rest of his life, and he missed Amy, but they set up a paradox, now they're part of the angels event. the surviving angel has re-created the situation again, but the second paradox of the world will not survive. Read my long article. there are many factors why this is not possible, the grave is one of the easiest to explain, if they save him, then the grave will never exist, but from the grave and they will know it, this is a paradox, given that they knew a lot from the book where Rory is now and the world has survived this one paradox, but if you continue, then you are making a paradox within a paradox, this cannot be done!

@user-wx1qz8hf7x no, I'm sorry but this is fan fiction to try to explain the holes... the doctor (the main character as written by the showrunner) clearly said to Amy at the end that new york was fixed not amy or Rory. The doctor. There are also many many times in the history of the show that the Dr has visited past people in different places (or the same) in classic and new who.... its just lazy writing (like the statue if liberty)... RTD dis it so much better with rose, u really believed he couldn't see her again because of the clever parallel world set up....
Yeah River songs non emotional reaction to her parents death is just another example of why I dislike the fact they made her Amy and Rory's daughter, the doctor was broken and distraught and river literally said 'doesn't matter'....also come to think of it why didn't Amy and Rory not tell Brian about he has a grandchild already? Again another time Melody pond is forgotten, just like asylum of the daleks... And I thought Amy couldn't have any children? Or anymore children? Again what was the point of that sub plot and the beginning of the season? River says she will travel with the doctor, but she doesn't.. She tells us she does but we never see it so its pretty empty dialogue to be honest. River does come across selfish most of the time, obsession with the doctor and no one else really matters to her. I think to be honest moffat got tired of the whole Melody pond story and just didn't care anymore, that's how it comes off. Yeah she doesn't have proper dialogue with the doctor about her parents, almost like she's a non character who just turns up to flirt and make jokes and is just there because moffat has a Alex Kingston obsession..in fact the only proper conversation the doctor and river have had is when she was about to die in the library and the doctor didn't know what the hell she was talking about😁. I know no one will agree with me but the whole Melody pond thing just didn't work for me at all. How an angel can be the statue of liberty and be able to move with all the millions of people in new York not looking at it boggles the mind (that's a nitpick), plus the statue isn't made of stone..its copper. Amy and Rory's death didn't hit me that much as I feel they should have left last season so it wasn't so impactful for me. Bringing the angels back lessens their impact in my opinion and they start to lose their mystery and presence. Its an OK episode, but it just doesn't set off the emotions for me.
i thought that too at first about river but then i when u go back and watch how she acts with her wrist broken trying to put on a brave face to show shes in no pain i think thats what shes doing here. as she said "never let him see u age, and Never let him see u in pain". thats probably just moffat getting the episode done fast but i guess thats just how it is.
No, River is just stronger than the Doctor. She’d rather her parents got to live out their days together, that’s why she emotionally tells amy that yes it’s her best shot, she wants them together. She’s also visibly emotional she just holds it in more than the Doctor it’s silly to pretend she doesn’t get upset. Amy can’t have more children, they adopt in America. Melody isn’t forgotten about either in asylum of the daleks? They don’t have a normal relationship their kid is gone, Rory will never be a proper dad and it’s all he’s ever wanted, hence Amy splitting with him when she finds out she can never give him any children
@@obiwankenobi687 she's stronger than the doctor, she can fly the tardis better, she can go anywhere and do anything without explanation she can handle her emotions better, wow she's good at everything isn't she? And people call Rey a Mary sue...... Why not just call the show 'river who' at this point? Make the lead character look weak and pathetic by crying his eyes out and showing emotion over losing his best freinds and River, who is actually related to them, be cool and collected, yeah that's the way to go😂. The doctor mentions that Amy and Rory are her parents and she says and I quote 'doesn't matter'...even if she is stronger willed to show NO emotion at all is so strange and bizzare... Even the audience cry and are more devastated over a fictional character! How can Amy and Rory adopt? Thought they were stuck in that hotel, the angel farm and can't leave? Plus if adopting a kid is an option why did Amy split from Rory? They can have a kid through adoption so all is not lost, but she acts like its the end of the world. You talk things out like adults first right? Melody is a character that is written for the doctors benefit not the other characters and she shares no chemistry what so ever with Amy and Rory throughout these seasons, again why make her their daughter? Just be a character associated with the Doctor, and there, no complications or anything
@@phantomsidious2934 yeh the crux of all your comments are usually that you’re very over the top. Nowhere is she made out to be better than the doctor in every way and good at everything. Neither can she do anything with no explanation I’m not sure what show you’re watching. She simply in that moment didn’t want to ball her eyes out in front of everyone, she was being strong that’s what’s grief does she’ll let it out another time. As for ‘it doesn’t matter’ she’s quite clearly not literally meaning that losing her parents doesn’t matter. Yet again, she’s just not wanting to talk about it, she’s staying strong and moving past it because in that moment of time she believes the doctor needs looking after more than her. Hence the never travel alone and the afterword statement. Where does the doctor look weak and pathetic, literally where? Where did I say rey was a Mary sue and what’s the problem with River staying strong and not crying. She by no means stays cool, you can quite clearly tell she’s devastated she’s just holding it in. Again, this complaint seems very bizarre. She quite clearly shows emotion. And no, you need to watch the episode again they’re not stuck in the hotel. The Paradox killed the angels except one. The survivor sent Amy and Rory back in time. No angels any more as the paradox killed them. They’re just stuck in the past

There was an article posted to the Doctor Who website following this episode (but before P.S. was released). A newspaper article about author Amelia Williams by staff reporter Sarah-Jane Smith. It contains:
"Although she had no biological children.
''And what is the alternative, me standing over your grave?'' - The Doctor to Amy.
insert sad face emoji :)
I always deduced River wasn't too upset because we don't know exactly where this is in her timeline, so for her she might believe she'll see them again
I always saw Rivers reaction was because she was being strong for the Doctor. Whilst he was grieving, she was protecting the Doctor from the danger that was still around.
Yeah. She protected him from the angel
in case you`re still confused about River, this was the Doctor`s last time seeing Amy&Rory, but its not River`s last time seeing her parents.
Thank you for clarifying :)
I´m glad you´re enjoying my misery :D Jokes aside, I know what you mean, it´s the same for me watching Buffy reactors :)
There was a second minisode done during the Lockdown global watch/tweetalongs of 2020-2021 where cast/writers would reveal trivia and film/voice act/write short stories & minisodes to go with them. like it released for a watchalong of The Doctor's Wife from S6, but is connected to this episode, called: Rory's Story

You´re welcome. :)
This episode doesn't get any easier when you re-watch it. I cry just as much as the first time!
River is definitely sad you can tell. She just wanted her parents to be together, she’s just stronger than the Doctor and doesn’t break down.
She's maybe 14 years old here
When Rory and River arrived at the house, she didn't know about the book or what will happen
GOd, this still hits me in the feels, especially in the bonus mini-episode special where Rory's dad finds out the truth
There has never ever been a writer who has made me cry as much as Steven Moffat. Damn the man.
Agreed.. couldn't wait for him to go!
Not on Dr. Who at least. I know one man though who made me cry even more. Joss Whedon with Buffy. But Moffat is a close second for sure :D

Awww thanks for your nice comment. Yes it was heartbreaking for me as well. And it was much harder to go trough it for the second time, while editing, cause I knew what was about to happen.
When Rory is taken for the final time , you jumped with surprise same as us all. And cried, same as us all, raggedy man goodbye
Lovely seeing your excitement for the episode at the beginning, but very heart breaking knowing what was to come :(
Thank you :) I was very exited in the beginning indeed. Not so much at the end anymore thoguh :D :D
This is gonna a very emotional episode. I hope she has tissues ready.
2) Fire in the house.
Your story with fire was amazing! :)
True, I take it more calmly, I had to deal with more serious things and more often, so for me this story was not so scary, I was a little surprised by your concern, although I'm probably just a different person.
In a sense, you were on an adventure with the Doctor, he lives like this every day and almost never loses his head :)
I am very glad that you are doing well, even to be honest, I was a little worried whether there would be a reaction or there would be a long pause, because it is not known how serious a fire can be, so I understood your worries, there was something to worry about, the apartment costs a lot of money.
By the way, have you ever told us the name of your cats? :)
Thank you for your kind comment :)
Thank you so much :) Yes this episode is brilliant and so cruel at the same time. Damn Steven Moffat :D :D
Thank you for the explanation :)
"P.S." was actually released online by the BBC in October 2012. :-)

Yeah that was a rollercoaster of emotions. This wasn´t an easy episode, at all for me.
Wow Rory died 8 times? That´s a lot :D :D
@@nicologikreactsyes ! I think Amy as too a good number of death but I didn't count them !

Thank you for your kind comment. I´m glad you enjoyed the reaction. :)
Also the doctor doesn't like the vortex manipulator because its very crude time travel. That is why whenever he crossed paths with Captain Jack, he would always disable his vortex.
This why we scream Moffat with such vehemence
Haha I get it now :D :D
This episode is maybe my hardest cry in the entire series 😭😭😭

I think Amy was over traveling with The Doctor at this point. She was traveling more for his sake. How tragic they had to give up the Doctor and their modern lives/family

Their honeymoon on the spaceship seen in "A Christmas Carol" would then have taken place after this.
u should of had your character from the thumbnail crying in the thumbnail that would add a realistic touch to the thumbnail 😂😅
True, would have been great. Still waiting for Midjourney to improve, so something like this will be possible :)

I like Moffats episodes as well. He's one of my most favorite writers of Dr. Who
1) Why can't the Doctor bring Amy and Rory back?
Foreword: I've had a tough week. Today I had a dream that I wake up and want to write a comment after the reaction, and then I see that you have already put likes and read everything and won’t read more, but I didn’t have time to send a comment ... I was scared by these likes that I woke up early in the morning and let's rush to write answers before the likes appear.
What a horror, the fear of the appearance of likes, hahaha :)
So, Amy and Pond got into the past, the Doctor can fly to them in the past, yes, but not, because there will be consequences, why:
Remember the fallen ship with the angels and the extinct two heads of Oplani, how they died out?
Thank you so much for the comment and for explaining all that stuff. :) It was a fantastic episode and I´m glad I´m not the only one who loved it, and also Amy and Rory. I still miss them :)
Why do u look like you sweated 😂
Nicole can't use the air con during recording so it's water to lower her body temperature. There was a heatwave when this was filmed in... June?
Like the others already told you, it was so hot in Germany that day. So I thought the only way I can possibly survive this reaction, is to put some water onto my hair. :)
I hate this show so much [me] you're going to hate it even more in a few seconds🤣🤣cryyyyyyyy
Haha, I´m glad my misery was entertaining for you :D :D
Read my long article.
there are many factors why this is not possible, the grave is one of the easiest to explain, if they save him, then the grave will never exist, but from the grave and they will know it, this is a paradox, given that they knew a lot from the book where Rory is now and the world has survived this one paradox, but if you continue, then you are making a paradox within a paradox, this cannot be done!

they are now cut off in time from each other, having created two lines of life for those living in the same time stream, they cannot be reunited, but live their own lives.
@@reverse7503 true but hiding the pain of breaking your wrist is very different to watching your parents being zapped by evil stone Angel's
