I don't understand every mods for hair say that it replace hair 052 but in my character creation i don t see it and I don't even understand what is hair 052 because there is like 10 haircuts in the game.. i really need help pls
Hi. I would first troubleshoot what you have done so far. Have you followed each step in the tutorial? Step 1 set the mesh quality to ultra is essential to see hair mods in game. Also, make sure the hair mod you chose is for the race and gender you are selecting in character creation. If you did not install the compatibility mods, you will only see the replaced hair mod in the character creation at the beginning of the game, not in the black emporium. I hope this helps.
I know this is 3 years old but I didn't expect you to look that beautiful. A lot of people would say when you get to a black emporium that your game would crash cuz of hair mods.

When this happened to me it was because I was trying to put it in from the desktop. Try opening it from steam.apps and then common in your files instead, or from the files of wherever you downloaded it from.
As of 11/1/2022 with the newest Frosty Manager are you having any trouble loading that Wings hair? The long braid. I cant get it to work for my game at all.
Frosty won’t launch the game for me at all keeps repeating the same error over and over again one or more symbolic links could not be created please retry as admin (which I have a thousand times) CAN ANYONE HELP ME THIS IS FRUSTRATING
To troubleshoot that the first step would be to try and launch the game from frosty with no mods installed. Then if that works, install the mods one by one and launch the game after each mod. So you can see if any of those mods is causing the issue. I hope this helps.

But I am trying to install the enhanced inquisition sliders, but that seems to be outdated. There are now 7 files to choose from with a million pre-requisites listed. How crucial is this mod to make my hair look ok? I'm just worried I'll do it wrong since this step in the tutorial is a bit outdated. I've been trying to get hairstyles for hours now 😂
Sorry for the late reply. YT doesn’t always notify me about new comments :/. I believe that mod is not essential, it mainly helps with avoiding climming issues from other mods. Without it, you will find little annoiances with many hair mods. But you might be OK without it. Worth a try.
I can only guess... Did you have the mods showing before and they just disappeared or are you trying to add them only now? Are you launching the game from the Mod Manager?
@@mevidia4297 yep, I'm sure. I triple checked. Seems it's because I updated to the EA desktop and Frosty doesn't play well with it yet. You have to enable platform launching and choose EA, but then all these wonderful hairs that use custom textures will make the default hairs bald so you then have to choose either all the characters NPC's included are bald or you only use these fancy hairs with default textures and not custom textures.
Where do You see what the actual hairstyle looks like? Been selecting mines just at random until I get something decent lol but i'd like to actually pick prior to download. Thanks for the amazing tutorial
I think it means that one or more of the addons that you are twying to install are not up to date. Try to find out which of the addons is giving the error by installing them one by one (launch the game after installing each addon to find out which one is out of date).
Ok I know this is a year late but question. If I have a mod for a female elf and it takes up slot PC, could I also use that for my female human? Does race not matter as long as you use the correct slot?
Mods are unique per race. If you put a file for the elf race on a human race slot it will not work. You will either not see the mod show in game, or if it does it will do nothing. For example if it is a hair mod, your human will be bold.
This is a pretty unrelated question since it doesn’t deal with the player character’s hair, but I can’t find an appropriate place to ask this. I’m new to modding as a whole and I’m trying to change the hairstyle of cassandra. The mod loads during cutscenes but not during combat. Is that normal or should her appearance be changed throughout?
If you can, I would ask the author of the mod or research that mod specifically in forums. I guess it is a limitation of the mod itself, but I could not tell you if other mods that change NPC appearance work in the same way. Maybe try also a different cassandra apperance mod and see if there is any difference.

Hi Locky Heart. Have you tried installing each mod one at a time and launching the game after each mod to identify whych one does not work? In the video I show the recommanded order for that assuming that you own the black emporium DLC. Also the important step to check the game graphic settings and make sure the hair mesh are on ultra quality.

Every time I try to launch my game into frostymods it doesn’t launch the game, it just pops up my origin account :(

I had a hair mod that just randomly stopped working. No settings changed, no new mods added so no conflicts, it just stopped.
Are you sure the settings didn't change? Sometimes this totally bug-free game decides to reset your graphics.

Double check that you have the mesh setting at Ultra. Mods will not show otherwise.
