A discussion on the importance of both rest and recharging/relaxing. Book a session with me here: www.chrisgpsych.com You can support me here: / asurapsych
I'm currently working a full time job that's fairly physical and adding a day and a half of extra work. Plus 5+ hours of gym and cardio. And the past few weeks I have noticed I'm hitting physical exhaustion, something I haven't had in years. But I've noticed even after giving myself extra time to relax that without me time to recharge I still dont feel back ro baseline and I remember how valuable recharging is. Great points
Great video, very helpful to know there are different types of fatigue. I only knew physical, mental and emotional fatigue. In my case (INTJ, gifted, Asperger, and possible ADHD) I find it super important. Recharging the sensory, mental, emotional batteries can take more time for me, and surely for other people with a neurodivergent profile too, comparing to a typical profile. As another creator said "Sleep doesn't count to recharge an introvert" I love too comparing human functioning with our devices (phone, computer or other objects). The world is at our image, it's help a lot to better understand ourselves. "I go to bed at 3 or 4 in th morning" That's me too actually.
As a grad student, I have to keep thinking long term haha. The grind is real, but I do wonder if I can make it even a little easier for me to reach a rest state.
I found the best way as an Ni dom to recharge and relax is to go in a sensory deprivation float tank for an hour. It is a complete and instantly calming inducing experience.
Is there a cercamstance that calls for more sleep? I tend to sleep more than usual, which keeps me thinking if I need more sleep or am I just used to it?
