    Instead of water I like to do 1-2 herbal tea bags that has a blend of things like (echinacea, fennel, marshmallow root, lemon balm) in a cup of water and let me tell you. Shedding ? I never met her

    I love combining clays, I found that bentonite only was a little too drying. About 1/2 of my mixture is bentonite clay, a 1/3 is rhassoul, and 1/4 is kaolin (got this tip from GreenBeauty). I add about a tbsp of amla powder. My liquid of choice is aloe vera juice, but I also add a tbsp or 2 of ACV and olive oil, and a few drops of peppermint and lavender oil. My hair feels like heavennnn afterwards, and my wash and gos always pop.

    How often do you use your clay wash? Is it stored like a shampoo? What’s the difference ,if any , beyond consistency in a wash and a clay mask? Should you use a wash and a mask in the same wash day?
    Lots of questions but as I’ve expressed in other videos I’m stepping slowly into Ayurveda. I did a clay mask this wash day and loved the results but I can’t seem to find much on frequency or adverse affects. I just don’t want to experience a setback because of ignorance in use etc.
    Thanks for your guidance.

    • @SheReaDelSol
      @SheReaDelSol  3 роки тому +2

      2-4 times a month for a clay wash. It has to be stored in the fridge because there's no preservative. The only difference really is the consistency, but sometimes people add more moisturizing ingredients to a mask. I wouldnt do them both in the same day.

I use the rhassoul/bentonite mix, apple cider vinegar (going to try it rice wine vinegar out of curiosity), áloe juice, coconut water, matcha powder (sometimes hibiscus), and pumpkin seed oil (or some other oil). Add peppermint essential oil because tingles are life. You put me on with the coconut vinegar, have to try that.

    • @afronerderican3529
      @afronerderican3529 3 роки тому +1

      I usually do it twice a month (sometimes 1x per month if I am lazy 😬). Usually the week after I have shampooed (spell check?🤔). I have had issues with eczema/ extreme dryness in my scalp, and have to "reset" my scalp. This helps me. Shampooing more than 2x per month sucks the life out of scalp. It may be different for you though.

    I love this! Can you reuse the concoction you just made, or do you have to remake it everytime?

      It can last in the fridge for (maybe) two weeks, but I would use a preservative to make it last.

    Sodium bentonite clay! I'll look for it! ETA and COCONUT vinegar as a low porosity head!

    Just curious as to what you followed it with. I haven't done a clay wash in so long, you reminded me I have a package of rhassoul under my bathroom sink I completely forgot about! Might have to get back to it!

    Does the coconut vinegar do the same as using aloe vera juice in a clay wash? Or can they be combined?

    Great info! Like you I use DIY clay washes often and I prefer rhassoul clay and I add kaolin clay too because it is very gentle. I’ve never heard of coconut vinegar so I’ll have to try that! I use coconut water for my liquid and it took my clay wash to another level🙌🏽

    hi sherea 🤗
    always here for your DIY videos. this is a great recipe and your hair looks like it really enjoyed it. curls were popping all over the place.
    when i use sodium bentonite clay, i usually mix it with another clay or other dry ingredients (unles im only using a small amount). i find it to be more dense and absorb more liquid than calcium bentonite clay, but its good.
    thanks for another good one 😁👍🏼😁

    • @SheReaDelSol
      @SheReaDelSol  3 роки тому +1

      Yes it definitely absorbs more liquid
