Important tip for who builds in survival and like me is never using creative: build the roof at the same time as you build the magma block platform, otherwise ghasts will start spawning and destroying the platform with fireballs, killing you in the process... Also bring with you a stack of ender pearls and keep them in the hotbar, if you fall they can save you by teleporting to the ground, use them like a water bucket in the overworld.
This farm is amazing, quite a challenge to build it in survival, but is worth every suffering! :)

In the description, for the slabs, 710 is equal to 11 stacks + 6 extra. The solid blocks is 2 stacks + 42 extra to be exact. The magma is 43 stacks + 8 extra. And the walls would be 2 stacks + 10 extra. IF you could fix that it would help people that use the stacked amount to get the right amount, I have made this a couple times and keep forgetting that the magma is 8 more than 43 stacks, so I end up having to go mine more.

I had to get extra blocks yeah... also do you think it's on the right height? I seem to be getting a LOT more pigmen while being 1 or 2 blocks heigher. Then again, some of them don't even die, so I have to kill them manually.
@@CalledStorm28 When you build it the right height the slabs on top should be at the build limit, so double check that you had counted right. Not trying to say you cant count or anything, everyone makes mistakes

This farms works so well that the amount of exp that was on the floor while I was building it started to lag my pc with a i7 7700k and a gtx 1080, its insane, if you start to have troubles with exp on the floor and lag just use the command /kill @e[type=experience_orb] (it is gonna clear the exp orbs on the floor)
Thanks for the farm in one night farming I was able to get 10 STACKS of Gold Blocks and over 400 exp levels!

Just change the settings for shift to toggle, that way your finger won't hurt

quick tip: he was in peaceful so he didnt do this but make the outer shell of the magma blacks then put the slabs down because from my own experience ghasts are rly annoying when your trying to build this so get the slabs down first

For me the piglins like never fall at the rate that is showed in the end and other videos I exactly did the same things and checked it many time. I have also tried to extend the platform to be square. But nothing works pls help
4:05 you have to place 12 magma blocks not 14, they won't align if you place 14. That's a typo there but great tut!

It is a good farm but it isn’t survival friendly because every time I get to the top of the farm there is just magma cubes and ghasts that literally ruin everything it literally broke my turtle egg

This is a very efficient farm. I just built the outer blocks to fill in and already there were spawns. Works perfectly and has very good spawn rates
If you don't have frost walker boots, just toggle sneak in settings. Saves your fingers sooooooo much work.
We're not gonna talk about how many times I died making this 😅😅😅

You’re an absolute legend.
Super important when building!!!!! Place in the iron golem/turtle egg after u spawn proof. otherwise the pigmen will get agroed at the golem/eggs (without the egg, they wont get agroed immediately, but will eventually) if u do it b4, u will get attacked by ghasts since the spawn cycle is moving so fast. they will break ur platform, and itll be a struggle to fight them whilst spawn proofing. I ended up wasting 3 stacks of magma repair their damage.

This farm is AMAZING! I am already at 92 levels, and this is the first time that I've ever had this many levels, all without having to keep clicking on my mouse!
There are several issues with the farm/tutorial:
1. Amount of Magma blocks and slabs are not accurate in the description(needed *roughly* 6 more stacks of magma and 4 of slabs)
2. *SPAWN PROOF BEFORE* placing the golem and turtle egg ; and make a temporary wall around the thing, so no aggro immediately.
3. Carry a bow to kill Ghasts/deflect fireballs. OR build spawn proof with slabs BEFORE / AS you are building the magma platform.
4. Item filter and/or bigger storage is required. Farm is incredibly efficient despite the golem killing a few pigmen.
5. Frost walker IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It is labeled "optional", however you might destroy your diamond armor if not used.
To the creator of this farm/video: The tutorial is very easy to follow and well made. I am just done building it and cant thank you enough!!
So I built this farm twice in survival, and have some tips for you...
-Use boat instead of cobwebs in case u will fall from edges (happens)
-Start by placing slabs bcs I wasted about stack of magma fixing holes made by ghasts
-before building main plato make a box around golem place so pigmen don't block Ur vision when working with drop-thing and putting golem
-if u r able to make an easy flying machine to the top, its worth it

Slime blocks also work in case you don't have cobwebs, you'll just bounce a bit lol. Great tutorial!
FOR ANYONE WATCHING THIS THAT NEEDS MAGMA BLOCKS
you don't need to build a magma farm just tunnel for a bit in the nether until you find a magma block pocket and if you ave eff V you will gigga drill it, if you don't have eff 5 it will still mine very very fast so if you don't wanna build another farm
or you can just either build a magma cube farm and make magma from it
another good tip is to use a fire resist potion so that you dont take damage from the a magma blocks, i didnt know this so just wanted to put it out there for any other idiots like me

You probably could calculate it yourself, so I'd say you should check if I made a mistake.
It takes:
46 stacks and 20 magma blocks,
16 stacks and 28 slabs,
10 and 1 temporary trap door,
a stack and 30 scaffolding,
8 hoppers and any additional ones in case you wanna extend the 4 chests,
2 stacks and 10 walls,
2 temporary red stone blocks,
2 signs and 2 lava buckets,
9 glass blocks (he used 10, but you'll see why),
2 stacks and 16 solid blocks (↑),
a turtle egg, 4 iron blocks, a carved pumpkin,
two cobwebs or balls (with feather falling boots, not so much with a potion),
a door, a button, a patience and exactly one bunch of temporary blocks.
By the way you could:
leave out every second slab on top (not on the outside),
leave out every second wall, except on the bottom and top,
fall to your death.

The best thing when building this is that when a ghast spawns it shoots me. breaks a few blocks. i shoot a fireball at it back. then the fireball explodes into a zombie piglin and all the 200 zombie piglins got mad at me and i almost died. i didnt die cuz i have elytra. but still it was close. now i have to wait 30 minutes for them to forgive me. bruh

In 1.17, you must have the mobGriefing gamerule set to TRUE for the pigmen to aggro. Hope this helps!

Pro tip: If you are struggling to find a bunch of magma and can't be bothered to make another farm, head down one of your staircases that you made to get netherite. You will find quite a lot.

this production quality of this tutorial is of the highest that i have seen anywhere. this video is very noob-friendly and is perfect for the >90% of people building this for the first time. in this entire video i could not find a single mistake that makes a certain part confusing or ambiguous. the dimensions of all the blocks you need to place is very clear, and it shows that you have taken alot of time to plan out tutorial to be as straight forward as possible.
when making a tutorial video, this is an example of the gold standard. planned ahead building process, simple and non-distracting music, and making sure that the only point of this video is the tutorial itself. i cannot express how satisfied i am with the perfection of this tutorial's quality. you have my like and sub. great job, keep going.
Not only did he miscalculate the blocks when building the platform (14 instead of 12) and didn't even acknowledge that anywhere, so you have to go to the comment section and get lucky by finding the comment adressing it, the farm also only works fast when standing on the magma platform, even tho I literally double-checked everything and followed the tutorial block-for-block. He also forgot to mention to make the ghast spawn-proofing first, making the build very annoying to build for most people. Literally just wasted my time on this.

have no Pigmen who will drop down.

BIG TIP if ur golem is dying make sure you don't move him at all after you spawn him he needs to be on the center of the block

Everyone who said "great tutorial" has clearly never built it for themselves in survival. There are a few key flaws in this tutorial which make it 2x harder to build. Firstly, you should've made us place in the slabs right after finishing the magma so ghasts wouldn't spawn throughout the rest of the building. Secondly, you should've made us place the turtle egg after the shoulder trapdoors so the iron golem doesn't die. Apart from that though, it was a good video

same issue, the range of attack from iron golem is 1 block, and maybe the zombied pigolin have the same range. I don`t know how to make work sucefull

Disclaimer: the title said 12000 (items)/hour, not 12000 gold nugget/hour. Love the design and very simple to build.
I am playing on a server and after I have made it, it seems to actually be incredibly slow. The piglins spawn slowly, and don't agro or sprint towards the iron golem like I saw beforehand. I have made sure there is no caves and that there are no issues with the build, the only reason I could find to possibly be an issue was me playing on a server with 1 of my friends.

This farm is godlike! I got 30lvl in less than a minute from 0 after i finally built that! It was insane to build this in survival with a fixed difficulty but damn its absolutely the most useful thing to build in survival!!!
So that being said I want to share my experience building this:
1) Its waaay more safe to build roof first after magma floor perimeter and fill the floor second (It will prevent ghosts spawn by the time you building). Also I recommend to build a 1.5 block wall around a center (with a layer of magma floor inside so you can move around a hole) to prevent pigmen from agro too early and then place a golem with an egg; You can destroy this wall safely from a roof after you finish!
2) If you somehow unable to obtain a cobweb you can use slime blocks as well (but dont fall on it crounching or you'll take damage)!

Hey bro do you know why my farm drops pigmen really slow? They take forever to spawn and then to run after the egg. Nobody else is in the nether so it shouldn’t mess with the spawning

Hey, to anyone who is not getting proper rates and they are hardly spawning, it is annoying. I suffered this problem but there is a fix. It’s an annoying one, but if you want it to work then you gotta do it and I’m sure there might be a better way to go around this I don’t know. But what I done to fix this is go into the biome under your farm and place slabs all over it. Maybe not the whole biome, but the area around your farm so take the cords of it. Although it’s a hassle, you can farm the slabs easily from the crimson forest biomes with the wood there. Hope this helps.

The pigmen dont seem to be spawning very much at all until I tower up a few blocks from where you are supposed to afk is there a reason for this?

I built everything to a T but the zombie pigman spawn rate is ike broken as in like 3 are spawning every 5 minutes, i went up to the level they were at and a ton spawned for a bit but then it stopped, does anyond know whats wrong?

@@shadowstrike211 I have the same issue. I am playing on a server with difficulty "normal" and I'm not getting nearly as many drops or lvl. I am aware that thje difficulty might have an effect but I believe it cannot be that big. I checked biome and turtle egg and both are fine .. :/ went afk for about 5-6h and gained "only 90lvl" ...
Under the bedrock roof make sure to spawnproof everything above y lvl ~95 in a 64x64 area by adding a shitton of slabs or pressure plates in nether, this prevents zombie pigmen from spawning down there while ur in the afk-room, making every single one spawn at the top. We had this issue and this fixed it. Trying it as im typing this comment and went from 70 to 147 in 45 minutes

Why are rates slower when I go down to the afk platform
'cause the spot where the afk room is is not the ideal one for sporn rating. but if u wanna collect the xp you cant build an afk spot that also allows pack sporning (eh or u build the mega complicated gold farm from ilmango where the zombi piglings also fall down and the xp will be transported back to you in height.)
The farm is great but just annoying to build with out frost walker
Golem is disappering because pigmans hitting him somehow... does anybody know solution
Make sure there are no blocks that the pigmen can stand on that are next to the golem, also make sure that the whole is surrounded by wall except on the area where they need to fall in.
