    Thanks for watching! What's your favorite way to cook while camping?

      Love cooking over a campfire if and when possible.

      I like to use my double burner propane stove. I’ve had it 20+ years. Also we reheat leftovers in our camper grill- very carefully with foil. It works great especially crisps up leftover pizza (when we actually camp near civilization).

    Going camping tomorrow and I'm so upset I'm just finding this video clip. I must admit I'm looking forward to this purchase in the near future. It makes having the ultimate camp kitchen a breeze. Thanks 😊.

    Just got the 22inch Blackstone tabletop model, makes cooking so much easier. No more cooking over the fire now.

    This looks awesome. I got the 17" for Father's Day. I like how quickly it heats up. My biggest challenge with the pop up has been backing up with it. It's new to me. We did a trial run at a local campground in Valley Center, CA where I live. I didn't want Yosemite to be my first run. Very stressful getting into our spot but finally got it. This time was smoother!

    Great setup. We have the 22" & I am most definitely going to see if table setup is available, WOW I like the convenience. We have been using a flat top for a very long time, and have cooked every thing on it. As always we see the neatest things on your channel, quite helpful. We have several folding tables, however your setup would eliminate extra gear that we do not need. Reducing overall space eating tables, and extra weight. Thanks for sharing. Bless our popup Family.

    Yes i like very much. I have a blackstone 17” griddle with the hood as well. Just got it too. You two said it perfect have the menus setup for the griddle. I have seen some videos of people having a pot on it on one side and cooking on the other side. Might have to test that idea with a coffee pot percolator or something in the morning. We will see just a lot you can do with it. Another great video keep them coming.

    Wow!! Neat! Do they still sell these? I was interested in the smaller size griddle and the serving station. I was looking for something like this not to overdo it in our tiny indoor kitchen in our tiny camper. 😂 I love hamburgers but I don’t want to have to smell it during the whole trip! Thanks for sharing! Happy travels!

    Love your videos. One possible issue I noticed on your video on the Blackstone stove is that the propane nipple that sticks out of the side can easily be bent or broken. They look like great stoves but probably would be an issue during transport or use. Thoughts? Thanks again for great information.

    I’ve heard so many great things about the Blackstone, so your recommendation just added to it. I was wondering, though, if there’s a worry or problem with raccoons, bears, etc. getting into the setup at night? Also, when you leave your campsite to go hiking, etc., do you also worry about theft?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 роки тому +1

      At night, we clean all food items out of the prep cart and clean the Blackstone so it’s ready to go in the morning for breakfast. I could see raccoons going after the garbage or the grease cup. As a matter of practice, we don’t always dispose of those at the end of the night, but it certainly would help to not attract critters by disposing of those items. If you’re in bear country, I would give everything a thorough cleaning, definitely dispose of the grease cup and garbage bag, and place everything that smells like food in your vehicle or a bear box. I would place the Blackstone in your vehicle and secure it there.
      As far as theft, no, we don’t worry about it and just leave it out. With that being said, and this goes for anything of value you don’t want to walk away - just place it in the vehicle and secure it there if you’re leaving your campsite.

      @@ItsPoppin Definitely good advice. I heard a story about people who left their Coleman stove open & outside at their campsite overnight, and then saw that it was gone in the morning. They later found that it was dragged off into the surrounding woods. They said that it was in good shape and that it was the cleanest it had ever been! 😂

      Highly recommended! At least in the Midwest, I think a lot of products are going on sale due to the “end of the season.” So it might not be a bad time to pick up a portable model.

    Bought the same BS in June. Can't get it to ignite. 1st time propane user. Any suggestions. Tried adjusting the needle but still nothing. It looks pretty sitting in the yard.😊

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  2 роки тому

      Can you hear propane flowing when you turn the knob to ignite? If not, Disconnect the propane tank and open up the valves and let it sit for a bit. Reattach everything and slowly open the propane tank. This is my best suggestion.

    Can you throw a pot on top of the griddle to say boil water to cook pasta. That way you can avoid using the outdoor burners our Jayco pop up has. Also how do you clean the griddle?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 роки тому

      Cast-iron is safe for cooking atop the Blackstone (though I'll be honest, we've never tried it). As for cleaning, a good post-meal scrape, a quick oil down, and then a wipe with some paper towel is all it takes!

    Hey guys! Odd question - how well is the sticker holding up on the side of your camper? We bought one, and we have stickers from other state parks, but I was worried that the textured siding on our camper would make it difficult for our stickers to stay... well, stuck! Have you had any issues? Thanks! Much love from Texas!!

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 роки тому

      So far so good, even on the textured siding. They're printed vinyl stickers, so nothing too fancy, but it's held up to a handful of trips thus far.
